After years of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, I’m free of all symptoms. I attacked inflammation, sugar, processed foods. Sure I eat predominately meat but I do what I want. I lost 45 pounds since June 1,2023 and did some 36 hour fast (under the supervision of my dr) and mostly I eat 1 or two times a day and limit my calories and processed, inflammatory foods. Worked for me. Good luck!

I can’t say enough about the 36 hour fasting. I worked up to it with a few weeks of 18-24 hour fasting then on the third 36 hour was done my psoriasis was completely gone. I was communicating with my dr and getting blood tests, checking my blood sugar and such. I’m glad I did. It was like a reboot to my system and now I maintain with OMAD on most days. No soda, processed foods, inflammatory eating. Certainly no milk. I’m 45 pounds lighter and have a new life. Good luck to you with Psoriasis, it’s an awful condition to contend with.

@Barefoothustle

@@LovelessHealthSolutions absolutely. I don’t talk a lot to my friends and family about my diet because to those that have been following the USDA food pyramid, my habits may seem extreme. A carnivore diet and fasting may seem to some as being “out there” instead I encourage friends to try anything EXCEPT the USDAs recommended food chart and to limit meals to small portions and cut out processed foods. When they see small changes just from that, they come back wanting more information. psoriasis foundation had a marketing slogan years back, “works for me” and that is still the thought here. This works for me. Hoping everyone finds their own “works for me” situation.

Idk the internet has me confused. What seems to help me the most in general eating a small portion of meat (best quality I can get from a butcher shop). I use a lot of olive oil. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies and use herbs to lower inflammation. When I go off my diet everything flares up. I noticed going for higher quality food, taking care of my gut health, and keeping stress low really helps. Also I don’t do gluten anymore. I used to feel tired a lot and had GI issues along with mood instability and that went away when I cut gluten out. But you’re right. A lot of peoples bodies are different.

In the UK, 99% of beef is dry aged for 21-30 days. So I feel super itch after eating beef because of the high histamine. I feel itch with lamb too, in Chinese culture, people like to eat lamb during winter because we think lamb can help heat up our body. Maybe that’s the reason I feel more itch.

I live in Ireland. I noticed all the supermarkets sell aged meat like Rib eye. But if u go to your local butcher they should sell u fresh Rib eye . I heard on another channel that fresh Rib eye is more healthy especially if u trying to heal methobalic disease. Also don't be afraid to ask your butcher for Suet which is really important. They probably won't give it to u in the butcher part in the supermarkets hence the reason I don't buy meat here in the supermarkets

So I have been dealing with psoriatic arthritis for the last year now. Before even considering biological medication I wanted to try some different natural healing processes. So, I have heard about the carnivore diet, more specifically the lion diet; which people are claiming has healed or helped massively their autoimmune problems. So I started the lion diet last week, only grass fed / finished beef, tallow, salt and water (I also started at the same time a 16:8 Intermittent fasting. This last week I have had one of the worse flair ups of my knee and my psoriasis has also gotten worse. I have read that some people also have had the a kind of transitioning period and I am now unsure if I should even carry on eating just beef or if it's the thing causing all these issues. Yesterday I decided to cut tallow to see if that will make a difference (the tallow was high quality). Please, anyone who can relate or advise me on the above, please let me know.

Hi, I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis about two years ago. I was told that the covid virus triggered the gene, in other words has woken up the psoriatic arthritis gene in my body. So far l do not have visible psoriasis that you can see but l have swollen fingers , elbows and extreme fatigue. Anyway the biggest trigger for a flare up is stress and than diet. Carbs, sugar and alcohol are definitely my enemy's causing flare ups. I started the carnivore diet about 5 weeks ago. Lost some weight and sadly to say some muscle too. I also fast 16 hours every day meaning I only eat one large meal a day. My elbows are feeling better no pain and the swelling in my fingers is almost gone. I also don't feel as tired anymore. However if l deviate from my carnivore diet by eating the slightest amount of sugar or carb l can feel it in my fingers the swelling within hours. l do feel that the carnivore diet could affect everyone differently but l think its worth to try it out at least for 6 months to a year if possible with the guidance of a doctor. One also should take some essential vitamins. Vitamin D3, K2, Zinc, Magnesium and Vitamin C . All those vitamins will help regulate your immune system and that is important. Also you need to take some non-sugar electrolytes that will help you in case you struggle with some Keto symptoms. Also drink plenty of water very important. By the way l never took nor will l ever take the meds they prescribe for psoriatic arthritis. I feel those meds will create other health issues in the long run that can be worse than psoriatic arthritis.

CAFO meat is fine. Check out the Andersen family. Joe and Charlene have been eating CAFO choice ribeye for 25+ years without any problems. In fact, they went grassfed at great expense for a time and developed nutritional deficiencies. All cattle are grass fed, some are grain finished, and technically grains ARE grasses.

I added 3 oz wild venison to my dinner every day for a month and I noticed my Psoriasis progressively getting worse gradually over that month. Nothing else changed It's been 2 weeks now since I stopped eating venison and my skin is progressively getting better so I obviously have an issue. Is there a way to test if my gal bladder is weak or if my stomach acid is not strong enough?

Stomach acid. Try apple cider vinegar before meals and bile salts for gallbladder after meals. If you feel more energetic and less bloat after meals that's a good sign. Or take Thotne Advanced digestive enzymes. Has both.

I’ve been trying some version of carnivore diet for about two weeks now. I’ve never dieted before, and don’t know what I’m doing. My husband just started doing this, and had told me basically, we just eat meat, and a little milk, cheese and butter. I had already started having some psoriasis last year, and am very unhappy about it. It’s actually starting to cause some small bald spots! So far, the psoriasis is still pretty bad. Also, I haven’t started to lose any weight yet, and my headaches and joint pains are as bad as ever too. Some days I feel that I just REALLY want something like broccoli or Brussels sprouts, or orange juice. The meat, meat, meat, is not super delicious all the time. But I’m going to stick with it for at least 2 months to give it a proper chance. I’m hoping to improve my liver health.

I am happy about the weight loss but I developed this scalp problem about a month ago and hvae been off my carnivore diet the last couple of days, trying to improve my gut health as I've read that is what is causing my psoriasis. But nothing really has helped. I am on medicare alone with no supporting insurance as it's to expensive. Shoot medicare cost $200 a month!
