I'm no Quake hstorian, but the creator of In The Shadows is Simon OCallaghan - creator of Arcane Dimensions. I think it's fairly safe to say that ITS was dropped in favor of that project, which is much more traditional Quake but also much more popular and polished.

Looks like it to me. All the new enemies from that ModDB screenshot are in Arcane Dimensions. So is the axe.

That Shambler coming out of the slipgate was hilarious for some reason. It was like the mod author giving the player the Nelson "haaa haaa" laugh.

The stealth mechanic, not so great, but the level design slightly nodding back to, and even fully recreating parts of the original quake maps in a new light is really neat! When I saw the environment at 4:11, I immediately thought of the button "puzzle" in E1M1 of quake, and I have no idea if it was intentional but its a cool accident if it was one

Can you play this with Vanilla Quake levels? I always thought that Quake had a bit of a high enemy threat bias compared to DPS and I think this would help me enjoy it.

to anyone who uses gzdoom: everytime i launch gzdoom (using steam) my keyboard stops working completely. escape button, wasd etc. someone please help, i really want to play doom and heretic/hexen again :(

Slayer Maybe try using a different version of gzdoom and see if that makes a difference

Does the keyboard work in the main menu? You might need to bind the keys in customize controls. If it just straight out does not work at all anywhere in GZDoom, then I'm not sure. My only guess is that if you're using Steam's game streaming from your main computer to a Steam Link or another pc, I've had issues with GZDoom ignoring my keyboard using that.

I guess you should try to get a hold of someone in the Zdoom forums, try making an appropriate thread or posting in one that exists that has a similar issue or is a general issue thread.

Slayer try Zdoom or Qzdoom? Zdoom is older, and has less graphical bits and bobs, but it could work! does the screen go black? maybe it's because the open GL mode

well original Thief is a brilliant example of how a good stealth game can be
