This simple Qigong exercise called Dropping Post is a great way to shake loose the tension that can build up in the body by working at the level of the bones. It helps to move energy, strengthen bones and support good blood flow. It also is a great exercise for weight loss. It is safe to do this daily as a tonic for strong Qi (energy).

Is this best done barefoot ?

It is best done with either barefoot or with flat shoes. This will allow you to move the Qi through the whole foot. If you find it a bit too much with bare feet then consider using a yoga mat or doing this on a rug or carpeted floor. Enjoy!
