Remember, Goku meeting someone that looks like him isn't something he sees everyday. So he's obviously gonna be curious to know how he came to be even though he knows he's bad. Secondly your acting as if he never treats black like he's evil even once. Thirdly your kinda being bias at this point since Goku is kinda buddy buddy with Nuova Shenron
You can't cause Vegeta barely had screen time in GT😂😂😂 GT Vegeta literally gets character assassinated through looks and power levels, for your kind info He suggests fusion in DBS manga DBS Vegeta is still clear as for Goku Both versions are spot on in a way The transformation is the difference here largely.
It irritates how in Super they made a fool out of Goku and Vegeta’s characters compared to them in Z. Goku and Vegeta were a million times more wiser and more of martial artist in Z and GT than in Super. All they did in Super was take stereotypes from Goku and Vegeta’s characters like Vegeta being too prideful to fuse or Goku being clueless occasionally and then just amplified those stereotypes to the max. It’s like in Super, Goku is progressing backwards like how in Super Hero he was telling Vegeta how meditating wasn’t training even though Goku has been meditating since he was a child.
@@darthgoji5940 Let's be real. He spent most of GT being dumb, like with Baby, and during the Super 17 arc. While some moments of Vegeta were dumb in Super, he has far more moments that express that maturity.
@@darthgoji5940 lmaoo Gt fanboys only argument when it comes to vegeta is that he wanted to fuse. Gt goku regressed him as a fighting genius and barley develops him In dbs, goku is at the peak of his martial arts genius, and develops in completely new ways like learning about justice and his learning about his parents.
It’s ironic because a lot of us were kids when DBZ was airing. We didn’t need it dumbed down to grasp what was going on and it was more enjoyable because it was more raw. Everything is being dumbed down these days and I’m not just talking about animation. Because of it we have a new generation of over sensitive morons imo.

I must give him a second chance, I'm sure he learned his lesson by now
I mean, Goku giving bad guys chances is kind of his thing. Always has been. That's HOW we got side characters like Vegeta (he was going to destroy the whole planet, and Goku begged Krillin not to stab him with yajirobe's katana telepathically when he couldn't move from kai-o-ken). He's naive enough to believe in swift change of moral compass, but that's his character. He does do what's necessary, but once an opponent is beat, well he wants to fight again someday on better terms :p
One thing that I really think GT did better than Super was their transformations. When I saw the original Super Saiyan God transformation in Battle of Gods, it was interesting in its own way (at least the God power-up wasn't represented by the standard Super Saiyan hairstyle). But when I saw the screenshots of Super Saiyan Blue, I was annoyed because, visually, it was just a recolored Super Saiyan look. I probably wouldn't have minded if those two forms were purely restricted to their movies, but then they're suddenly in the main Dragonball canon in Super. And then Super Saiyan Rose comes along (and is yet another bloody color palate swap). Meanwhile, with GT's Super Saiyan 4... well, it is difficult to know where to begin. Starting with, if you chart the looks of the forms of Super Saiyan 1, then 2, then 3 and finally 4, there's an actual sense of progression, and 4 feels like the absolute final stage - like Goku actually sees the final payoff for the Super Saiyan form. Secondly, the Super Saiyan 4 form itself isn't something as unimaginative as replacing regular Super Saiyan hair with another color and calling it a day. You can see it affect the Saiyan's whole body, mostly covered in red fur (complete with tail), with their normally golden hair back to black, and one change I particularly enjoyed was the Super Saiyan 4 eyes actually gaining uniquely-colored irises (whereas base-Saiyans eyes were always identical, being the same black color) - with Goku getting yellow irises and Vegeta getting cyan. Come to think of it, another thing I really like about GT as opposed to Super was what they did with the whole Dragonballs themselves. In GT, we did get the Black Star Dragonballs (which admittedly weren't great I don't think), but the one thing in their favor is that the cost to use them is too high and ultimately not worth it in the long run, so I can see why people wouldn't think to use those earlier in the series (especially around the Cell saga when Kami fuses with Piccolo and in so doing renders the normal Dragonballs inert). But what I really like was what the series introduced with the Dragonballs as a concept in itself: that every time a wish is made, negative energy builds up inside the