There's nothing like doing battle with a VP machine for hours and then finally getting that sweet surrender of a hand...even though we experience those "tough sessions" from time to time, it's the good ones that keep us playing

John, I have been keeping a low profile lately. Anyway, I thought I would share my score from my last couple days at the office. I played approx 6160 hands mostly dollar BP. I hit 14 quads with one bonus. The anomaly for the session was out of the 14 quads, 4 were dealt, and 3 out of the 4 were quad 5's! Now why couldn't those quads been aces. LOL One stretch of $6,000 CI, I was stuck for a 12% loss. This is somewhat rare for low variance BP. I collected a total of $585 in free play (bounce back + promotions). I finished down 2.3% for the entire session. As most sessions the amount of free play is key. Not bad considering no royal, no SF, and only one bonus quad. Take care, Mark BTW Your videos just keep getting better and better.

Thank you for appreciating all the work that I put into crafting each and every video. I do everything entirely on my iPhone and have no formal training in video production techniques, but I am very passionate about getting it right. I hope one day in the future we get to meet and have a detailed conversation about the nuances of successful play in video poker. Take care. I always enjoy your insights on the game.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Hello John thanks for sharing your videos, love them. Been a subscriber for about 4 months now and watch all your videos. I've been playing video poker for almost 25 years, I started out using the Bob Dancer instruction CD's to learn to play correctly, now I watch other players on RU-vid to keep my game up to par. I love the Red Rock Resort and have been playing there for many years when I visit the Las Vegas area. I always stay at the Red Rock 3-4 nights during my trip to play the best video poker to be found. My wife and I fly in from Ohio, and some friends of ours that live in Las Vegas, meets up with us at the Red Rock. My friend is a huge video poker player too. John, I just started watching the video but noticed that you are play 50 cent 7/5 BP which reduces the 8/5 99.11% game about 1% down to the low 98%'s (I don't have the exact figure). Does the lower payout concern you when considering dropping the game from $1 to 50cents. Also are all BP games below $1 7/5 rather than 8/5.
@johnsworldofvideopoker
@johnsworldofvideopoker Год назад
Just for the record, this video started on $1 & $2 coin (at the same machine) on 8/5 BP. Unlike, Pechanga, which maintains the 8/5 pay table (regardless of switching to lower or higher pay tables), Red Rock & Pala, step-down the pay table to 7/5 BP on 50¢ coin, and even further down to 6/5 BP on 25¢ coin. Since the stepping down in the coin denomination (on my part) was an effort to “salvage” a diminishing bankroll on a session that’s “being filmed” it matters not. It’s only a short term visit and the session is essentially over at this rate anyway. I was just looking for a “Hail Mary” for the sake of rescuing the video. Just remember that “off-camera” on high denomination coin, all it takes is just a few swipes to win back the entire $500 bankroll, which in this case I did.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

Please note: The $0.05. coin denomination is usually only found on a 6/5 pay table (which does not have a good pay back percentage on it). Have you ever noticed in a football game that there are fumbles, dropped passes, interceptions, blocked punts, missed field goals and yet the players WIN in the end? That’s because there’s also great tackles, great catches, record setting field goals, miracle throws, miracle catches etc. This football game is just getting started and it’s not even halftime yet. This football game ain’t over until the final whistle blows. I haven’t lost a thing.🌎

@johnsworldofvideopoker Год назад
Thank you, Linda. An abundant mentality guarantees that you’ll attract more abundance into your life. It’s exactly how the Universe operates. The inverse of that is also how the Universe operates, so it’s an easy choice to make. Although it is challenging sometimes to remain on the positive side of that curve. There is a very easy to read and short book entitled, The Science of Getting Rich” by, Wallace Wattles, written in 1910, that explains exactly how and why that works. I recommend that everyone on earth read it, since it’s a true story! It’s also the reason behind “why” I hit so many high denomination Royals and will continue to do so. It’s a mind set that is unbreakable and unstoppable! They say that video poker is a “negative expectation” game. Not in my mind!😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

@johnsworldofvideopoker
@johnsworldofvideopoker Год назад
in the long term, the 8/5 JoB would be better for you with a 97.3% pay back over the 6/5 BP which has a 96.9% pay back. I feel so bad that players across the country don't have access to the better paying video poker pay tables. At all costs, you would want to avoid playing the 6/5 BP pay table (even though I myself have played them on occasion when nothing was available and hit a $20,000 Royal Flush on it (in spite of the horrendous pay table). But I know what you mean, it's hard to give up the Bonus pay outs on the 2, 3, 4's, and 4 Aces. As long as either game is "rolling" with plenty of 2 pair, trips, straights, flushes, and full houses...I would stay on it....the Royal can pop-up at any time. If it's not "rolling" at the "bottom of the pay table" on the 6/5 BP game, I would just stay on the 8/5 BP game. Good Luck. Hopefully you can get out to Red Rock in Vegas, once in a while!

