Thank you! I played Rayman Origins like, waaaaaaay back when it was first released. It was one of the only games I actually had as a kid, playing it on the Nintendo Wii. I could never afford the Wii-U and was never able to play Legends. I'm glad to hear that it's about as good as the original. AND, I am so happy to hear you talk about this absolute master piece. I'm always telling people I talk to online about what they would like for a platformer. They usually bring up something like Ori, Hollow Night, Celeste, or something similar. It makes me kind of sad that this diamond-in-the-rough game that gave me such joy as a kid (and even now, still) be forgotten and disregarded. I am subscribing to you for the shier good taste that you have. ;) Hope to hear more recommendations from you some time.

Literally better then Mario. I'm not even exaggerating. After playing origins and legends I don't think I've ever played any Mario platformer that reaches its peak.

I dunno. Gameplay looks a lot less exciting than Mario. ...If Super Mario 3 or Super Mario World were to be remade; now that would be exciting

@@Hume108 id strongly recommend you play these games. Only Mario games I'd say is better than these Rayman games are the galaxy games and those are 3D. Mario 3 imo is very nostalgia driven. It was amazing for when it came out but I don't think it's as amazing now. Super Mario world though I'd say is still the best hardcore 2D Mario game given its rich amount of tech you can do in that game showcased in the star worlds. But imo it's not as fun as origins and legends. The old fashioned mechanics like lives and that it's single player puts it down imo. While origins is the more hardcore game Legends is the more accessible one for a variety of player skills.

I saw that I owned this on ps4, and have no memory of buying it. Was going to 100% complete it, but just saw it has online trophies. I am guessing the online servers are shut down... Still, going to watch this video while it downloads and give it a try! Never played a Rayman game before, and it looks really fun. Really enjoying this review!

I finished rayman 2 and rayman 3 and I enjoyed them, but rayman legends and origins are some of the best 2d platformers ever made so they're my favorites.

I discovered it when I played the demo (of a music level) on the Switch and I instantly bought the game. I've played quite a few platform games, both 2D and 3D and dare I say it: this is the best 2D platformer ever. Especially the music levels are so much fun it's ridiculous. Too bad Ubisoft has buried this IP because there's so much potential with the newer generation of consoles.

I have a question. Regarding to the PC version, Do they force you to download the Ubisoft launcher first in order to play the game, like on other ubisoft games? I very bad wanted to play this, although I think it sucks that I have to have a completely new launcher to play it, even when buying it from Steam.

Ive played this game 4 times, once on wii u, on pc, psvita, and switch. On one hand, I hate the murphy sections on console (vita and wii u excluded) but on the other hand, i bought and completed this game 4 times. Its that good.

Hi there! Just downloaded Rayman Legends on the ps4 as I was looking for something to play with my son. Any ideas how to drop in the second character? I'm pressing the ps4 button on the second controller but its just letting me swap between controllers rather then actually adding a second character.

I just downloaded this game from PS+ extra on my PS4 Slim and I think it is awesome and pretty fun. This is my first time playing a Rayman game and I find it to be fun and funny cause of the way you can kill enemies.

Great video, it was seriously good, but I think that you should include some community achivments. players like Narmaxy, Bapa, wmiacuwfIDs, PiedCoureur, Bugs0987, or Enigma rlly pushed the limits of the game.

Good to see appreciation for Legends. After all it's the last Rayman game we got before the series died. Rayman's creator's leave from the game's industry, the Montpellier studios neverending work on BG&E 2 and Ubisoft's failure to assign another team to take a grasp of Rayman during the two years of Ancel's absence, probably mean that the series' dormant state is probably not going to get any better anytime soon. I've known and played the Rayman series for 20 years, starting with Rayman 2 TGE as an 8 year old kid. I was actually quite critical of Legends when it was announced and after release. Starting with my disappointment for not being a 3D platformer similar to 2 and 3 and being a Wii U exclusive (before knowing it was going multiplatform). When I got to play the game, there was quite a few things I had problems with. I felt that there was an imbalance between core content and extra content, too few original new levels, while the devs had put lots of their work on side stuff (online challenges, kung foot, Origins levels). I also disliked how the game failed to take notes from Origins, by abandoning the fun Moskito levels and the previous game's big focus on boss fights. The lack of enemy bubblization and the level's overall low difficulty compared to other Rayman games, gave me the impression that the devs wanted to streamline the levels. Also the lack of story bothered me, having hoped the game to return to the storytelling of Rayman 2 and 3. Despite retaining some of my criticism, I've come to appreciate Legends more with the years. While there weren't many original new levels, they were well designed. The game's graphics and music were also great. For the highlights the game had to offer, I really want to replay it someday. Haven't touched in it for years, because the game's version of my preference is still tied to that awful Uplay program/store/launcher. It would be about time Ubi allowed for a DRM free version, as the game is almost a decade old.

I was going for 100 percent completion with this game. I did everything there was to do and then I got to the Murfy's touch levels. I encountered a level where I couldn't get Rayman to move no matter how much I tilted the switch so I had no choice but to give up. I would have given this game a 10/10 but the Murfy's touch levels bring it down to a 7/10.
