Hey John, Always great stuff. I wanted to mention that when replacing the handle (I prefer the left hand retrieve) the thread is reversed. Glad I noticed before ripping the nut right off. Keep up the awesome vids

After watching mr. Skinner fish this reel, I purchased from J&H Tackle along with the power handle. Just practicing in backyard so far but the reel is very easy to get tuned in.

I have a Accurist in a 6.3-1 and the handle although smooth is a bit small. I'm going to replace it with a bigger one soon. Although I don't need a power knob I am wanting bigger knobs for it.

I put this handle on my Accurist last year. It's a must have.

Hey john love tour videos I've caught 2 very small fluke on a baitcaster but can't seem to get many but it's probably that I don't catch many fluke but I just caught my first keeper ever at 22 inches ,I'm 14 i know it's bad that I just now caught my first keeper but I was fishing a very very well known spot on shore in wildwood... great videos any pointers of jetty fishing for fluke would be nice thanks

Hi John, immediately after i saw your "3 John's" fluking video last week, I went on jiggingworld.com and ordered the power handle for my Accurist. Oh my god, limited out with nice sized fluke on 3 trips, including one 10.4 pounder out of Captree. What used to be a cause for concern with the double paddle is no longer an issue. You're absolutely correct, it's like a new reel entirely. Thanks for the tip, as always. Stay safe!

hey John would you recommend backing the braid with mono or flouro carbon? some say braid slips without some sort of backing.

Sir, you are a Flounder catching machine. I'd give almost anything to be able to spend a few days on the water with you.

I bought this reel based on your experience and I regret it! :( The first issue happened on the sixth mission. The flip switch broke. No extra pressure or anything applied. Also with this particular reel, I wasn't able to pull out of the body the spool. Luckily the reel was under warranty. The second came with malfunctioning casting switch. It doesn't return/switch on handle spin in 95%. Honestly I don't recommend this reel to anyone.
