Greetings from Germany, where even the installation of a turn signal requires technical acceptance and you have to subject your car to a technical inspection every 2 years. I'm a big fan of classic American cars and especially the cars that are not perfect down to the last screw. Crank it up!
Hell yes! This is by far my favorite content on the tube. I hope you do some videos like the one Mike Musto did on the cuda on some of the Ratty Muscle Cars You have access too. If you took friend and gave us some story on them, backstory on his car, how and where they found it, how long ago, how long it had been abandoned, while giving us a look at it and have them wheel it, tell us what the specs are on the build, what times it has run and how they use it ( daily driver, shows, weekends, drags, cruising????) Think you would knock it out of the park. Idea for those if you decide too call them Ratty Muscle Car Chronicles volume 1, the. Volume 2 for the next show, volume 3, hope you have content often Thank You.
So it took Uncle Tony to get your ass outta' retirement?? The world needs more ratty muscle cars!! SERIOUSLY! Good to see you are back ill send pics of my new project.. a 72 torino on 5 slots I scored from my un-appreciative nephiew...
That's my boy responsible for making me go from show cars to bringing home my 71 340 4 speed duster from Tennessee to Wisconsin left her how found except entirely fresh drivetrain and I beat the dog out of it with a smile on
Nothing wrong with ratty muscle cars, these were around since the 1980's.. Guys would buy a total beat on beater fix it mechanically and drive it,slowly restore the body.....was easier back then though to fix interior as you went to the junk yard but anyways...Myself I painted cars since a teen so I always had pretty slick looking cars I didn't rebuild engines but then my Uncle and Dads buddies did and my Dad did a few(one day I will..I am not inept to do it).. Today my buddy does my engines as my Dad and his buddies are 80 year olds and still driving their old muscle cars etc...My Dad has his '70 Cuda 440 6bbl he owned since July 1970,was brand new/well a dealer demo with under 1000 miles.. Primer and dents were normal to see at the illegal drags on the street and cruising around the streets looking for girls and races, nobody thought anything negative about it..They just asked what engine you got/whats done to it and what color you painting it and when the cool! People looked at a primered 71 Cuda,69 Charger and said awesome car as they did with freshly painted or mint condition ones! Just glad people get these old cars on the road, why wait for the cash to nut&bolt restore it..get it running kill the rust on it and drive it until you got cash to paint it..Hel many cheap places to get your ride painted for under $1000 then you can wet sand it yourself to a mirror shine and finish..people dont know this! I can shoot cars that are prepped already without wet sanding afterwards pretty cheap and I do for many people, they then wet sand it and put it back together,or put the trim/bumpers on etc..You dont need a $10,000 paint job!
Love seeing all the early 70's Dodge Darts at the events, being a Dart owner (72) I often feel like my car is the red headed step child of the Mopar family.