Thanks for your advice, John! If it's not rolling on BP and on the same machine, I switch to JoB, does the RNG change? If not, should I switch machines? 🤔
@johnsworldofvideopoker
@johnsworldofvideopoker Год назад
The RNG does not change. They would have to go through a process involving the gaming control board to do that. I start on 8/5 BP & “retreat” to 9/6 JoB if it’s not rolling along. Depending on the size of the bankroll, I might switch to 9/6 BPD (if that pay table is on there) or 9/7 DB, or 9/6 DDB. But it’s more likely that I’ll go machine hopping to find a machine that’s rolling along on 8/5 BP & 9/6 JoB, then keep “upping” the coin denomination.😁🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

This is merely “John’s World” of Video Poker. I won $180,000 last year and put every cent of it into building a Resort in my backyard that is now fully paid for (through video poker). Now, I’m starting from scratch again, just like everyone else. The point of my channel is to show players that regardless of bankroll size or denomination that they too can learn to get better at the game and reap the rewards. What you’re seeing is the very beginning of a humble journey from low stakes play to high stakes play and the money that can come from it. I’ve made close to $500,000 in just Royal Flushes alone in video poker with the goal of having a debt free life. This a documentary of that journey. This isn’t the end of the journey, it’s the beginning of it, and I’m taking those that may be “interested” with me. I’m going for $1,000,000 in Video Poker wins just like Bob Dancer. He wrote a book about his Million dollar video poker journey and I’m doing the same thing, only in today’s world, (people don’t read books anymore) they watch what’s on RU-vid. I’ll be gradually stepping up my coin denomination soon enough. You may want to consider reading, Bob Dancer’s book, “Million Dollar Video Poker”. @johnsworldofvideopoker Год назад
I would be surprised to learn that Bob Dancer has heard of me, and even more surprised to know, that he has actually commented about me and my channel. (which I would consider an honor since I admire what he did in video poker). But I do NOT receive any endorsements whatsoever from any casinos that I mention on my channel. I merely “applaud” the Great Casinos that offer Great pay tables to video poker players so that players can “know” what a Great casino IS! Red Rock, Pechanga, and Pala has EARNED my endorsement. They don’t need to pay me to say great things about them, they DESERVE IT! (compared to Crappy casinos) that “screw” players over by offering the bad pay tables. However, I would gladly accept an endorsement from casinos that deserve my endorsement which are: Red Rock, Pechanga, and Pala. All of them are honorable and offer players a “legitimate gamble” on their video poker machines. On the other hand, I would NOT endorse a bad casino company that is “out to screw their customers” by offering bad pay tables. In fact, I would “call them out” and alert players to NOT play video poker at those bad establishments. RU-vid is a great commercial venture. Their platform has “democratized” education for the masses. Anyone, at any time, can look up practically any topic and learn something of value or be entertained by the subject matter. That is a very valuable service and resource to provide to people around the world. Companies place Ads on RU-vid to reach the masses as well in order to provide those customers interested in receiving the benefits of owning their products. My income on RU-vid is strictly derived from Companies that see value in placing Ads on what they consider a viable channel that offers a quality viewing experience to it’s subscribers. I put a lot of creative work into the making of each and every video and it is my hope that viewers can see that I hold their viewership in high regard by my focus on having very high production standards. I believe that the viewers DESERVE nothing but my very best, so it is my intention to offer the best quality viewing experience that I’m capable of. I don’t “just go out there” swinging my camera phone around like it it’s a garden hose, (and regardless of how it looks and with no editing effort or regard for quality) just slap whatever comes out it and throw it up on RU-vid. I have much more respect for my viewers than that and I believe that they deserve better. I have no formal training or experience in making videos. I’ve only been doing this for 8 months now and I’m just now starting to understand how to do things. It is my personal goal to offer the best quality video poker channel in the world. And for that, I would deserve whatever income (from endorsements or otherwise) that I receive. This isn’t a hobby for me. I’m aiming for # 1.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

I have won $68,000 on 7/5 BP pay tables in casinos when the 7/5 BP pay table was the only one available at those casinos. The 7/5 BP pay table is a medium-tier game & still acceptable when that is all that is available.

