The fact that they all have a distinctively different delivery and sound, yet they blend perfectly is a true testament to their bond through vocal abilities. True sisters. Labelle is beyond underrated!!!

@@loulou8944 I just found out she passed! Sarah was no joke. What I loved about their harmonies is that you can hear each one of them. The Nona was great too. But Sarah just does something to me.
I was at that concert also with Nona getting the wrapped brick. Tower theater and still remember all the whistles in the audience. Best concert ever. They started this song on a seated on a riser behind a shim screen and finished on stage. Pure magic that night.
Robert Nieves you had to truly live this like I did Patti and the blue bells all the time it was Nona who was the writer of the songs let's reconize genius behind this group .

@@lauramorgan2928 Maybe vocally but commercially, The Emotions were more successful by far. I would even say that EnVogue was a better female group than Labelle. I don't let nostalgia persuade my rationale.

It's not tht patti outshines nona nd sarah it's tht together they were a powerful trio together their sound was all their own. They were soul personafied at a time when blkfolks was ashamed of their god given blkness..

Management these were the good old days, l'm from Philly coming out of high school in 1973 wow my friends and I use to go all over to see them in concert never did they disappoint. Music and concerts aren't like this any more happy that I came up in this time & era.
The Supremes could have really had their own brand of harmony. It was evident on two of my favorite live albums by them, LIVE AT THE COPA and LONDON'S TALK OF THE TOWN, but due to division and ruthlessness, it killed in actually what really and truly could've been.

patti always sang in her lower register back then; if you didn't know her you've never thought she could hit all those "Patti-sonic" notes she's so capable of doing like no one else can.
