Lol I worked at kfc for like five years, and I never liked the mac and cheese and was always surprised when people ordered it...

Considering KFC Coleslaw should also be sent to a lab as I don't even know what that is, and most of their other sides are also questionable, it doesn't surprise me in the least that their mac and cheese is awful too.

Lol they asked me what side a week ago I said Mac n cheese cuz I assumed maybe I got fries and a side but nope no fries not even pity fries. The Mac and cheese was fine, Obv not the best but alright in the cosmic scale of food. Which side point they say any pizza is good pizza but I think Mac and cheese is even harder to make truly bad lol.

Can concur, as a someone who grew up in WI but still claims her birth state of Texas, Macs is better than Panera and Chick Fil A. They def need to move south. And Whataburger needs to move north.

Super old comment but I actually disagree. Matt's hilarious on his own with minimal added effects and I find a lot of the extras kind of distracting.

I'm not sure of too many fast food places that do regular fried fish as a menu item. Captain D's and Long John Silvers are the only ones that spring to mind (and of those two I can express a STRONG preference for Captain D's).

My daughter used to love Panera’s but they changed the recipe and now she hates it

I think they're just different experiences. Probably hard to judge them against each other. I want baked mac and creamy mac in different situations. Baked mac with all the Thanksgiving stuff like greens and ham, and creamy mac in a bowl on a Wednesday.

I have never been to Popeye's before. There is one in my hometown and 8 Chick-fil-a's in my hometown. And the Popeye's is 20 minutes from my home. And the closest Chick-fil-a is 3 minutes from my home.

Popeye's is better though 🤷‍♀️

Popeyes has, overall, the best fast food in the industry. And, hands down, the worst customer service.

In the 1960's, you had KFC get franchised by John Y. Brown. Jerricho had a chain of restaurants similar to Frisch's, stayed around into the early 1980's. A few are still around, independently owned and still popular with the locals where they exist. Jerricho tried to diversify and started Long John Silver's. It was modeled after "Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips," who was an actor. He was the bobby in "Mary Poppins." Treacher's didn't last long, but LJS took off and quickly dwarfed the Jerry's segment of the business, leading to Jerry's mostly going away. In the 1980's or 1990's (I think the 90's), Yum Brands bought LJS. I don't know if they bought just that business segment, or all of Jerrico a d then dumped the Jerry's Restaurants. Yum Brands also bought KFC and a struggling A&W Root Beer. They gave them all what is, IMO, a sterile corporate personality and menus with no actual taste, except for maybe the fried fish. Such is homogenization, exported across the world.

Panera's is amazing! I think it's MUCH better than CFA, but that's because I can't deal with the crunchy layer on top of any macaroni. Even when I peel it off, I love the texture but my taste buds are already upset. I'm weird. I know people love CFA's and I understand why. It's just my opinion Please try Panera. I get the macaroni with the chicken noodle soup and live like a mature child.

Skyline at least the frozen container kind is gross, would rather eat Hormel.

I'm from Cincinnati, home of skyline chili, and I love that I can buy cans and frozen containers of it down here.

Almost all fast food mac and cheese is premade, including Chick-Fil-A's. Theirs still comes premade in a bag, they just put it into a tray and sprinkle extra cheese on top and bake it really quick. But the actual mac and cheese is still premade.

I literally thru mine in the garbage after one bite when I tried it a month ago. It was horrible

I used rotini a while ago because I was out of elbow macaroni. All those ridges hold a lot of cheese sauce.

Panera man and cheese is pretty … soupy might not be the right word, but there’s enough sauce in there to need something to sop it up with. One of my nephews loves it for that reason.