Dragonballs themselves, and the balls are scattered so that the negative energy can seep out harmlessly over the next century. But now, with the Dragon Radar and the repeated use of the Dragonballs throughout original Dragon Ball and Z (essentially making at least 10 wishes over the course of what is likely half a century, meaning the original wish's negative energy would only have half-dissipated), the buildup has increased to the point where the Dragonballs crack and everything goes haywire, with galactic extinction being a very real possibility. As for why I really like it, I think TeamFourStar made the best analogy, with one character in DBZ Abridged referring to the Dragonballs as "the reset button", showing that the main characters had essentially taken the power of the Dragonballs for granted, and the whole negative energy/Shadow Dragons problem was a massive rude awakening for everyone. Meanwhile, Super just has planet-sized Dragonballs. Sure, they are supposedly the first set of Dragonballs ever created, and by a specific God no less. Aaand... what else? Granted I haven't actually watched Super (the unimaginative SSG transformations alone were too much of a turn-off), but so far, it just feels like the Super Dragonballs made the same mistake as the Black Star Dragonballs in that they tried to scale up the power of the Dragonballs with the new set, but not much else. Hell, with the Black Star Dragonballs, at least there's a definite penalty for using them (they're scattered across the galaxy, and the planet they're used on will explode a year on from making that wish unless the Balls are brought back to the exact spot the wish was made, which isn't a likely possibility normally), so it might be worth considering whether the increased power is worth the immediate high cost of use. But the Super Dragonballs are supremely powerful and grant any wish with no repercussions besides being scattered across different universes? That just screams 'poor writing' to me.
Pretty sure the super dragon balls are only scattered between universe 6 and 7 according to champa during the U6 and U7 tournament Which screams plot convenience
@@hbshadow8981more plot convenience is how often they found the super dragon balls, a kai found it with little to no trouble, first he used them to switch bodies with goku and then again to make his other self immortal, and then universe 6 with champa, who supposedly took quite some time to find it but, zamasu found it easily back to back, and then theres top, which isn’t as bad but like cmon. This is the fourth time they were used without a genuine punishment
the only weird thing is that Goku got pink fur and Vegeta got red fur I thought that was kind of inconsistent unless you take into account that their class is different or that Vegeta has royal blood in him.
@@justaguywithagoodphoto4801 Well the remastered versions don't do it any favors it still looks pink more pink than Vegeta's fur. Also if it's a color saturation problem, why does the color of his eyelids stay consistent as oppose to his fur?
I don't like the idea of DBS changing these characters completely but worse. Vegeta still being arrogant and selfish as he was in Cell saga and Goku being naive and dumb as shit as he was before. GT Goku is more badass and more mature while Vegeta is more of "brother" and way more badass than he is in DBS.
@@carlcarl1397 Vegeta is supposed to be weaker than Goku... Why does fans always wants him to reach or surpass Goku. He is weaker than Gohan, Gotenks & Goku in DBZ. He only has SSJ2 while Goku has SSJ3... why do you want him to be equal when he should be just another side character.
There’s a certain Magic that Dbz had that Super just doesnt. The Animation, the voice acting, And the music is what really made it special. Plus the characters felt cool and relatable
It is honestly frustrating to see goku get captured and grabbed and transform in the last minute when he can do this earlier. Or better yet not dropping his guard.

@@Amazon_DeliveryGuy Toriyama stated that he doesn't like Vegeta. Seeing how the conflicts are written in such a way that either Goku or fusion saves the day, I doubt Vegeta will ever win. Even Future Trunks got the shaft.

I think the problem for DBS is they made pure Saiyans want battle so much as if it's an addiction, in DBZ they did love fighting but they didn't like it at a level where they would risk the earth just for a fight.
Yes! I've been telling my friends this for years but they just say GT isn't Canon so it doesn't matter. GT always had a sense of danger and unpredictability to it while Super is constantly being held down by Beerus/Whis being there. Whenever there is danger in Super, Beerus is a last resort for ice cream or the dragon balls have no limit whatsoever. Not to say I don't like Super, I just think it was sold out for children and lost its core value.
