“YOU MADE A VOW!!!” And so did you a-hole. You made a vow not to cheat on her. Adultery breaks one of the 10 commandments whereas honoring your husband and raising someone else’s child is not on the list.

The fact that the first OP barely registered being slapped by her husband as irredeemable makes me suspect she's in one of those abusive, misogynistic religious communities. Telling the congregation won't amount to much; she needs to just get out of there, cut ties with everyone, and find herself a religious trauma support group.

Also, OP in the first story came back with an update! She stayed in the relationship for two months afterwards and tried to mother the child, but couldn't get over the resentment she felt towards the baby. Actively hating an innocent child and wishing harm on it was what made OP realise that she couldn't do this anymore and she got out of the relationship.

First Story: I would’ve laughed straight to his face the moment he said "we". I get OP is having a lot of emotions going on right now but the leading emotion she should have is pure rage. This man was having an affair, got her pregnant, tried to force OP into raising the kid, slapped OP, and kept using god to justify all of this. This man is insane and while I agree the kid don’t deserve anything, this guy deserves everything he gets. Divorce is an option always. Yo this sounds like a damn cult. OP needs to abandon ship and run from all of this. She is NOT obligated to take care of this child and she is NOT obligated to stay in a marriage with a guy about 15 years her senior Second Story: Well damn, OP is not taking no bs from this woman. Glad she didn’t immediately believe the lies this person told her about her husband. I honestly want to see the post the person OP is talking about made. That was honestly expected Comment: Why does some people automatically catch feelings and think they're in love with someone JUST because they were nice to them? Isn’t that a basic thing to be nice and polite? Some people are just insane Third Story: One word to describe this story: wholesome. All OP has to do now is legally adopt Hailey. Fourth Story: Wait, did OP say SHE was uncomfortable with him sleeping with another woman while she was loyal to him? Did OP already forget that he is MARRIED. The WIFE isn’t the other girl and second, OP is the other girl and the one that contributed to this affair lmao. All I know is that OP probably ruined a marriage. Not saying the guy is blameless because he is cheating on his wife but OP probably shouldn’t done some digging before she got pregnant and attached to this man Fifth Story: Amy does deserve better friends but she already started with gaining those friends with OP. OP was pissed FOR Amy because of how messed up these "friends" treated her because of what she looked like WHILE taking advantage of her. Good on OP for being a good friend Sixth Story: OP's wife is a horrible person and I can’t wait to hear the aftermath of this. I can’t wait to hear an update on how she reacts to OP giving her divorce papers and OP confronting her. Cheaters will always be considered trash in my eyes

There is update to first story, I will copy from reddit: I just wanna thank y'all for the support. I'm still processing this all, and I just need a little time. I don't feel unsafe, just unloved- just not enough. My husband did apologize for slapping me and continues to express regret, but he can't take it back. Just as he cannot take back impregnating another woman which ultimately killed her. I'm just feeling so disillusioned with my whole life right now, I know I should leave. I know that there is a world out there that will not treat me like this, but I am scared of change. I am working on a plan to leave and getting my ducks in a row for when I am ready to go, but I am not sure when I would leave if I choose to. Many expressed that I should make a report to the police about him slapping me, and they're probably right, but that would likely cause me more problems than it would be worth. If I leave it might make him want to contest the divorce more, and if I stay it would cause more tension. I've been working on my left hook though because I won't let him get away with it again. I'm not violent myself but I'm down for a tussle, because although I'm hurt; I am angry. I'm not sure if there will be an update- because I'm still unsure. I can make all the plans in the world but the change scares me almost as much as bending to his will. I've been praying about it but I see no clear answers or guidance. I don't know.

