I run a ECU repair company based in Nottingham and Have used Owen's services @ "postal remaps" many times over the years, not only for remaps but check sum corrections as well, I find he is very quick and effective to respond .

I was thinking of buying one of these and doing friends/family/colleagues/local area remaps as a little side business, as cool as it is I think you've actually put me off. You got it all sorted in the end but can't imagine the stress fest if this was someone else's car! As they say, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is! I've found a few companies selling the legit Kess package and you are tied to them with the 'slave' protocol - Basically need to buy the maps as you go for 40/50 quid, but you do get full support and obviously that safety net if anything goes wrong. I'm not done but definitely don't think a slave unit would be appropriate (or fair for customers either... unless I was upfront and offered it for cheap lol) for what I had in store.

Sadly the company hasn’t restocked after selling out. Have a look at similar items and cross reference the item to feedback that’s how I chose the one I did. Hope that’s some help. Thanks for watching 🙏
I just purchased this and it came with a cd. I can not find the software download anywhere for this. Ksuite downloads are everywhere but none of them are working!! Could you possibly describe how you got your software on the laptop? Or make a video as to how to install and get the kess working? I believe there are a lot of people with this issue! From what I’ve read online. Any help would be amazing!
If the ksuite software is on the disc you need to disconnect your laptop from the internet first. Turn of all antivirus including windows defender, if you don’t do this on the next step it will be recognised as Trojan/virus which is a false positive and quarantined and won’t work. Drag and drop the software onto your desktop. Unpack and install software. Plug your kess into your laptop and run software it should work. Remember. Always run your laptop in airplane mode before starting the software or it won’t work.
I want to do this mate and i got already the kess v2, I'm confused as I'm not sure if they have sent you the modified file without the checksum's corrected or if they had to work around the checksum's to be a kess clone accepted for writing in to the vehicle? The way I understand it is an original kessv2 will do the checksum for you a clone does not. The issue I had was the clone did not do the checksum and a small issue with the pop and bang on the focus st. Once the mapper redid the map and manually did the checksum for me and sorted the issue with the pop and bang I’ve been getting volcanic eruptions from my exhaust 😁🔥. My latest video shows you how big the flames are. Winols will do the checksum for you.
Great series. I have bought a second ECU for my car and definitively considering following your steps. Do yo know if with your kit I can clone my original ECU to the spare one? Please and thank you!
I’m sure there are tutorials for cloning, but I’d look at possibly using a company to do it for you and maybe upgrade to the rs software especially if your gonna upgrade to rs injectors and turbo. Hi, I've got a battery support unit, but I was thinking of having a service for people who wanted to use for an hourly basis (£10) locally for people who need it for stuff like this also for diagnostic coding. Would you of used it if you had the chance at the time.
I think it’s an excellent idea and yes I would of used that service if one was available locally. Would definitely of saved me the worry of a power failure during writing to the ecu

Several of my viewers have used them including a chap in the USA. All have had good experiences. I will definitely be using them again. They were really helpful the whole time.
@@IIISUDDENIII All clones i had the 3last years do checksum. And thats about 9 kess. Some of ebay and some of alixpress. But a good tuner give you file with checksum ok.
@@lowrider69yearsago58 i own, ktag, kess, kt200 and mpps. All very good for price. Not failed on me yet. I do cars up to 2021. I use winols to checksum most files. So they are good, but if you have money for genuine, go for it 😊
From personal experience find the sellers that are selling the particular model you need then search their feedback and look what people have written about the same item you want to buy. When your satisfied with what you have research buy that one. That is how I did it. The company I bought mine from never restocked.
