Hello Helen, my Father-in-law had a vine plant like that. He cherished it because it was his mother’s plant. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 93. My husband, who was his son, passed in October 2019 also. He was 60. My mother-in-law lived on till this past December, 2021, she was 95. Everyone in the family has a piece of that plant and we all cherish it because it survived so long. Those plants are so hearty and they grow so easily. Every time I water it I think of my father-in-law and his mother and family. It’s very comforting to care for these plants, and to have them with us. 🥰

Helen, don't put yourself down, we enjoy watching you and your critters. We are blessed to be able to watch you. Love hearing all your stories about your home and growing up. So keep them coming. Hawks may get a few, but God makes sure more come along to replace what is missing.

Helen, I am just a few months younger than you and I have developed one good habit for anytime I climb. Before I step up on a ladder or a stool, I call someone with a little time on their hands and leave the phone open the entire time I climb up to do anything. If I fell I'd be yelling and they could get help for me. Just a little safety precaution. I hope you will consider adopting this as one of your habits. We all pray for your safety all the time.

Hello Ms. Helen. I was listening to what you said about your son's plant. I wanted to say that plants are like people in that they pass from one generation to the next like one hand holding the next. Your plant is rarely propagated through seeds but by cuttings. You could start some cuttings and share them with others. That way you know that the chances of your plant being cared for are multiplied. Also, since it most likely came from a cutting, it is already shared to unknown multitudes. Each day that we live, we share things about ourselves with the people around us. Like that plant, bits of your son are still out there. They look like happy memories and reasons for decisions and events lived through because of his support and kind words. You're like the plant that the cuttings came from. You passed from your hand to his hand and his hand, on to others. Feel secure that your plant doesn't need to live forever to have a forever impact.

I think your recent drop in views is just because people are out and about getting back to their normal lives after this horrible virus outbreak...they have less time to watch RU-vid...like me...but I have to admit I'm addicted to RU-vid now...I think I watch it more than regular TV...and definitely prefer it to regular TV...And I love Bluebirds also...and have had them for years...last year the dreaded House Sparrows invaded my yard and destroyed 3 boxes...the Bluebirds left and I was so sad...but they are back this Spring...YAY! I agree Miss Helen, I like things the way they were....technology is okay but it seems to have taken over our lives at times. So are the house Sparrows Helen mine are always being aggressive toward each other trying to take over the feeder. I didn't know a person could grow meal worms....interesting.👍 Even people like a clean bed to rest in. Hahaha 😂😂Little dancer loves to make squealing noises. Your Mother was absolutely beautiful Miss Helen, that's where you get your good looks for sure. Those are some heavy duty iron stands for the bird houses, that's what I need to look for. We seen just fine, I love the way you have them situated in a row, great for taking video of all of them at once. Perfect job....well done. I read somewhere birds like their houses in the open so they can see things coming from afar. Like predators and the like. There's a cat in my neighbourhood that everyone loves, I think he got one of the baby sparrows just after it learned to fly. Milo the cat is beautiful and it's a natural instinct they have, but since them I have told him he can't be chasing my birds. I do believe he listened to me Miss Helen. I have bird House's to, and I've read up on them, and from what I've learned is that your suppose to remove the old nest so they can build a knew nest, that's what I do, love you Helen. God bless

I believe your plant is a philodendron. They are a hardy plant and the clippings will root in water.

Hi Helen, 🐦🐦🐦 We loved your talking video. It is so nice to be able to sit down with our cup of coffee and enjoy watching you. I never knew that bluebirds prefer one color to another, so..... I had to Google it 🤣 It says that bluebirds in Georgia prefer earth color tones for their birdhouses, like greens or browns but not bright colors, as it attracts predators like hawks, etc.. Miss Helen, don't worry if you lose a few subscribers. You still have many. Just concentrate on that. That's great you have birdhouses out for the blue birds. I love sitting and watching hummingbirds. I was thinking it was time for me to get my feeders all cleaned up and put some sugar water in them. I love to sit and watch all birds. See you on your next video. I think if you paint your bird houses blue it may attract more blue birds but not necessarily.

Ms. Helen, Bluebirds are territorial and if they inhabit one box, will run off any other bluebird within 100 yards from inhabiting the others. Bluebird boxes need to be spaced 125-150 feet apart.

I like that your birdhouses open in the front for cleaning out each Spring.

Helen, I just read on line that if you buy an owl decoy it will scare the hawks away because they don’t like owls. Home decoy have owl decoys. Also a scarecrow might keep hawks away from your bird feeder areas. I meant to type HOME DEPOT have the owl decoys.