Except Zamasu is the most complex villain we got in DB till date. The violence was toned down from the manga a lot. DBS manga is violent but the anime had to tone it down because to the time schedule.
@@Agent-57 sorry if I'm being rude but can you explain me why people say zamasu is the most complex dragon ball villain? I never saw him as something special
@@Eggs543 He is the only villain who has any actual personality and isn't just evil for the sake of being evil. Zamasu actually made a point and an impact in the story. Gods and Mortals are both flawed. Mortals misuse their potential. While Gods just sit there and watch them do it. Gods are supposed to be involved yet they only interrupt when the matter concerns them. Say for example Shin. He could have saved countless lives from Frieza and saved the mortal level from going low but he didn't. But he did intervene when Buu came. Not just because of Buu's threat but the threat it was targeted on himself by Babidi. Same goes for the destroyers. They do a shit job. That was his initial philosophy. After watching Goku a mortal use God ki he was repulsed. A mortal with more power than the gods is a threat of the gods. He is hypocritical I know. Zamasu just wanted peace but he broke to the point he picked up the philosophy "There will be no conflicts between the mortals if there are no Mortals." In the end he died successful. Zero mortals plan did pass. The timeline that he target was no longer infested with mortals. Zamasu is a interesting character. Unpolished but those who understand him love him.

I agree bro the Characterization of Goku and the rest of the cast in Super seems very hollow although Goku is always focused on getting stronger and fighting strong opponents Goku has also always hated cruelty and used his power to stand up for what’s right because he knew that was his burden that’s the whole reason he wished Buu could’ve been a good person because he wanted fight him but he knew as he was he needed to be put down and the reason why he eventually killed Frieza(at least he thought he did) and yelled at Gohan for not Killing Cell.
This makes me furious. Why couldn’t they leave it alone after GT. Sometimes it’s better for things end sweetly rather than drag them out and become shit
The more I watch Super, the more it infuriates me that Goku doesn’t act like himself. He’s a God now, why couldn’t he sense any energies from his enemies in the Universe Tournament? Even if he did have his guard down, he’d know somebody is there considering the first big enemy of DBZ, Radditz, was sensed from pretty far away. Also, the fact he’s not bothered by the Earth, family, and friends being threatened by death and destruction throughout the entire series, seeing it as some game, doesn’t help the case either. GT, despite its flaws, matured Goku and made him an even better character overall. Super’s been making him some clown with no respect for his loved ones, only caring about fighting and training exclusively.
Doesn’t act like himself? What the flying fuck are you on? Goku has never been himself more than in Super. He’s always been a goofy and friendly guy, but the nonstop fighting he went through in Z made him be serious most of the time. And for that one where you asked why he couldn’t feel ki in the T.O.P, I’m not certain, but it’s probably because so many strong people where fighting that it was hard for him to notice anyone ambushing him.
Super is not Dragon Ball. We all could feel better if we just admit it. It's just a brand. Nothing different by a school bag or a t-shirt with an image of Goku printed on it. It has nothing new to show and it just tries to replicates historical scenes from Z, but in the it's just like the discount version of your favourite chocolate cereals.
Im my opinion,if with the Goku Black saga,he actually turned out to be Goten from the future, but had a better storyline,it would have easily been the best arc of DBS
I like the Zamasu thing, because it is a analogy to eugeny, facism and racism, and how Gowasu represented people that din't supported this, but din't tried to oppose either, and it showed the consequences of not oposing against extremist ideals.

Pfft DBGT is 'real' Dragon Ball It's literal bad fan fiction that y'all just grew up with and can't let go because of nostalgia 🤣 I swear if GT and Super switched places y'all would say the same
When you realize Toriyama said in a interview that Goku wasn't an altogether good person and is driven by his instinctual need to fight strong beings which often leads to greater collateral damage and endangering the planet and innocent people. GT wasn't written by Toriyama which was probably the reason Goku appeared more mature in it. Another possible reason is that early English dubs of Z often portrayed Goku as more heroic than in canon and the GT dub followed suit.
