You have my envy for sure! I have the same problem and didn't have all my tools with me. Luckily I had zip ties to tie the awning as best as I could for the drive back home. I'll try your solution!
Thank you so much! This video literally just saved our day allowing us to fix on the fly and drive home. Same exact thing happened as the video and very quick fix thanks to you. Appreciate you posting! #lifesaver
you're welcome, unfortunately for us, it has happened 3 more times. I'm going to have the dealer look into it. that shouldn't happen more than once in my opinion.
Ours stops about a foot and a half out and adjusting the limit switch doesn’t do anything to improve it. Cranking it in manually brings it in but not all the way, about an inch out. Regardless of what I do it stops again in the same spot. Have been in contact with Carefree, hoping they can get me in touch with a tech.
No, I have not had that issue. However, after doing the adjustment I show in the video, I had to do it about 2 or 3 more times before it worked correctly every time.
@@1964cht So I have the adjustment correct for how far the awning comes in. For the out adjustment, do you know if clockwise turns make the awning go out further or if counter clockwise turns makes it go out further? After I adjusted the in setting the out goes out further than it used to allowing the awning to sag.
@@dellparker7686 I would suggest checking out the owners manual for your model. if it's the same brand as mine, the info can be found here. www.carefreeofcolorado.com/rv-products/rv-awnings.html I haven't had to adjust the extension on mine so I don't have any experience with it.
