I became disabled due to an accident some years ago, and subsequently filed a lawsuit. My first attorney reminds me of this one. When my accident occurred, I was a young mom with 3 young children and a full time career. My injuries were devastating, which I still struggle with today. To have to deal with an incompetent lawyer who didn’t believe me, or believe in my case, made everything worse. Luckily, I found another attorney who ended up being a godsend. He was open, honest, intelligent, and most of all, treated me with dignity and compassion. He went to all of my Drs appointments with me, let me cry & vent, answered all of my questions, explained everything that was going to happen, prepared & prepped me for trial; he fought hard for me and my family, and I will be forever grateful to him and his associates. We actually became very good friends. I found your channel during the Depp/Heard trial, and immediately thought how much you remind me of him. You definitely have the same qualities, which not only makes you a great attorney, but also a great human being. Your clients are very lucky!

It helps to cooperate with your lawyer, but in the other hand the sqeaky wheel gets the grease, so who knows? Victims WAIT YEARS for a trial, no info, no rights to speak up. How can some people buy her bs, against many lawyers? It could just be her strategy maybe, for mistrial. Let her deal with it. She's another Darell Brooks : she thinks she's a PERFECT and super intelligent person and the poor victim of the system... NOT intentional, but her awful crime is on camera! She should be happy with 2nd degree murder instead of wasting everyone's time. If you don't want to face this kind of situation, don't kill anyone (filming, saying fu, deleting the videos, calling your ex instead of 911, faking cpr, drinking, also putting your son in a suitcase, annoying your neighbors, etc, etc...). I realize everyone is all sad for Sarah right now BUT... y'all need to remember that she had a kick all pro bono lawyer she ran off. I commented this on another video so we're all clear: "So, I went through all the docket events for this case. She had a PD(1) who was withdrawn because a private lawyer was added pro bono. Mauricio Padilla out of MIAMI. He did most of the work on this case until April of 2022. In his motion he cited an adversarial relationship between him and Sarah. PD(2) withdrew because of a conflict of interest, PD(3) withdrew because he represented a witness in this case, PD(4) withdrew citing a conflict also, and NOW she has PD(5) who is Frank Bankowitz who was appointed in July." Bankowitz should be responding to Sarah but there IS SOMETHING HAPPENING that's making all these lawyers turn away from her. IDK if it's Sarah or if something else is going on but it's interesting. I've been in the EXACT system Sarah is in. That system was very VERY good to me. SO GOOD TO ME in fact I had to convince a judge to send me to prison for a year. I was addicted to opiates and the only way for me to get clean and stay clean was to be stripped of my own choices. Lowell wasn't so great, but I digress. It's not my experience or the experience of many friends to be completely ignored by counsel. In fact the PDs usually show up at the jail and spend the day talking to inmates. Bankowitz's office isn't that far. All I do know is that I don't think this trial is going to happen when everyone thinks it will.

Not all accused sit in jail till trial. It depends on proof of evidence compiled against her!!! I don't believe that the attorney doesn't want to take the case he's made to take the case!!?? If she's so intelligent let her defend herself. She's on lawyer number 6 what does that tell you?? Put on your defense lawyer shoes and go down there find out why nobody wants to deal with her. She's guilty as H . He's a cruel and vindictive person Looney tunes.

I feel bad for SB. No matter what she said in her interrogation she still deserves better than what she’s getting. It has to be maddening to be in jail and unable to work on a proper defense.
@SylD0611
@SylD0611 Год назад
Victims wait YEARS for a trial, no info, no rights to speak up. How can people buy her bs? Let her deal with it. She's another Darell Brooks : she thinks she's a perfect person and the poor victim of the bad system... NOT intentional, but her awful crime is on camera! She should be happy with 2nd degree murder instead of wasting everyone's time with a trial.

I would feel bad for SB if I believed what she was putting out in this letter. Even if there is some truth to her winging, the lawyer needs to know his law and how to navigate court procedure. He is not Sarah Boone's babysitter and personal assistant.

Yes... I suppose it's not completely unbelievable that this could happen, but I would like to hear from the other side to get some perspective. If this is true, I would personally feel that after all that time of reaching out to my lawyer and not getting any type of response from him, I would (1) see if I can get a new lawyer assigned to me, if that’s even allowed, and (2) if not, I would be very nervous and skeptical about him defending me. He isn’t doing what he is supposed to be doing on my behalf. Thank you Peter for covering this and I hope we reach our goal so that you’ll attend some of the hearings!

I agree with your Peter! Our system needs to do better. Of course I’m not saying she is innocent but how will we ever know of her case keeps slipping through. Now I am to wonder if that’s why we have some inmates who are innocent but could never prove it until years later due to attorneys not caring enough about their job. Thank you for educating us in what how our system needs to properly work for everyone.

She's been sitting in county jail for three years in February. Darrell Brooks went to trial in less than 12 months. Almost no chance her attorney is going to get the message and address her case properly given he's been ignoring obvious red flags that she's a bar complaint about to happen as well as ineffective assistance of counsel. I have no idea how she has been missing pre trials given this is a felony and ususlly the courts require her appearance which suggests the judge has also lost control of the case. She's going to have a good appeal.
