I actually run 100% of these cards in my starke of rath deck! When you're left alone too long the game state gets a little clunky and confusing with all of the checks and persistant effects, but its hilarious to see everyone at the table (myself included) try to decifer what the hell is going on. I go very heavy on enchantments/spells that bring down all players life to keep a good pace, lots of red wheel effects to add a bit more chaos (winds of change being my personal fav), and I run a number of the 'weirder' artifacts to double down on what the insanity that is red enchantments. If you build it wrong (I found this out with my first version of the deck), your play group is not going to want to play against the deck ever again - there's a fine line between controlled, well paced chaos and an absolute headache - build with care, and think about how people will react to these cards before you play em'!

I actually do use Raging River in a deck to effect. Mind you, I'm also the guy who still plays Banding strategies and misses ante. It goes in a Ghen, the Weaver deck, which is really a Killian pocket commander that capitalizes on the fantastic at bad cost target enchantments, sorceries and spells. White and black get him on the table and protect him from removal, and suddenly I have a brutal Voltron. White and red are very good at getting Blade of Selves, which means Raging River is very good at getting the matchups I want to ensure damage triggers. The level of suppressive, recursive enchantment game is staggering; this game is for friends that have lively and adaptive meta.

In my coinflip deck planar chaos made me win. I had made 100k treasures with the coin flip jinn and the coin flip treasure human. 2 of my opponents had answers, but planar chaos counteret 4 spells in a row. I was laughing my ass of. Så on my turn i buffed Okuan and chandras ignitioned him for tons of damg. The most fun i have had in ages. Why, because i sat though 1 hour of gaming and a dude destroying my lands. So i did this with 3 lands in play. 🤩🥳🤪

I love Custody Battle, one of my favorite red "removal" spells. It makes the creature unusable as it gets passed around the table, you could eventually make use of it, or an opponent goes down on some lands to use it. Tis underrated goodness but also good to see it represented here!

A funny red enchantment I found, Land's Edge. It's basically Discard a card: Shock a player or planeswalker if it's a land. Anybody can activate it. Where I think it might be good, a Madness deck. You don't have to discard a land, and it's one of the few cards with "Discard a Card:" as the activation without any other cost or restriction.

Pandemonium was a great card in my norin the wary deck- ping for 8 every round of the table and 9 times outta 10 he cant get hit when opponents trigger the ability, Confusion in the ranks was also fantastic- as norin enters, you swap it for something of an opponents, then when he triggers on the opponents board he returns under your control- rinse and repeat to steal the board

I run some of these in my Kazuul, Tyrant Of The Cliffs deck. I find that a lot of my mono red decks which don't go heavy into goblins, burn spells, or artifacts end up finding their strength in red enchantments like these. For No Quarter, I think the appeal is destroying walls, and protecting big glass cannon creatures. If I send my 5/2 commander in and it gets blocked by a 2/6 defender, my 5/2 becomes a pseudo 5/5 in combat, and my opponents 2/6 creature becomes pseudo a 2/0 until combat is over. Also multi-blocking would just wipe them all out right? so it discourages multi-blocking. I think it has a lot more to it than just destroying little chumps

Total War is one half of War's Toll from Battlebond. War's Toll adds if an opponent would tap a land for mana, (you) tap all their lands. They have to think hard about whether they want to play things onto their board or hold up mana for a counterspell. I love watching Blue players squirm--so satisfying for a Naya player. 😂 I think Heat of Battle would be excellent in Saskia--I'm going to buy one now. Thanks for the heads up on that one!

@@thatguycam1989 depends on what’s coming at me. If it’s big, like a Blightsteel Colossus or Voltron commander, I like Reflect Damage, Backlash, or Delirium. From them all, Pandemonium its the most common to see. I haven seen it more used on suicide Rakdos, particulary in Mogis, and the OG Purphoros decks but it can be used quite well on Ommnath, Locus of Rage. The sheer amount of damage that it can unleash on Omnath its insane, any ramp becomes a lava axe.

Nice job! No Quarter (kills a weaker-powered blocker) goes well with Proud Wildbonder (Creatures you control with trample have “You may have this creature assign its combat damage as though it weren’t blocked.”) because those creatures now deal their full damage, not just the trample part.

You mentioned Norin early on, and my Norin deck runs Pandemonium because I can get that shock-effect pretty much every turn. Run other enchanments and effects which boost my creature's powers, and have similar effects to Pandemonium, such as Impact Tremors, In the Web of War, Vigilante Justice, Purphoros, Where Ancients Tread, Warstorm Surge, Outpost Siege, and Electropotence

I use Heat Wave in my Dune-Brood Nephilim deck. Very effective since I stack my Nephilim with all the evasive gear I can get. So Heat Wave never effects my commander. But the Nephilim continually gets me an army of Sand tokens, which my opponents never want to block OR attack into with Heat Wave out. I'd recommend it for any "Army in a Can" strategy, like Krenko.

No Quarter is a bane to Doran like decks and means autokilling most defenders. This also can squash first/double strike and deathtouch creature strategies. Lastly it maximizes trample damage potential but having 0 toughness to decrease the damage that would trample into the opponent.

Planar chaos is actually really good. Play out your turn then drop this, or play this and go to combat as an added layer of protection. If each player plays 2 spells on their turn, on average 1 will be countered, that's 3 spells countered for 3 mana - a better rate than blue. Then it has the chance to stick around again, but this comes at the downside of countering your own things.