honestly i always tought that this whole "goku isn't a hero" thing is all a bunch of bullshit from Toryiama, just look at goku from classic dragon ball, he liked fighting strong people sure, but as soon as his opponent did some evil stuff he completely stoped caring about them being strong or not, mercenary Tao, the red ribon army, Tamborine, King Piccolo, when fighting all of them Goku's goal was simply to beat and kill them to make them pay for all the suferring they caused to his friends and nothing more, he didn't care about having a "good fight" with them, but then as soon as he trains with Kami and grows up that Goku starts with this trend of being selfish by sparing the bad guys just so he can have a good fight despite all the suferring they caused, its honestly such a irony that after training with God he comes out as a more selfish person than before, and that the two most selfless and heroic versions of goku are the two child versions from classic and Gt rather than the two adult ones from Z and super
@@arthuralexander1449 to be fair, even in Z he wasn't this selfish. Sure, he let beings like Frieza and Vegeta live. But those were like, the only two instances. And they weren't nearly as bad as what he does in super. Buu being a prime example of this. Never once did he want say, Kid buu to live on. Reincarnated into someone good yes, but he wasn't letting him live.
Even if you read the manga and watch the sub DB & DBZ Goku was nothing how he is in Super, he enjoyed fighting but he wasnt borderline retarded as he is in super. Vegeta lived his whole life going by instinct etc like other sayians but he also wasnt stupid as Goku is painted to be. The fact super made goku think meditation was pointless when he did it in both BD and DBZ just shows how super changed Goku. The original goku clearly is the similar character trope of hardheaded anime character that accidently makes a bad situation worse sometimes but then fixes it. GT Goku is a more mature Goku who had spent years being a mentor instead of a fighter so naturally he would display growth from that teacher role. Even with his decision to stay dead was for the grester good realizing that even him just being on earth can lead to trouble. Goku was not the selfish person he is in Super at no point, careless at times but not selfish nor does he believe in killing people which is shown even towards weaker opponents.
Taking a look at dbs dumb enemies like Botamo and then seeing trunks hair being changed and Vegeta and Goku having red and blue and what not hair, show the whole shoe is stupid, rip off of the legacy of DBZ to try sell to the rainbow society kids of today. Dragon ball super is literally a femboys version of DBZ.
I just realized what was the point Of the senzu bean if they fused, wouldn’t Vegito be at full power either way? In fusion reborn they fused while injured and came out as an unscathed Gogeta as well as when they first they fused into Vegito
@🎀ՏᕼIᗰᗩᗰᑌᖇᗩ🎀 only some of this is true Vegito didn’t use ALL of his power for the final kamehameha otherwise he wouldn’t of had the power to than follow up with an instant transmission full power punch. Plus in the manga (yea I know it’s not the same) vegito didn’t even get to fire off the kamehameha, the patara couldn’t handle the sheer force of blue resulting in potara only lasting a few seconds maybe a minute at most, and since there’s a chance that dragon balls new season will continue using the manga as a base this would be pretty relevant. And as for the reason why goku and vegeta were tired after defusing, potara still drains the users since it’s taking it the energy of the users to make the new being. That’s why in dbz they were told not to fuse why in super saiyan cause it will drain there energy twice as fast until they die. Plus they took a full power hit right after defusing. As for gogeta, he was fighting the stronger enemy. Plus with supers scaling, gogeta wouldn’t have been 100s of time stronger than vegito from the future saga so even if he were to hold back, he would still be somewhat at the same energy as vegito from the black arc. Saying gogeta didn’t need to go all out becuase he was fighting broly and not someone like zamasu makes no sense either. Broly at that point would be way stronger than zamasu, and broly potential far surpasses blacks. With no proper training, he managed to surpass suer vegeta, god vegeta, super goku, god goku, blue goku and vegeta. With fusion being the only way to win. A weaker much weaker goku not only managed to drill a whole and push back zamasu attack, he also did lasting damage to a semi immortal being. And as for why gogeta didn’t goku all out against broly is because of what you said, gogeta was strong enough to handle broly no problem. But as the fight went on, we see broly was also getting stronger. Gogeta went from easily handling him in his super for to starting to have some trouble which is when he decided to switch to blue to end it before he could get any stronger. He even decided to kill him with a full power kamehameha before he got saved and wished away. Overall, if goku and vegeta were to potara fuse in the broly movie, with how stronger they are at that point the fusion would have lasted even less time than it did against zamasu while the fusion dance (as far as we know for now) doesn’t have a certain power limit that can be exceeded. Also gogeta and broly were outputting enough energy to shatter reality, and this was before gogeta even went blue, you would think that, that would be enough power to make the fusion dance run out faster
Super lost sense of danger and anything, when the enemy wins and really won when merged zamazu got over the universe ,zeno just came out and destroyed the universe with zamazu, it was the worst ending it could come out from an asspull plot.
