Ive dropped so much into my 6.0 im stuck with it for life. Hell of a truck, but couldnt ever sell it. You can always sell yours at this point and not loose your ass on it. I however couldnt and will enjoy the monster that it turned out to be. Hope you enjoy your next project/truck.
Either a stock 6.0 or one with minor mods. If you find a 6.0 that has been truly Bulletproofed by the folks here in Mesa, AZ or a reputable mechanic like Bill Hewitt, then the bulletproofed 6.0 would be the way to go. If it were me, I would call Dana at powerstrokehelp.com and tell him what you are looking for. I've seen some nice stock 6.0's go through their shop and you will get a solid 6.0 engine and a stock truck that you could build and mod the way you wanted. Just my 2 cents.
Ok, I'm tired of everyone talking about how bad 6.0s are. THEY ARE NOT BAD MOTORS. They treat you right if you treat them right. We have a 2004 F350 6.0 with 598k ORIGINAL MILES. It has had NOTHING done to it besides good maintenance. Most of y'all that talk about how bad they are never even owned one let alone rode in one.
Pickle Rick lmao I'm in a 6.0 page on Facebook and on the daily at least 20 people post about problems they are having. So yeah they are kinda trash. Although they are a lot better than the 6.4, the 6.4 was the worst diesel ever put in a pick up.
I got a stock 6.0 with 87,000 miles. It had a lift and tires, but other than that it's stock! I'd go stock and build it! But no matter what you get or do your boys will still love ya! Lol. Good luck brother

Beautiful truck, I have one with same color except 4 door, same headlights, lots of upgrades, but if you go with other than a 6.0 I will not follow you, enjoyed your truck just like mine, not a threat just enjoyed what you have done and accomplished, sweet truck and I hope you keep it, good luck! We will see what happens, that's what attracted me to your vids, looking into some other tunes, would love to hear from you about that, I have sct live wire ts, shifts hard as hell, need something a little smoother? Good vid get a 05 07 6.0 crew cab short bed there great. I have a 05 6.0 so much more room, a king ranch would be really nice. Start fresh with a stock one too.

I'd say get a new 6.0 while you the truck body is still good, if you stay with powerstroke it would be cool seeing a nice 7.3 but a bulletproof 6.0 is just as good and sounds amazing..so what I would do is to try to find a stock crew can 6.0, and try to find it bulletpoofed..if not find a bone stock one.. and maybe try out dual 7-8 inch stacks
If u do and get a 2000 Ford F-350 7.3L powerstroke SRW long bed with a crew cab and lift kit of 6 inches and those same tires from the 6.0 with tow mirrors and in black
keep it and fix the few things that bother you. but if you feel like you must get rid of it. get another 6.0 bone stock and build it. definitely keep the channel
Jeremy Knauer damn right they are! My 03 6.0 is stock other then a cat and muffler delete and she sounds mean. I have 256,450 original miles on it and it has treated me good.
His truck was getting no air. Likely the unison ring was stuck in the turbo or it wasn't clocked correctly. The thing made boost like mad, turbo was spinning max speed off idle so it felt great pulling away from a stop sign but had no guts at highway speed or under a heavy load like a dyno brake loading the engine. Should have been obvious to the guys running the dyno by just listening to it and feeling what it was doing. His turbo was basically stuck in tiny turbo mode all the time.
