He's just pointing out that having very little friction from the skinny metal wheels, like train wheels, don't allow for sudden stops. The smoothness of the ride doesn't have much to do with it.
@@albear972 You are using the metric system. Some idiot took an inch and divided it into 10ths. An inch is 12 parts. Base 10 is useless, Base 12 goes further. English Imperial made sense. Who ever thought base 10 was good, is an idiot. It's limited. Well, in a game of scrabble, "colour" gets you more points than "color" I don't know the score for each letter - but...
@@forevercomputing how many fingers do you have? If you have 12 then maybe English system makes sense. I use both cuz I'm forced to do it. English one is by far the dumbest thing ever. Get in 2019 already
Beyond the Press did a video driving an AWD car with giant sawblades for wheels on a frozen lake. I think what you're suggesting would look about the same, so maybe check that video out.
@@animalmother9339 no, but you can easily get a shotgun. To get a permit for it you need to have a safe in your house and also a clean history (no criminal). Also, you can't carry it openly. Most people in countryside have a gun, but not many people in the city.
Your channel will come in very handy if there is ever an apocalyptic event. We now know what would work to fix a vehicle temporarily. Could be a lifesaver
Watching all the ads to support the channel and fund these crazy fun experiments.. Science isn't all about rockets.. Well unless it's a rocket powered motorcycle
Vlad, I love you, you are insane! I pity the vehicles that you choose to experiment on, you have no mercy, I pray for your safety and well-being too. Warmest greetings from America!
Being labeled "the craziest russian" must be one of the toughesr, hardest achievements in our universe. I would be extremely proud 😁 regardless of who really deserves it that is saying something.
The fuck happened in this thread? I think everyone needs to go have a beer and watch some silly cat videos. We all know Internet Tough Guys are retarded. Why act like them?
I have a cool idea for you guys. Remove the spark plugs from the engine, and try driving on starter motor only. Just put it in first gear, release the clutch, and hit the ignition and see how far it will go until it finally burns out.
True story, I had a hire car a little Fiat, it ran out of petrol about a mile from home some was down hill, but the flat bits and a small amount of uphill, she ran on the starter motor in 3rd gear at about 15mph, no problem I was amazed how well it went.
Ha ha. I love this channel. You guys are caaarazy & I loooove it. You have fun doing what you do & that is what counts. I looove y'alls channel. To bad we can't have that kinda fun in the states. Keep on keeping on Garage 54. I am looking for ward to your next video. Thanx soooo much for sharing with us. Have a great day & a great night in Mother Russia. Thanx again for all you guys do to bring a smile to our face
Love the videos I’m from the United States. You should cut segments out around the manholes, and see how they dig. Block cut or saw blade , I’d say either would be awesome
vitameat you’d have to brake earlier for the corners if you tried taking that car round a race track because, as you can see, manhole covers don’t offer much in the way of traction. Nurburgring Nordschleife is 24 kilometres long, so you’ll be there all day.
I'd like to see you take the FWD Lada's engine and put it where the rear seat was, then turbo charge it. Tadaa - russian renault 5 turbo. I know, not your typical quick hack thing and more of a long term project.
I love this chanel, they just do things. Other RU-vidrs would make videos like the Lada with 3 engines or with a ZIL engine over many episodes, they just do it in one.
Everyone whant lightweight aluminum rims, some people use wide steel rims. In (Soviet) Russia, people use cast iron wheels. Tires can puncture and wear out.
You should weld some paddles on them for off-road. In the delta, farmers will weld paddles to the rims of their farm trucks, with tires still on, so they can drive in the fields. When the tires sink a little in the mud the paddles start to pull.
If you could turn down the thickness of the manhole covers and add 2 or 3 more calipers, you could have the world's largest set of disc brakes. On 38 inch tires, that might be pretty useful.
You know if this was in America the guy would be wearing a flame suit helmet car would have roll cages. But here you have this guy in a beater car and a smile on his face that's all. Absolutely awesome
