Paranormal Activity 5: The Marked Ones. A lot of people think it's bad because it's not really scary. But it's such an interesting idea for a story. You just never know where it's gonna go.

I feel like what makes this movie good and an effective horror film is the fact that it doesn't just rely on lame jump scares and tropes. It subverts your expectations and the scares are actually frightening and pretty well done. Also props to the boyfriend haha. Glad they didn't decide to kill him.

Brad is a boyfriend legend 😆. The that was so wrong mentality he had was the best. Dude got close-lined by a linebacker. I would have freaked out because I did not sign up for it ahaha but most guys wanna be the hero and they'd go in and get killed. I like that they used an old not so used concept of poltergeist manifesting through depression and I'm sure the meds didn't help it. Recommend: Darkness 2002. Darkness Falls 2003. And The Shallows because sharks are horrible

Creep (2014) is one of the best found footage films and it feels actually authentic. Unlike a lot of other found footage films, the events in Creep feel like they can really happen.

I really recommend The Uninvited (2009) 😊 It’s a beautiful haunting thriller/mystery film and one of the most shocking movies I’ve seen! 🙂 I really want to see your analyses! Other great thriller mystery movies I recommend are Mama (2013), Visit (2016, and Devil (2010), among other Halloween favorites :) I’m so happy you guys saw Paranorman btw!

This is a 1/1000 occurrence, but I actually ended up liking The Uninvited more for several reasons. 1) More positive reaction/feedback showing friends both, 2) The Uninvited has a very well-contained story in that everything has an answer and everything is explainable in the end, whereas A Tale of Two Sisters still has unexplainable questions and moments and still some answers are vague/not answered; some movies you might like openended answers but in this case it feels 100% better knowing the truth after a huge payoff 3) The Uninvited has beautiful music and imagery and the lakeside house is magnificent for a main setting. Though I must say A Tale of Two Sisters DOES have one of my favorite tunes and songs from a “horror” movie ever 😊😊 so I give them both equality in beauty 4) Both are very strong in actors. They do amazing in choosing great casts for both films. 5) Though the Uninvited is an “adaption”, they’re so different (about 80% different) so it’s really hard to say they’re the same film sometimes

I liked this movie, because it actually made me jump. It’s a great concept. Might have needed a bit more of the back story as to being in the basement with their mother since when? Maybe it was Diana, who was always the cause of mother’s mental health? In which case it wasn’t depression, Diana was always there since childhood….Probably used the kids as a weapon against her all this time to control the mum. It was short and well done. May have mentioned this before, but my guilty pleasures are ‘1408, Identity (both with John Cusack and one of them is more of a psychological thriller), Dog Soldiers (British), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Jessica Biel version 2003) she’s brilliant! Don’t Breathe, The invitation 2022… a few. I could go on but I won’t 🤪

I saw this in theaters and I just remember it terrifying me to my core. I think about it too often and it’s still so scary to me. It’s probably the scariest movie I’ve ever seen and I love horror movies. I was petrified to turn the lights off for the longest time. I’m seeing this upload at night so I’m gonna have to wait till tomorrow to watch it otherwise I will NOT be sleeping 😂

My issue with this film was that I went to see it in the cinema due to a very creepy looking trailer, only to find out that all the best scares were in that trailer. Unfortunately none of the rest of the scares were that good in comparison, and meant the film did not offer anything new in that area, which unfortunately left me underwhelmed at the film as a result. Had I not seen that trailer and been hyped by it, it might have been a very different experience for me.

20:01 mum whining about being abandoned by her child doesn't sit well with me. it's like she bore children for the purpose of companionship and not because she wants to love. i'm so lucky my parents are so selfless and just wants me and my siblings to be happy and healthy, none of that "you must take care of us when we're old" so of course we will take care of them because we love them for simply purely loving us without any expectation of serving any purpose except to see us live happily.

Event Horizon has to be one of the most eerie horror movies that I’ve seen; leaves a weird chill in my spine every time I see it… If you guys are taking suggestions, would you maybe consider reacting to The Phantom of the Opera at some point? (Both the movie and the 25th anniversary stage performance, as both are markedly different experiences). I’ve not seen anyone react to it, and it’s a shame, as it’s one of the most masterful musicals out there xxx

Funny story: when our son was in the navy, we went to visit at his 1st duty station. We got there early on Friday and he was still working so we killed time going to the mall and decided to see Lights Out. When it got to the part in the sisters apartment, the movie went from red screen to black screen back and forth building the suspense or jump scares we were preparing for. The screen flashed to black and stayed that way. Now everyone was on pins and needles because the theater was pitch black with a loud shhhhhh sound. About a minute goes by and people start whispering and asking each other is this a part of the movie orrrrrrr? Then suddenly a loud boom of thunder clapped and everyone screamed. 😂 Turns out a strong storm rolled in and the power went out… the shhh was rain. Go figure the lights go out during a movie called Lights Out. We were stuck in the hella dark theater after just seeing a scary tension building scene and there was a tornado warning too. Made it 1000x more scary and good lmao FWIW, the power was out like 20-30 minutes and then we watched the rest of the movie. They gave us free passes for another movie too! Obviously didn’t have to since it wasn’t their fault either but it was appreciated.

This is my first time seeing this movie although it's been on my To Watch list for a while. Question: When the daughter Rebecca said at the very end "We're never going away", was that her and Diana talking? Like is it meant to be one of those creepy endings? Or am I just overanalysing lmao

I have such great memories of this movie. My friends and I watched it late at night in the cinema, it scared us well. Then we spent the rest of the night walking around the city, eating sweets and scaring each other, saying that we see glowing eyes in the dark. Once we all really saw them, we were scared to death, but it turned out to be a cat).

I highly recommend The Voices. It's a comedy horror starring Ryan Reynolds. I watch it like a few times a year lol it's quite good imo but not a lotta people have done a reaction of that movie. Maybe you guys wanna give it a shot
