For the past 3 days I've been religiously watching your videos and taking notes - you make this look way, way easier than it actually is. A true pro. Huge props, this was the most impressive run I've seen in RE2 so far.
@@lucidslendy9395 What's more impressive is that he is so chill when he's doing it - when i'm trying it i'm stressed to the max, sweating and cursing, haha Thanks man!
TheVolgun, I barely beat hardcore in 2:05:00 with 2 saves. I died about 10 times and used the infinite pistol but I got what I wanted. I don’t know how this guy is so fast and evasive with no damage. To hell with that, I just wanted the machine gun
Broo i did every thing you did in this video on ps4 and all i gotta say is thank you!!! Well except for knifing birkin lmfao but everything else went according to your video thanks and it took me the whole day
I think a no damage, no save S+ hardcore is pretty much impossible. If it is possible, it would require an absurd amount of luck/RNG and an unfathomable amount of gameplay hours to accomplish. Good job on this run man!
Thank you thank you!!! I think no save isn't too toooo bad... I only had to load 5 times in this run I think and 4 of those were in the first ten minutes this whole run also only took 2 hours. A no save run might take all day or a couple days max
I followed your route on claire A hardcore s+ run and how i almost got sub 2hour, made it 2hrs 7min. i need to practice more dodges and boss fights. Thanks a lot :D
@@istaebiel1426 The minigun can actually stunlock Mr. X while shooting at his bulletproof coat. The only thing it doesn't do that well is deal with lickers on hardcore, and that's the biggest shame. Everything else tho, they just become long range bullet propelled mops and it is very stress relieving.
Thanks man watching your video has given me some courage to attempt the S+ challenge on hardcore as I have finished it already on Hardcore with an S rank.
@@mjay417 Ikr. I appreciate the video but that part was cringe. Just because you sing randomly and repeat audio noises from the game doesn't signify a personality...
Really helpful, I finally did it in Leon's campaign and yes, it took a few attempts because I wasn't lucky with Mr. X but I managed get the S+. Now's Claire's turn.
the rocket launcher and mini gun S+ runs are insanely difficult to get the hang of at first. But I’ll get there one day. Cheers to you man. This was good. I need to get the knife trick down. Haven’t grasped it yet. I get smoked lol
Fantastic run man, I just used it to BLOW through Standard for my S rank and Carbon Footprint achievement, will definitely be using it on an S+. You're awesome.
it is truly amazing to see. I mimicked the run, tried best as I could... and I inevitably ran into Z's when you did not. Got hit by lickers/dogs, when you did not... I even went thru the game 3x (LeonA/ClaireA/LeonB) to get the infinite knife... LOST IT FIRST Z BITE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I paused my game to watch your angles and wait times, did my darnedest.... you finished your game was 1:31.... my game after literally 6 hours of "real time" (pausing/eating/screaming at TV)... was in-game 4:30... sigh... WHAT THE FFFFffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!!!???!!!
@Azure Neko i getcha, somethinh special about resident evil series makes it replayable like hell. I s ranked everything and played 85hrs already. Wont go for s+ though, thats just not fun for me. Lol
@Azure Neko Same when I played the game for the first time as Leon. So far I've beat the game 8 times. Twice as a speed runner in order to get the S+ rank. But still. I don't enjoy speed running at all!
Only playing one short campaign without the other ones reasonably complementing it ruined it for me. I dont wanna be bitchy but i had been waiting for this game for three years and it was supposed to be something really special to me. I consider that campaign system as a shame to a point that i am asking myself what they have been doing all these years.
I felt I could mimic a good portion of what he did most of my issues were things like stairskating which made even more sense when Bawk explained it early on in the video and knifing Birkin was difficult but I'm fucking proud because I was able to do that! But it did take me like 4 trys, and there were a few other things but I cant think of them at the top of my head
Thank you for this it helped me alot and i also managed to get s+ as well, i was right behind you in time, with just like a 8min gap, then you went for coffee....and i realized how big of an amateur i was, either way thank you for this, helped me alot several times!
Got this vod saved for when I do my claire A hardcore S and S+ glad I'm allowed to do it in just under 2 lol. Love you're content and hope to catch nore streams in the future
Always enjoy your videos. U r the only channel that does PC playthroughs of games cause u don't make the camera go everywhere and so I don't get motion sick so I really appreciate it. I was fortunate enough to play re2 remake 8 times before going into the hospital for brain surgery 2 days ago,now I'm just chilling in the hospital waiting to be released so your videos help pre occupy my time. Normally I bring my console with me to the hospital along with my portable monitor but I knew this time I wouldn't be feeling well enough to sit up and play and all that so your videos really help. Always enjoy your stuff and keep up all the good work. Btw I don't think you are on drugs lol. I'm an actual recovering addict (6 years clean and sober) and u def don't act like some body on drugs lol. U just have an exciting personality which is a good thing my friend!
@@XxXtremeAnime thank you my friend. Im feeling better than yesterday. This isnt my first brain surgery so its easier than the first time,Its just more of the recovery time and getting staples in the same area every time so the scar tissue is pretty bad and painful. I appreciate the kind words.
