Bought your cookbook a while ago. You're the best Indian cook for novices especially since you explain the basics. Hope you continue this new series for a while.
Made this today and I honestly wasn't expecting much from how simple it looked, but it was a lot tastier than I would have thought! Very rich flavor probably owing to the butter and coconut milk. Only issue I encountered was that the paneer that I made was too soft so parts of it broke down into the sauce. I'll have to try to make it a bit firmer next time. Anyways, great recipe as always, Julian!
So happy to see you back cooking on RU-vid! My significant other has a severe coconut allergy, and most of the time I prefer not to murder her with my cooking. If I had to switch out the coconut milk for cream, would the amount and everything else be the same?
Great new set up looks ace...the main curry man is back...superb recipes and great presenter,I made your base gravy around 7 years ago...👌😉😉 ill be watching and sharing
Thanks for the veggie dishes, I swap Paneer for tofu and it's 'almost' as good, I think it's the sauce that makes it anyway and I can't wait to try making this!
Reminds me of Makhni sauce using green chiles and kashmiri red chili powder. I also love the combo of cumin and fennel seeds together...wonderful with tomato based gravy. Mace blades also great to use in whole garam masala mix and honey also good sub for sugar. Nice tip on using oil before butter.....is it next Friday yet?!!!!
