Hello there, thanks for taking the time to do this awesome video! I'm about to do the same rear subframe refresh on my 406 Estate and this was very cool and useful to watch. I just wanted to comment that all tightening specs were in agreement with the Haynes manual except for two of them. In Haynes is says "Upper arm: Inner pivot bolt: 95 Nm , Outer pivot bolt: 75 Nm" (this is the thin suspension arm passing near the spring, shown at 5:45). Assuming the Haynes manual is correct, you might have gotten the two values switched up. This might be valuable for anyone like us who want to follow the brand specs for maximum safety. Thanks again !

Great work! I got a 406 Break 2.0 and the subframes as well as the underbody are quite rusty. So hopefully i will do the same like you in spring next year. What paint did you use for axles ? Epoxy? And can you estimate how much all bushings would cost together ? (i will not use PU ones but original rubber ones) Would love to see more of your 406. Sorry for my english ;)

Awesome! I need to do the same thing as the subframe is one big rusty chunk.. I already did rear wheel overhaul as well as front struts.. but the rusty subframe is still bothering me... how much did that sanding cost you?

Yep, the body on these cars is galvanized from the factory so pretty solid but the subframes are so poorly done. The only bit from the suspension that is galvanized and painted on top from the factory is the rear lower control arms. I had other stuff chucked in the whole deal with the blasters so can't tell how much was just for the subframe and suspension components. Shouldn't be more than £150 for both front and rear subframes and suspension components, et cetera...

@@bobbysplace7993 Scotland, never mind was worth a shot. I'm in the Midlands. How much do you think is reasonable to pay. To get all the underneath work done, same as yours? Brakes, suspension everything Cheers.

Hi Neil, unfortunately, they are not available anymore. The company that used to make them dropped the quality of the products and just went tits up. Check the UK 406Coupe club forum. There is a guy still doing some poly bushes and 3D printed subframe poly mounts www.406coupeclub.org/PHPBB3/
