My only Press since the early 70’s my uncle used the Rockchucker and that’s what I bought as a teenager now 45 years later still reloading on the same Rockchucker Press .
When you buy the press, not the kit, what all comes with the press, and i'm asking for stuff like the bolts the you use to mount the press and the on press priming system, etc.
khaair 7684 I just got this press for Christmas. It comes with the press, a hand primer tool, a round primer case(that attaches to the hand primer tool), a set of scales, a powder throw, a case holder block, a chamfer tool(for deburring the necks of your cases), 2 primer hole brushes, a Nosler reloading guide 8, a lube pad, and a bottle of lube, and a set of Allen wrenches. I does NOT come with mounting bolts, dies, a case trimmer(you could use the deburring tool, but it will be slow that way), or a shell holder. Just go to your local hardware store, and buy the bolts that you need for mounting. The mounting slots are for 3/8" bolts, but the length of them will depend on how thick your mounting surface is. This is a VERY heavy built press, with a smooth, effortless camming action. 3 times better than a Lee classic. Any other questions about it? I'll try to answer them for you.
what will cause bullets not to measure all the same , i have to measure each bullet i make as some are not seated far enough and others are too deep. i then got custom seaters from RCBS and still have the same problem.
the bullet tips are not completely uniform. measuring from base to tip will give more variation in measurements. Try using a comparator with your caliper to measure from base to bullet ogive for a more reliable measurement.
Handling primers and inserting them into the press with your bare hands? Not how I was taught to reload or handle primers. Primers are supposed to be handled in a STERILE, DIRT, LINT, DUST, AND (hand) OIL FREE manner!!
100% correct. It is difficult to believe that a factory representative of a major reloading supply company would even suggest handling a primer in this manner. Total amatuer hour.
Because it's built at least 3 times better than a Lee. That's why. Very heavy duty, and a very smooth, effortless cam system. Go watch the guy on RU-vid that compares 14 different presses. The accuracy of this press is on par with the most expensive German presses in the World. He clearly demonstrates this. Check it out!