Goku in Z and GT: I am a saiyan raised on earth who wants to become the strongest fighter and show justice to evil whenever it needs to be done. Goku in super: I just wanna fight 👶
I've never cared about Super ever since it aired, and since then I've only learned to appreciate GT that much more. Used to not care too much about GT either, with the exception of Shenron Saga, but it's a damn masterpiece compared Super imo. I feel like people mostly just like Super because of the modernized visuals, better choreography, and having a super saiyan form with blue hair. Although, I am slightly biased as Vegeta is my favorite character and they make him the butt of the joke at almost every chance they get. I don't even wanna talk about when Beerus first was introduced.
Goku is mature and db ends like 20 years ago. And ssj4 is the strongest transformation. That is it. Idc what anyone says. Akira making dbs is just cash grab. Simple. I’m done.
GT Goku feels like a natural evolution of Z Goku and as a result is far more likable unlike a certain goku that is dumb irresponsible and battle hungry too much to the point where it becomes annoying after a while and lets not forget the fact that super Goku constantly puts his friends and family in danger for his own benefit Edit: also there’s the fact that GT Goku was willing to leave the people that he loves in order for them to have a better chance of living a peaceful life which is one of the reasons why I actually love GT more than Super
It's cause Toei got the morning slot to air DBS in Japan. If they showed the darkness and violence of the DBS manga in that slot, they'd be in big trouble for it over there. So they made the killing/fighting more kid friendly (which always dulls it down). Also, in DBZ, Goku gets very little screen time. The screen time he is in, there's always a serious crisis going on, and so we always see a more calculating, serious goku. In DBS, there's a lot more down time for the characters to explore more personality traits. In fact, I'd argue that DBS Goku has displayed more of his kid personality from OG Dragon Ball :)
While both gt and super have flaws. Gt is still a lot better, characters were more mature. They didn’t ruin the saiyin history. No tingly feeling . No retarted goku

Now for dbz goku will take dangerous enemy seriously will ask for help when he needed like how he use gohan to fight cell and it because he saw a powerful potential to him and he would not be able to attained that form in time and in the buu saga we know that goku said he could finish fat buu with his super saiyan 3 but he didn't because he know that trunk and goten needed a experience to fight a bad guy and experience to protect the earth and he know that because he will not be there forever so he needed to past the next protector but in dbz goku he will solo it even if it take the world in danger even if he knew the enemy is stronger and not only that he will use that fight to be stronger and master a form *cough* universe tournament arc *cough*

can we take a moment and mourn the loss of pre super vegeta who actually had good chracter devolpment and was compeltely removed in super for a inferior vegeta
The thing Super could have done was to give Vegeta some of the maturity of GT Vegeta. He would have still hated the idea of fusing but he could have been more, "I hate to admit it, but...you're right..." instead of that spoiled brat bit. Super dropped the ball. When there are multiple parts of GT that make Super look ridiculous when GT is the black sheep, you know you screwed up bad. I'm not bashing GT because I do prefer it over Super but GT has its hated parts for a reason by the fanbase.
God that part in the tournament pissed me off when he waited to the last minute to transform…. He could’ve easily went normal super saiyan to get that guy off him. Can we start a petition to reboot dragonball super?
@@Amazon_DeliveryGuy The Theory is that the original DB Goku actually died from the heart virus and when Trunks "Traveled" back in time, it created a completely new universe, a clone of the real Dragonverse, thus as to why Goku started behaving differently than all Goku pre-android saga and the androids behaved completely different. Or the other theory is that Trunks was in fact a dimensional Travelers and not a Time Traveller.
