Whats the difference between Pomme Rosti and Hash Browns? About 10 dollars.

Grating should work sufficiently; the long strands help binding in the pan but grating should work with a little more cooking time in the pan.

that will work. try to make the shreds as long as possible because it helps hold the entire rosti together

I love potatoes so much, I literally want to make this just to eat by itself... when I saw how much butter you put it i got SOOOO happy... YUM

I just made this today! Delish!! I only used 70g of butter and feel i can still reduce as well! Maybe I didn’t get the dark golden color you had because of this or because I don’t have a fan oven. I burned three fingers touching the cast iron right out of the oven!! But completely worth it! I served it with you 75C egg, guacamole and sour cream!

I never seen someone cook rösti like this before, and looks really yummy. My Mum's way is: She cooks the potatoes the day before let them cool overnight, then use a coarse grater and fry in a pan with butter and seasons with knorr seasoning :D

Yes, it will "work" with any varietal but results will reflect the characteristics of that variety. Sweet potatoes will be less crunchy and brown faster so be careful.
