Old differentials and harmonic balancers will start to seep oil as the seal wears a groove in the journal they ride on. When you replace the seal, you can repair the journal instead of replacing the yoke or balancer with a speedi-sleeve.
Hey I have a manual transmission where the throwout bearing has worn a divot in the outside casing around the input shaft where it rides. I thought about putting some kind of sleeve on it but figured it would need to be lathed or milled round first. any thoughts?
@@YoshimoshiGarage My dad advised me to just sand it to a smooth gradient and put grease but it really bothers my OCD that the bearing is not dead on center. Hey it works though
