Guardian is my favorite as well. I can't stand heretic though...

I feel Longshore is the most underrated map in Halo. I think it is one of the best CTF maps ever created. I love to rush Invis and sneak into the enemy base to open the bridge. I love Standoff but never played 4v4 which does sound terrible. Not sure if I would say Valhalla is my favorite map but feel it may be the best. I am very biased towards btb maps as I almost exclusively played btb since being online.

I’m surprised you didn’t also mention on Orbital how completely unbalanced the power weapon spawns are. It’s way too easy for team on the side where they spawn to just grab the Rocket Launcher and take a quick hop over to the Sniper Rifle. I don’t know what they were thinking making a map like that and only having power weapons on one side.

Snowbound should be way higher its an instant classic

Bro, at 12:03 is what i miss about halo. Dude jumps as he gets hit by final headshot and goes limp while keeping initial momentum, then into the wall lol!

I've never once played Orbital on MCC. Guess that's a good thing

Some things I agree with, sometimes I don’t, but overall a good video. Maybe you could also rank other Halo games’ maps as well.

Your worst maps are pretty accurate (except Isolation and Snowbound are totally worse than Orbital), but damn, I can't believe you put Cold Storage so low.

dang i still remember so many battles ive had on certain areas of these maps that i havent thought of in a long time. Halo 2-3 still stand as the games ive had the most fun in and ive played a ton of games since then

Nice list. Avalanche should have had Elephants to provide more cover in different parts of the map

Top 5 Best: Guardian, Pit, Citadel, Foundry, and Narrows. Top 5 Worst: Heretic, Assembly, Orbital, Cold Storage, and Snowbound.

Guardian is also my favorite map. It's psuedo-symmetrical and perfect for ricocheting 'nades.

I was going to say Sandbox was my favorite map until I heard your reasoning for why you didn't put it on the list. I think my favorite default map overall might be Highground. I miss playing Jaws out in the water :(

I fell like every game dev is at least having some issue getting their games out in a good state during the corona period. Thats why im not too mad at 343, its a nightmare doing anything other than games on teams or discord.

I dont think I would've been a big fan of Halo 3 due to a lack of BTB maps. Arena is cool but BTB CTF is what makes Halo. Bungie only launched with 3 BTB maps and 2 of them were remakes. Even with the charged DLC, Halo CE still has more BTB maps.

@Arrrash. When halo 3 came out i remember create a mod pretty much like you describe. It was a long ago but It was on sandtrap, infected player was at about 300% speed + hammer and a bit weaken "maybe" And normal player at about +/- 200% speed with normal loadout.so on foot you are prrtty much dead. And on vehicule you are a bit slower. You spawn next to some warthog. A tone of fun. I remember the feeling when the infected flip your warthog with the hammer. You were in real trouble I don't remember copycat this mod. A coincidence this mod is so similar??? I don't think so. Maybe my mod. Haha.

yes standoff ctf, good times. i played btb on it just recently and it was terrible. i put the blame on matchmaking due to population. mcc on xbox is meh. needs a map voting system too. im playing the worse maps over and over.

Am I the only one who really likes Assembly? I know it could play better, but I just love playing it for some reason. Maybe I'm just mesmerized by the aesthetic, but I just find the map so damn cool and unique. Maybe the map could've been bigger or something, but I love the close quarters/being able to evade from low to high ground with neat little platforms/ledges. I feel like Assembly never reached its full potential, but I still just really like it for some reason. On another note, I completely agree with you on Snowbound. Never understood the fascination some people had with that map (and I'm a sniper)
