i highly doubt that the HR bit is real, if they supposedly have a huge zero tolerance policy there’s no way in hell multiple complaints against the two are ignored outright and someone above the HR guy isn’t under pressure from his boss

There's even a real species of lizard that curls and puts its tail in its mouth as a defense mechanism, almost like a reptilian armadillo. But OP's metaphor reminds me more of Sysiphus, eternally pushing the boulder up the mountain.

That HR complaint should have warned something the moment 3rd O.P quit: I don't know about others, but if someone informed me they resigned out of protest ... I'm taking that complaint extra seriously. If one person with morals and the means refuses to work under a manger, then there are likely others who are simply 'enduring.' That toxic environment will lead to loss in profits even without someone else getting revenge, at best. At worse - That manager ends up getting the company involved in a lawsuit on top of the loss profits due to bad moral.
Entitled brat in the first story was clearly the kind of person who assumed that a job in entertainment means you're being paid to be entertained. It's sad how common this assumption actually is. But not as sad as those who assume that being paid IS the entire job.

I love this channel. It’s a nice change from the robot voices that read reddit posts. This channel is much more human and personable than other reddit reading channels (that are read by humans). The commentary between posts is a refreshing change. It feels like I’m chatting with a friend rather than someone just reading post after post. Plus, I have developed an emotional attachment to Yugo lol

Since I'm an event engineer that first story made me burst out in laughter. I learned in germany and you need to know much more than just how to push buttons. He's such an entitled brat and he deserved that.

That sound engineer one pissed me off. I had the pleasure (and pain) of working as a sound guy for Hollywood clubs and raves for some years. One of the things about that job is that after all the hoofing of the heavy stuff and PROPERLY laying and securing XLR and power cables (and sometimes for the lighting setup also), then you get the pleasure and privilege of being able to operate and mix the band or DJ, and even get to run the lighting board at times. It’s actually amazing if you are a big fan of the act that you are the one mixing them and seeing the crowd going off and having your idols thank you after for doing such a good job mixing sometimes. You also get the most VIP of treatment, nice pay, and get to have free drinks (and free other extracurricular things if you so choose) Then it’s more heavy lifting lol. I guess being able to not do the “roadie” lifting and just the mixing would be the best, but in general that isn’t how it is since if you can wire up a system, then unless you are hearing impaired you can probably understand the equipment and do a good job mixing. You don’t usually get into one side without the interest and ability to do the other.
Spotty Oik is eerily similar to 95% of computer repair techs fresh out of A+ certification, delusions of competence, but utterly pathetic... Me; 20+ years of hands-on experience with Mac and PC, printers and Point of Sale register equipment, but with expired paper certs (certifications are essentially window dressing, hands on experience is better); excellent troubleshooting skills and repairs, great first time fix rate Newly A+ certified tech with attitude and delusions of grandeur; couldn’t troubleshoot their way out of a paper bag...
I work as a Novice stage hand(only 4 years) and I enjoy these kinds of stories soooooo much. I'm normally a humper, but ill go where I'm needed and I'm always looking to learn more of my trade
Depending on when it took place and in the US that boss that told OP to "wear baggy clothes" could have easily seen himself and since HR did nothing the company in a lawsuit. I'm no lawyer but I'd guess sexual harassment. They knew but did nothing except want the girls to dress down. They should praise not just OP but the other girls who could have also filled lawsuits.
Hey rslash I would like to recommend an idea. Friday’s can be pro revenge, Saturday/Sunday can be anything, Monday is entitled parents, Tuesday could be AITA, Wednesday could be choosing beggars, and Thursday malicious compliance. This could be an easy schedule to try out
This is where you need to take that person under your wing and say, "Hey, to get a good product we have to do it this way." Contractors, know a lot. If you are an inspector, ask questions about how they do work. It is in your right and it helps resolve issues. If a concrete contractor decides not to have a cold joint with the score, Ask "Hey is that going to cause cracks later because of old concrete bondage." Contractors, want good product, they DO NOT WANT TO REDO WORK!
THIS is true, I have seen Public people walk across concrete like idiots, and I want them to be able to fix concrete if they can. I want no sidewalk to be replaced, if possible.

The WWII battleships each had NINE of those bad boys on them and could fling the Mark 8 super heavy shells that each weighed 2,700lbs. That's dropping a lot of steel, so this girl must be tough.
