OMG Tony my husband does not have his own business, but he pays 100 percent all bills and taxes. Just like when he lived alone. Plus buys me a car, pays all insurance, all doctors bills, supports our two children, and we are not rich. He does not touch any of my money, does not ask to help with anything. And he is not sad in any way.

This message is spot on. I grew up in a household where my dad provided everything. He did not allow my mom to pay any bills bc he took the role as the provider. He would even tell me & my sister growing up to never let a man play us into settling for the 50/50 split. Of course he said we should ALWAYS have our own & to never depend on a man for anything just in case he tries to leave & use money over our heads. But other than that, he said a man who truly loves you will provide for you & the family. I believe it too. This generation is so twisted with its standards.. making it seem like a woman is a “gold digger” for wanting a man who wants to wholeheartedly provide without question. & I also agree that it’s rare to find men with your mindset Tony! So true. I'm 41 yrs old and my parents told me nothing about the type of man that I should marry except that he should be Black. 😳 It took me this long, 2 marriages, & 3 kids, to figure out that I should marry a provider that has earned my trust & respect, that loves me, & puts God first. I will teach my kids better. I don't want them to have the same experiences that I've had. Period.

Men like Tony seem to be the next dinosaurs....extinct. The few men that I know who provide for their wives are then abusive and neglectful to their wives/marriage. Myles Munroe also gave a great sermon on the downfall of gender roles in the household and its ramifications. This is such a huge issue yet the world is ignoring it.
There are still many, but us as women are being raised to be masculine, and that repels a healthy provider man. When I turned on my feminine energy, provider men started to respond to that.
I actually agree with your stance that the men being the provider and paying all the bills. And I am a man, and frankly I make + inherit alot of money. However, the economics of the US have changed. Women in mass have entered the workforce. This has driven inflation adjusted wages sharply down because there is an oversupply of skilled workers. That means that a man earning a median wage makes significantly less (less than half) of what his counterpart did two generations ago doing a similarly skilled job. For your median family most men used to be able to meet this demand easily, for instance a factory job paid $75,000 in todays dollars from the 1950's. Now most men do not earn enough to do this. A simple thoughtless response would be he should make more money but that isn't a real answer at a macro economic scale. It is now a luxury to live on one income statistically. Also there is a double issue. Women's general modesty and the prudence of society used to regulate the top 5-10% of males. They couldn't go around being womanizers or perrenial bachelors because it was a stain on their reputation. Now your top 5-10% like myself and many of my colleagues that earn in excess of $500,000 simply will not settle down and unfortunately dominate a large segment of suitable women. This leaves an undersupplybof economically attractive men to women who are also interested getting married. I hope more women like yourself realize this. I explained it to a recent girlfriend. How many Masters degree, 5 inches taller than you, 2-300k plus earners, who are well adjusted, kind, and want to settle down and match your background / beliefs are there? 0.1%? This is a macro issue and the inflation caused by this to the average american household is now sticky as you can see in house prices and depressed wages. My 2 cents.
In my humble opinion, Tony has learned how to copartner with God that is why he adores his wife and family because in the end it all points to devotion. Devotion to God and devotion to his family. That is what makes all the difference.
My father, uncle, grandfather paid the mortgage. The women paid the housing expenses that's utilities etc. and this includes groceries. They all worked full time jobs. Hey my dad wasn't a church goer, but was baptized in the church and chose at the age of 18 to no longer go to church. My mother took us to church every week. If we complain she go get our father to get us up on Sunday. I never knew why she use our dad a non-believer but he would say "I was a believer until I was 18 and no longer lived in my mother and father house. As long as you are under this roof you will go to church." Well we still going to church every week and a believer of Christ and his word. Just to say I am a 70's baby so family dynamics different. My father accepted Christ again in his life before he died 3 years ago. TG right men need to know you are a human being. My dad used to say that men these days are boys and looking for mommas. Only men see what other men are doing. Until women begin paying attention to what men are doing. You will be dating exactly Grown boys and women putting men in latest categories.

Tony, my husband of 49 years passed away 2 years ago. He had the exact same mindset as yourself. He loved me and our family just as Scripture teaches ... and much more! I know many, many times he chose to forsake his own “want” so that our family would #1) always have all that we needed; and #2) many times what wasn’t “necessary.” He would have given his life for me and either one of our 3 boys.I had known him for 51 years. I know without any doubt our Father put us together! Thank you Tony for your strong Christ-like life and faith-filled messages. Some will listen, some will refuse the wisdom and insight ... remain faithful to God’s call on your heart. Many Blessings as you remain faithful to His Word.

You’re right! Gratitude is definitely taught. My parents taught me and my siblings this through their behavior, so when I show extreme gratitude for small things, it often looked at as odd. I give and don’t expect much gratitude back because throughout the years I’ve learned that it’s not in most people.

The men who want to go 50/50 on finances never bring up how hard it is to carry and birth a child. You never hear let's go 50/50 on carrying a baby. Saw how my mom went through the 50/50 life and it really turnt me off marriage. Her life was short because she was doing too much.

I have worked my whole life and honestly it's not hard for a man to provide. Single mom's do it daily. Motherhood has been the hardest thing to do in my life, not providing. And to not be supported especially with raising a man's legacy................. it's too much for a woman. I don't throw around the term man lightly. There's just not as many out here....plenty of boys. But they aren't making the leap when a woman enables by picking up the slack. He's not gonna pick up the slack for you. Stop the madness.

I found this video looking for men who are providers that speak on how men can become providers. I appreciate the message, the only cringy part of the video was hearing the misinformation about the Quran…there is only one Quran yet so many different versions of the Bible. I was born into a Christian family, I am the grandson of a minister…it was a good foundation but becoming a Muslim and submitting my will to God is the reason I seek more conversation about being a provider…and like you said listening to God is truly the way to become a provider, I agree…the Quran is not at all oppressive to women. Let’s not spread misinformation of other religions in the midst of getting our point across, I doubt that was your intention and I know this video is a year old but I felt it was still worth the mention…blessings to you and your family brother. This particular video is pretty amazing. And ironically, it's not really about the provider angle, even though that's what drew me to the video, since I'm a woman and it's what I'm supposed to look for in a husband. Plus you laid it out plainly, as there is a lot of arguments about this and people making it out to be transactional. It's more what you said, that we should be unconditional, we should be more forgiving, loving and caring, as how God and Jesus loved everyone. The way you put it was pretty thoughtful. It's what I felt I've been losing of late.