@@Bawkbasoup thank u my friend. Im feeling much better than yesterday. I'm watching your knife only run through again and its so much fun to watch. I would totally love it if u made just a fun video using all your infinite ammo guns to see how fast u could run through the game and just to show them off to people who are aiming to get them! Good luck in all u do and keep up the awesome work!
S plus Claire A step by step with your walkthrough but I spent more time looking and backtracking for the machine gun Thanks man!! Finally the Gatlin gun is mine :)
Multisegment, Singlesegment - I don't care. I always try getting something out of it. And that's why you and carci heavily improved my gameplay, so thank you for that! :)
This walkthrough helped me out so much! Thank You, I couldn’t get through without taking damage but you cut my time down by 40mins! Finished with (1:51:11) I only had two guns the entire play through so it was tough. Congrats man because this seems really hard to pull off
I just got an S+ rank from watching your video brotha, I don’t care about the world record or finishing the game within an hour, I just care about the ranking. Now to Leon B. Cheers to you man!
I swear to god i do everything exactly as you do specially during the G stage 1 fight. Somehow this guy beat him with one flash grenade and a knife. I used 3 flash grenade the knife and almost 3 flame rounds and 2 green herbs. You make it look really easy
One down, one to go. Thanks a lot man, watching you play got me to git gud. Gonna take a rest by hammering them Zs with infinite minigun before starting another hardcore run. Gg!
What I hate the most is when I get caught by one of them and use a sub weapon, sometimes I can’t go around them and caught again and I don’t have anything and then I get poisoned😒🤬🤬
I'm literally just going to follow this video and pause and play as I go, lol. Edit: I did it last night and forgot to follow this video, lol. But hey I did it.
Achieved S+ rank ,thanks to you 🙌🏽 your runs are amazing and I’m excited which categories do you encounter next 😆 big fan since I watched your RE2 run at AGDQ
Dawg, nice 360p going on here. Also, regarding the description. Would love to see a single segmant no damage run, just so long as it doesn't drive you insane trying to do it. Still, I believe in you.
For the G2 section. You can throw a grenade at the shutters (the ones Birkin breaks down after trying to stab you through the roof) and he will skip the ceiling part and break the door down way quicker.
"Oh my god. This is F**king crazy bro! This is F*king insane bro. Holy Sh*t. How the hell did you do that man. oh my god..............This is F*king insane dude"
Hello, tyvm for your content, i guess we all appreciate your dedication. May I ask something ? Lots of players may need/appreciate some "safe" version of S+ run. Because, with RNG it may be almost impossible to reproduce some of your zombies dodging, failing our attempts. Can you try to do some "Hard core Leon A+Claire A (cauz B is more harder imo) S+ safe way : using infinite knife to clean the dangerous ennemies, gathering healing/ammo/2nd weapons + tips for hardests parts + 3 best saves location. Thanks :)
Only the infinite knife is allowed. Any of the Infinite firearms will lock you to S rank maximum. But infinite knife is highly recommended, as you can see from his first Berkin fight.
For those who dunno, u can either put in the safe codes either by doing the code to how many times it should be or just put in the code perfectly ex: 5 12 9 left or right it's same, & COMBINE ITEMS WITHOUT PUTTING THEM IN YOUR INVENTORY EXAMPLE: NO SPACE?, COMBINE NOW.
MarkindVGA If you’re not worried about S+ try going for the infinite handgun (clear standard in under 3 hours and 30 minutes). It’s not super OP or anything but having infinite ammo to clear out pesky zombies in rooms you have to go through repeatedly can take away some headache.
I feel ya. I played the first 4 times on assisted. Stupidly I thought standard can't be that bad. Boy was I wrong. I should practice some before hand. I also have a hard time leaving anything behind. I have terrible aim and can't dodge for shit. Lol
Dr. Feelgood that’s ok that you like to grab everything, just prioritize what you need for then and upcoming, you’ll more than likely be through that room again. Damage to the body is the same as to the head so don’t worry about always scoring headshots, focus on limb removal, preferably the legs so you can breathe for a sec and plan your next move. Lastly memorize and get familiar with the map and what enemies are present at certain times through the game, having that mapped out in your head gives you a good compass in case shit hits the fan. But I would agree that the Infinite samurai edge is kind of a must for your first hardcore playthrough, it will definitely ease the transition a bit.
@@zrichards907 these speedrun amaze me that they leave so much. I can't get by with that little. Lol I would like to see some runs where they explain or layout the way they're going. Maybe throw in some tips.
Dr. Feelgood well again confidence in their knowledge of the map. Pay attention to the places you go and where the key pieces are for your playthrough. Once you have all that memorized or confident at least that you know where you are going, you’ll start playing differently and you yourself will start noticing little strategies that these speed runners do. You just will trust me lol
Oh my god, this is fucking crazy, bro! This is fucking insane, bro! Holy shit! How the hell did you do that, man? Oh my god! It's fucking insane, dude!