@John Smith when you too become a family man one-day, with a wife, a bratty teenage daughter and a university-graduate for a son, tell me then how well you fair in the more physical area after years of that lifestyle, compared to when you were single without any of those life problems. You're obviously a child or an immature adult with zero clue how adulthood works when you're married with kids.
@@darkchild666100 Facts most of these super fanboys/GT haters always cope hard and always try to twist things around using mental gymnastics to make it seem like they are right but they never are its just delusions at best
Is not only the characters personalities but also the transformations. SSJ4 is superior to SSJ Blue. Blue is just some ki, while SSJB is an entire body transformation where Goku becomes a 8-9 foot tall, his skin becomes so resistant that can endure the heat of the surface of the sun, as well he becomes more aggressive, serious and seems that his IQ increases as well.
Guys the problem is our society is weaker that why DBS feel like a more family friendly cartoon. Liberalism and globalism want to erase the concept of what moral and not. And Dragonball og was all about that. Toei must have just had to obey if they want to still be in the game thats it.
Gt characters don't fall for dumb things like super characters. I believe GT is better than Super because of the art, animation, storyline, and seriousness.
Just think of the possibility of that Graber guy could continued to keep grabbing blue goku for at least 5 seconds more goku and universe 7 would basically lose in the end. And why he didn't try to fight black goku seriously at first I know it's somewhat filler but he should at least go god form you could have him almost kill him but escapes at the end but no stupid super Goku forgetting the evil containment wave seal.
Goku from dbs I'll admit has his MAJOR faults like going all the way back to being a kid from the first dragon ball series but Vegeta I feel like has probably seen the most of his development FROM Z carried onto super, he isn't as arrogant he isn't as self centered and he is shown to care or atleast is showing more that he cares about people, the Manga I feel handles a lot of things better and I it feels better then the anime ngl
This comment section will be a warzone Also U telling me goku, who has trained to be a bootleg god and has a strong base was struggling PHYSICALLY against some rando from U4? Guess it was a good thing i skipped a majority of the early ep of ToP
Yeah gt is cool but it's kinda out of context lol Also, ever realize how super Goku barely cares about the earth? Meanwhile gt Goku had to leave with shenron so the earth is safe. Proof was shown of how old pan was and i didn't see it mention anything about the earth being harmed
The reasoning behind them being different is because GT Goku and Vegeta or years older than super Goku and Vegeta add super they're in their mid-forties where in GT they are in their mid-to-late fifties
The thing is Akira toriyama hated the way the west made Goku. He wanted the stupid battle hungry version. But the west voiced him to be a hero. I hate to say it but for once I liked it when they changed what the creator wanted. I like mature fights for freedom Goku then stupid I want only strong fighters Goku from Super. Hence why I love GT. Also Cannon don't mean jack seeing as Super anime and Manga have a few major differences as well. Therefore making the anime none-cannon for all the so called purest. GT will always hold a special place in my heart.
James Strickland - no man - super is also made by toyotaro and he is doing this bullshit to the characters - he also focus only on two people in the whole series and not all z fighters
@@richblackkid2523 no there was an interview and Akira toriyama stated he didn't like that the west made Goku a righteous hero. He wanted Goku to be kind of selfish and battle hungry. Hence why in Super he is only into strong fights and is an idiot.
@@modest_timing45 The sad thing is he had the ability to write Goku to be a battle junkie and still not be dumber than a sack of potatoes. They just chose not to because they thought it would be funny. Having your main character be dumb and silly for no reason, other than comedy despite previously being written as a serious combat genius is absurd. And is a poor writing decision imo.
5:49 maybe goku anticipated that he would try smth like that so he waited to be pbrought to the edge to get a really easy knock out and to conserve energy
@@khfandbzfan2254 Yeah because Kids these days has more entertainment and less mature... while before everyday you will sit, wait and watch DBaz in your T.V in a specific timeslot While Dragonball Og & Z will be cancel just by Roshi asking for panties, groping or just being a perv in general.
