Reaction to VoicePlay - Hide and Seek (Ding Dong!) feat Lauren Paley (acapella) 

I’ve never been so obsessed with a voiceplay song as much as this one

The theme is the Haunted Mansion at Disney World. Characters... Geoff - Caretaker Silas Crump of the graveyard. Layne - Hatbox Ghost holding a hatbox. Cesar - Madame Leota. The first line he says is what she says in the mansion. Lauren - Constance Hathaway/ Bride. Killed all her hubbies. Eli - Alexander Nitrokoff standing on a barrel of dynamite. And standing in front of his portrait.

The charismatic voice also added some backing vocals to the ghost bride which was awesome as well.

I got Geoff and Layne switched, too, until they opened their mouths. And I agree, they just continue to get better, which is hard when they were so great to start with.

Lauren is the queen of singing spooky songs in her apartments stairwell as I'lm sure others haver mentioned. She is also known as the Siren in the Stairwell, Edit: Lauren is amazing at singing in a whispery tone in her stairwell. Edit 2: ye should hurry back

Lauren song this song in the stairwell of her apartment building on tiktok. Voiceplay saw her video and asked if she wanted to do a Halloween video of this song with them. This is the result of her answer.

This is crazy. Geoff makes me think of Dick Van Dyke playing the chimney sweep in Mary Poppins, sort of sinister side. The Charismatic Voice is there too.

Lauren aka The Stairwell Siren did a TikTok version from her stairwell that went viral. VoicePlay contacted her to see if she would do the Halloween song with them. She said yes and Layne flew up to Nashville to record her, then flew back to Orlando in time for Hurricane Ian. It was originally a Korean song but it's been sung in English now more than once. The setting is similar to the Disney Haunted Mansion with it's characters. Elizabeth of The Charismatic Voice does the background ghost voices toward the end.

They fused a creepy song with a Disney "Haunted Mansion" theme (the song is unrelated to the haunted mansion as far as I know) This is FABULOUS!

Lauren has some amazing TikTok content, especially using acoustics in stairwells and such. Such a beautiful voice.

Don’t worry about the makeup confusion. They open a video feed during shoots for some of their patrons, and I had trouble figuring out Layne and Geoff - even close up! Geoff’s hair was hidden and Layne was clean shaven for the first time in awhile. Rick Underwood does a terrific job with their makeup. But when Kathy started gasping when she found out the lantern Geoff was swinging around was an actual candle with flame, we knew the other one had to be Layne.

It's funny you mention about hoping your kids picking up on this song. In Geoff's chat a couple weeks ago he stopped talking and told everyone to listen. His son William was outside his door singing the ding dong part of this. It was so freaking cute. All Geoff could do was smile. After a few minutes he left and Geoff started talking again. Alot of people commented how adorable that was. Geoff said "it is until you hear it for 3 hours straight" 😂. But he giggled about it.

I'm laughing... I made the same mistake, and switched Geoff & Layne at the beginning. As for their makeup/videos etc - It's not just a cappella, I don't know any other band ANYWHERE that is doing video as good as theirs. Period. And a release every month? No one.

This is a take on Disney's Haunted Mansion. At the end of the ride the ghost say"Hurry Baack"! You looked like you were having so much fun!

The whole thing is an homage to the Disney Haunted Mansion. Geoff is portraying the Caretaker. Eli is Alexander Nitrokoff, one of the portraits in the Stretching Room (you can see his portrait behind him). Cesar is fortune teller, Madame Leota, who appears in the Mansion as a ghostly head in a floating crystal ball. Lauren is Constance Hatchaway, the attic bride (she was filmed separately and did her own makeup). Her "hurry back" at the end is part of what a tiny ghostly bride (often called "Little Leota) says as you exit the ride. And Layne is the Hatbox Ghost, whose head disappears from his neck and reappears in the hatbox he's carrying. The bookshelves are a nod to the Mansion's library of ghost stories, all four stretching portraits can be seen to the right, and the portrait in the middle is Master Gracey, the aging portrait from the Mansion's foyer. Also, Elizabeth Zharoff (aka The Charismatic Voice) provided some extra spooky background voices.

When i saw the Promo for this Collab i was absolutely hyped .. I love Lauren i follow her over on TikTok shes known there as the Stairwell Siren . And she sings this Song quite often and i totally fell in Love with it . But you are not alone i switched up Layne and Geoff too :D , but listen and seeing the Video a second Time i got it right .