After watching a few of your runs to learn some tricks I got my time down to 2 hr 12 min for my S+ Leon run, the consoles are still super slow by comparison so I'm expecting only one or two speedrunners to roll through on them.
Hey Bawk! Can you attempt the no item box challenge next? I managed it a couple days ago. I want to see how you handle it :9 You're my favorite RE streamer. Keep kicking ass!
The first 3 zombies (other than the one by the vending machine) all BIT me when I ran past, yet you sail on by them.... Do you have some kind of repellent on?? Or maybe oil that makes their hands slip right off as they go to grab you? I did scoot out the door as one fell in, though! Neat trick! I'm impressed with your runs.
You can kite them a bit to make it more likely to get past. If you sort of approach from one side until they turn and start approaching or lunging, then quickly run past them on the opposite side itll usually help avoid a bite.
@@TheGoondas87 Hi, yeah.. tried that with varied success; the 2 in the corridor by the west office usually get me, yet Bawk just runs by without a pause. And... how the heck do you manage to walk normally past a Licker and not get grabbed? I sneak - barely pushing the button forward - and I'm dinner. I watched another player also walk normally past the 2 in the kennels and I've only ever managed to sneak (not walk) past the 2 in the lab area after they've moved from the doorway to the stairs. Wish knifing was that good on console!! Back to practice for 'dodging' .... with a bit of bravery, I've walked normally past most lickers now, except the 2 in the lab are now really aggressive; I nudge forward until they spawn, then don't even move (other than aim) and the ceiling one goes for me!! I hate the sewer monsters!! Oh, I'll just slip by to the right... nope. Okay, to the left, then... nope. And mine recover from the zap a lot faster. Zap, run, grabbed. I did get an S rank with 3 mins to spare, so now I can practice with endless ammo...
Awesome run love ur speedruns pick up so many tips for my runs, I don't get why people don't watch ur no save runs that's way harder as failing is restarting from scratch and no saves is proving u just did not reload a bunch of times till it was perfect good going true pro just finished my S+ run hardcore today with Claire and the knife trick with Birkin 1 cant believe that worked but it did lol keep up the vids your awesome
Yes, the zombie can bite with no arms (not sure if they can on the ground though)... as a matter of fact, if they have no arms, they will ONLY bite and will not grab so you won't be able to use your secondary weapon to fend them off. (i witness this myself in my speedrun but it was walking not crawling)
Love to watch that Runs, Sir!!! You are awesome and such a calm and nice Person to watch! ^^ What a RUN!!! I can't do a decent go on Standard... lol Well, ok, on Console it's not as fast and fluid as on PC, but well...i am just NOT good! XD Obviously XD
The reason why people don't care for "no save + no damage" runs is that the majority of people who watches speedruns is more interested in the strategies, the dodges and the pickups/routes in order to do their own S+ and get the unlockables. In that light, it becomes clear why people don't care for "no save" runs since, in their own playthroughs, people will use heals and WILL save their games. If you wanted more raw views, do your runs and commentate (explain) your thought processes and whatnot (like Carcinogen) does. I believe you'd be great at it, since your knowledge of the game itself is undeniably great. If you want to appeal to the most hardcore audience, then keep your no-save+no-damage runs, but be mindful that you'll appeal to a niche market at best.
To each their own. I enjoyed his run based on the fact that it was a no damage and no saves difficulty. It's not a fucking tutorial so why turn it into one?
Not sure if anyone found out yet. If you want to avoid the Grenade launcher at the Police department. You can also pick it up at the nest where Sherry gets placed. I've found no information on that on the internet. Not bothering too look very hard either. I found it doing Claire's story with just the infinite machine gun. I'm sure it is true for Leon and the Shotgun. Probably not useful, but it's something.
Oh my god, this is fucking crazy bro! This is fucking insane, bro! Holy shit! How the hell did you do that man!? Oh my god! This is fuckin insane, dude!
So is it just the knife infinite you can get S+ with? Haven't did Claires for the minigun but i did Leons for the Launcher, i thought all infinites applied to preventing S+ & only getting S. Is there a trick to it like just defeating the last bosses without infinite guns or is the knife an exemption.
Played Claire on Hardcore and got an S+ rank, but during my first run, I ran to the same spot I always do during the Sherry section and he somehow saw me. You hid in the same spot as me! lol.
hello, do basically you only get the pouch from the safe? And also can i get through without the SMG? I think its a waste of time back tracking to the STARS office.
gradeAbra the game doesn’t give laying around pouches on hardcore, so all pouches are behind puzzles or combos or require extra work. And if you are going for S+, yes the smg is not worth the extra time at all. The GL, Spark shot, And the SLS is all you need in a run
Yes pouches are not just lying around on hardcore, you have to solve a small puzzle to get any of em. Also do not even bother going back to the stars office to get the smg since it is very week, so don’t even bother picking up the jewel box or the book from the library
In all of my S runs, I just never wasted time getting the submachinegun, I never found any situation where it would be more useful than the pistol, the pistol can do all the work just fine. The majority of the run is easily carried by the GL