Of course it's very bad how the childhood friends treated the bridesmaid, yet I wouldn't enable her to being overweight. I know she is kindhearted, very sweet, great personality, but under no circumstances I would tell her that "she is beautiful as she is". I would, at most, tell her "she's beautiful in the inside" and also help her with the overweight. That she can turn her life around. Everyone deserves a companion in a weight loss journey. And also would be a perfect revenge on the childhood friends that called her ugly.
@GoldDragonJewelry
@GoldDragonJewelry Год назад
@@deadlishaoran Wow... We don't know the bridesmaid's medical history or her actual weight so we don't know if her weight is a genetic thing, related to an illness, or is circumstantial. We also don't know if she wants to lose weight and that should be a personal choice. Saying that someone can't be beautiful if they are overweight is a disgusting opinion, fat does not equate to ugly. Your comment comes off as very fatphobic which is not cool.
@deadlishaoran
@deadlishaoran Год назад
@@GoldDragonJewelry fatphobic means having repulsion towards the fat people. I don't see a problem with being fat, but I do have an issue with someone that doesn't wanna improve their life. If a person doesn't have a physical condition, then what's stopping them from being overweight? In the same sense a drug addict doesn't wanna leave the drugs, why is an overweight person not doing diet and workout? Someone with that kind of mentality will inevitably turn into a toxic relationship since there's a psychological problem inside and it's not getting treated. The body positivity movement started with accepting your body as it is, when having deformities, albinism, being amputee or something. Then the fat people hijacked it to "accepting themselves" being fat, having morbid obesity. I won't ever enable toxic behavior.

That being said, OP went off the deep end a bit, she had a major disassociation episode where she didn't feel like anything was real, and admits when she looked at her husband's affair baby she would resent it to the point she thought about ... well, doing harm to him. OP's husband picked up on it, though, and took on 100% of the childcare, moreso because he doesn't trust OP anymore (ironic, isn't it?). Finally, OP is better and she left in the middle of the night while husband was at bible study, changed her phone number, and took all her money with her. She left divorce papers underneath cheater's pillow and called it a Tooth Fairy gift for a-holes.

That one about the bridesmaid reminds me of my mother. My mother is the sweetest person, I have literally watched her give the clothes off her back (it was a jacket, she wasn't publically indecent) to help someone, yet my mother is permanently disabled due to cancer along with having a disabled daughter (me). Time and time again I have seen people treat my mother as an afterthought whenever anything good happens or when my mother herself needs help, yet come to her first when they need help. It angers me so much and I wish I could do more for my mother because she is so sweet, and I know if anyone invited her to be a bridesmaid she'd automatically assume it's out of kindness rather than because they actually want her there. Heck, my mother has been asked to make clothes/jewellery for a wedding and then wasn't invited THREE TIMES. I hope Amy has a continued friendship with OP as OP also sounds like a good person. As someone who also was married into the church, very young, let me tell you I am now in my mid 40s and the best thing I ever did when my husband was abusive and told me to serve him when he was being ungodly was to run like the wind. I have never regretted leaving him ever. Not once he had money and affluence he was also a pastor or supposed to be in our church, I am glad every day that I am not with him. No, my life hasn’t been easy, but he has been more happy and joyful than I ever was living the life I lived with him, feeling the way I felt, trapped, alone, being spewed, lies to day after day not only from him, but from the church as well. I still believe there’s a God, but that’s not the God I believe in. I don’t believe that you should control your wife or treat her like property. You are your own person? You deserve happiness, and to be treated with love and kindness, none of which you have described in that story. This is his cross to bear not yours.

Having unknowingly been the "other woman" a couple of times, (I was dumb and young and naive) I can only say that your brain doesn't always work logically. The second one I bailed IMMEDIATELY after finding out. The first guy.... well, I was fresh out of a childish marriage with the only guy I'd ever been with, was very young and I thought he meant it when he said he loved me too much and that he was leaving her. I know now that I was selfish and dumb. But my brain, heart and soul just wanted so desperately to believe that he loved me. I literally couldn't see the red flags. See, through rose-colored glasses, red flags are just flags. I understand having little to no sympathy for "other women" in affairs. I didn't either. I also used to see them on TV shows or in books and think, "OMG how stupid do you have to be?!? I'll NEVER be that dumb." And yet... But yeah, I'm a cautionary tale. Don't be me. Lol Also, a phrase I like for the ones who do get them to leave their wives and marry them: 'A man who marries his mistress has a new job opening to fill.' Sorry for the babble, just wanted to share my story of idiocy. Cheaters can be slick. If their lines and tricks never worked, they wouldn't be cheaters. @@xeno6773 no worries! If you haven't ever experienced it then you couldn't possibly know. I didn't either before it happened! But I have experience from both sides of that horrible coin. The cheater breaks those and hurts so many ppl. 💔 I'm just here bringing a different perspective, not chastising or anything! Also, maybe helping someone reading these comments to make that hard choice. The one to end, or not even begin, a hurtful relationship with someone already involved. It so very rarely ends well.