Thank you, Barry, the last 3 videos were done on just this 1st $500 of the bankroll. There's plenty more to see regarding this particular session. Thanks for watching!

Ok John. My sister says that somehow my brain understands the Chaos Theory which is the theory of random patterns. She says this explains my video poker success. Even random number generators develop patterns after millions of hands. I think, it was when the drunk hit me at 50mph when I was parked. Either way that's my story. Just hit a 25 cent progressive for $1597.41 my last time out. KQJ of spades and 2 more jacks which I threw away. I understand the odds are lightyears against this move but......I had deja vu

😝Remind your sister that you’re a genius and that there is no such thing as “Luck”. If there is such a thing, it’s merely “created” in the mind of the beholder. You’re a genius, plain & simple! And it would behoove your sister to do exactly what you tell her to do!😝🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

7/5 BP? WTF dude? This notion of a "session bankroll" is garbage, if that is why you are playing such a trash game.

This is a multi-part session that spans up to 8 video episodes. Perhaps, you haven’t seen the 2 videos prior to this one starting with $500 on this machine. This is merely the tail end of that initial $500 bankroll, I stepped it down from $10 a bet on $2 coin on 8/5 BP down to 50¢ coin (which just happens to be on a 7/5 pay table) in a last ditch effort to salvage the remaining bankroll. The 8 part session ends in a Royal. So much for your theory on garbage.🌎

@@johnsworldofvideopoker You are making my case. Session bankroll is a garbage concept. You either have enough bankroll for the game you play or you do not. Varying you bets in response to that bankroll is more idiocy. Playing a game where the house edge is more than double what you were playing because of that scheme is doubly awful. 7/5 BP is a garbage game. I doubt you will ever get enough comps or free play to make this anything but a horrible play If you truly only have $500 to play. you are VERY underbankrolled. Dollar VP needs a bare minimum of a $20K bankroll and that is only with outstanding free play and such that is almost extinct, especially in NV.

I don’t blame you for your point of view and the case you’re making because you don’t have all the facts. And without all the facts it’s hard to make a case, much less win one. But here are the facts. On just a half dozen free play sessions (6) the free play on each session was $60, $95, $100, $250, $500, and also a free entry into a $150,000 video poker tournament which I won 1st place in. So the total amount of free play and the video poker tournament was all on what I call House money bankrolls (free play). That free play all added up to $1,005. What I won off of that free play was $235,000 on 10 Royals plus some wins accumulated on Quads etc. I’ve done this now (not just 6 times, but 38 times). I use small bankrolls of my own money and free play bankrolls to leverage the denominations and score score big Royals. It’s grown to nearly $500,000 now. I understand that’s not “your” game, but it is “my game” and I do it all the time. As long as they have 9/6 JoB & 8/5 BP on $1 coin to $100 coin (low volatility) the players can score massive wins. But if the player is recreational, just passing time and wants the "thrill" of chasing the high volatility games then there’s no win or money accumulations involved in that, it’s just a “feeling” that they’re getting from the games…..”thrills”. There's nothing wrong with being a recreational player (most players are), but I am not a "thrill-chaser" I only play low volatility games. I'm only in it for the money won on high denomination Royals. This $4,000 Royal that I just won is what I call a "throwaway Royal” of a “Baby Royal”. It's now a just a House money bankroll to be"thrown away" on high denomination coin play ($10, $20,,$25, and $50). In other words, I just exchanged $500-$1,000 of “my money” for “their money”. That is now “free play” to me. I’m using “their money” to win even bigger Royals from them. There's 8/5 BP in almost every high limit room all over Vegas. If making money is the player's goal, then that's the only game they should be playing, And they should be using these "Baby Royals"($1,000, $2,000, & $4,000) to throw away on Big denomination coin. That's how the $20K, $40K,$80K, $100K, $200K, and $400K Royals are won. On their money! All the other games are just a pastime. This is just an observation, not a judgement on players. This isn’t a debate on strategy or who’s right or who’s wrong. It’s all about the money. All that matters to me is accumulating the money and as long the ratio between what little ai put in vs. how much more I take out (10X-100X more) I win. It’s just a simple money transaction. Instead of debating “theory” I just go out and collect money. There are 2 types of players: the recreational & the Big money collectors. Those are 2 radically different kinds of players. I prefer to be the latter. Most players don’t do what I do. I know that puts me in the minority of players. That’s why we’re in this “debate” to begin with. The majority of people spend all their time “debating” instead of just going out and “win”. Court is adjourned. And the truth will set you free. It’ll also make you wealthy. Think about it.🌎
