They're both great but in very different ways. The original wasn't a horror game. It was a funny, campy action game with zombies and monsters. The remake is a usually serious, intense horror game with spooky stuff.
@@Pro_Butcher_Amateur_Human Dafuq? I mean yeah the Remake is way more serious than the Original but a horror Game?! I think the serious tone mixed with the Goofy tone is perfect.
From what I'm seeing, it took what was great about the original and made it even better. Plus I love the little details added into it, like Leons frustration whenever he misses a shot or how he handles his firearm. He ejects a mag with rounds still in it and puts it away and the slide doesn't pull back since there is still a round in the chamber
Leon S. Kennedy -The Hair ✅️ -The Cute face ✅️ -The Cheezy talk ✅️ -The Cheezy jokes ✅️ -The Suplex ✅️ -The Action ✅️ -The Ladiesman✅️ -The Goofballness✅️ Yeah.. he still Leon that i know for what ?.. 18 years ? Lol
Some changes in remake i noticed Ashley is actually not annoying and her fear of the situation is really understandable Leon is suffering some kind of trauma after the racoon city, and probably uses some corny lines to keep himself cheered up, he's goofy and serious at same time Ada is different too, she seems to be the one chasing or wanting leon to be her side, while showing her feelings toward leon, leon isn't exactly chasing her either but still have strong feelings for her, At the end Ashley instead of having the "overtime" statement, she wants leon to be her personal body guard or so she could be close to him In conclusion : Rizzident Evil 4 remake is a 9/10
Leon is pretty ill too.. I adore this part. SADDLER: "Hi kiddos im Osmund Saddler! Im the speaker of our lord!... " LEON says: " tell somebody who gives a shit" (LEON shoots Saddler in the face.) SADDLER bitches: "Foolish lambs" Bad ass scenes.. :D fucking saddler
that's what makes Leon the goat, considering in future installments he gets to deal with literal carriers and bombs and somehow not only survive but actually win, all that while he is still just an agent armed with a pistol and no armor
The knife parry scene between Leon and Krauser in the RE4 remake was indeed an impressive display of both choreography and tension. The movements of both characters were executed with precision and skill, creating a sense of realism and intensity that kept me on the edge of my seats. I enjoy every second of it!
Kind of corny but to each their own. Just didn't make much sense to me how she was able to resist shooting Leon but in this scene where Saddler is nowhere near them it was just that affective.
@@abominablesnowman64 I think this scene is more Appropriate. In answer to your comment the reason is, Ashley couldn’t resist then because it was happening to her for the first time there. So she wasn’t prepared. She didn’t know how to resist it. She was caught off guard. That’s why she reacts so badly to it. Running away like that. But later Ashley has had some experience to how she feels when she starts loosing control, how she reacts and so with that knowledge she becomes better at resisting. Also you have to factor in that Ashley resisting shooting Leon was also due her growing liking towards him. She gets warmer and warmer towards Leon as the story progresses, as they interact more with each other. As she gets to know Leon more & understand him more. So ofcourse her stronger feelings towards Leon helps her in resisting more.
@@violetackerman8242 yeah I got to that point in the original and was like "THATS how they got separated??". Ashley in the original was willing to listen to what leon told her to do jumping out a window hiding in places.(while remake ashley will do it with hesitancy) then you get to that cutscene and she's acting weird to leon who's just trying to help her after she coughed up blood. In the remake ashley doesn't run from leon trying to help her instead she's being controlled. I agree its a much much better cutscene and explanation than the original.
Probably one of the best parts, they left Leon's personality the same. Same adorable dry humor and funny one liners. Ah I can't wait to get my hands on this!❤
they didn't make her cute, she is cute in reality. she's lending her face for this game model. she's actually a real model but her body is from her stunt actress. she's also youtuber
I do like that this version of RE4 has Ada chase after Leon more than the other way around. She wants him by her side, here that has been made more clear. Also they highlighted Leon’s positive influence on Ada here more too with that final scene when she decides not to give the perfect plaga sample to Wesker. She literally watches one of her greatest reasons to reject Wesker’s plan, Jet Skiing away in the distance. To hammer the point.
The best part about this remake is how they changed alot about ashley!! Now i love her alot she isn't annoying and she was very usefull! Damn i swear i can't be more happy😂😭
@@LogosSteve if I had a dollar for every RE villain that follows Palpatine mannerisms then I would have 2 dollars, which isn't a lot but still interesting that it happen twice (The other is Oswell E Spencer, which also confirmed by the VA)
I'm just gonna pretend that Krauser's voice is still deep and badass but he has some kind of flu side effect from the plaga here that makes his voice so squeaky in the remake 😌
she's actually a model. she's also a RU-vidr. she's from Netherlands but works as model in japan. she's actually slimmer than this game model though because they use different body model for motion capture
It's a shame that there no scene where Leon pissed salazar off making him know leon is still alive and have him to send his right hand verdogo to kill... But still the game is so sick and the masterpiece of all the remake. I'm giving it 9/10
Las plagas literally translates to the pests, considering they use a parasite to monsters, those infected act like a huge mind, and that the bosses do have bug like weapons. Pincers, multiple limbs, and that the umbrella organization tend to experiment on creatures first like infected dogs, tarantulas, a crocodile, snake, and freaking plants 2
If they couldn't get Jolene Andersen to reprise her role as Adas VA again, they should've gotten a professional VA or just asked the OG Ada VAs like Sally Cahill or Courtenay Taylor to step in. This Adas VA sounds terrible, her delivery sounds so flat and dead.
Theres plenty of laziness in this remake. They thought that the fun parry system, beautiful graphics and resident evil 4 in the title would be more than enough for this game. There are little things that are either lazy or been cut entirely and eventually they all add up at the end of the day and that is why this will never surpass the original just like the last 2 remakes. I'm not saying the game is bad. Resident Evil remakes are still good games. Just short of classic. Resident Evil 2&4 Remakes are great 8.5 out of 10 games but there negatives here that prevent it from being a 9 or 9.5 out of 10 games like the original Resident Evil 2&4.
@@greasy8394 well at least this remake is good unlike 3. You still complaining about it? Yes they cut a content but it's only a little. Lazy? I think you talking about re3 here. This remake is just as good as the og. The knife parry made it even better.
I really don't understand the double heel turn by Ada at the end vs OG "Oh suddenly I understand Wesker wants to create the perfect bio-weapon to further human evolution and i'm suddenly not okay with that." the fuck?
I think they want to cement the idea that Ada is a double agent. In the surface she works for Wesker but she really is working for 'The Organization' which was introduce in what, Umbrella Corps.? RE7?
Yeah unlike everyone else I'm not attached to the hip twords the original one course I played the fuck out the og sure but in this version I say it's awesome some shit I could live with out never effected me that much before all those years ago when I first played anyways can't wait for the dlc coming soon plus mods lol ( but that Wesker cameo tho)
@@joannaalmazan4508 I agree with you, I also not the kinda guy who's always mingled with nostalgia and easily gets hype for this game. I am more balanced that's why I focus on my own objective, why I play this game and without people's opinions that's all (People will think I'm boring😆)
I don't mind Remake Ada as much as I do remake Krauser and some of the early lines by Saddler here Until Saddler actually appears in person his lines are read horrendously, Krauser doesn't sound anywhere near as gruff as OG. I know RE is supposed to emulate the B movie feel but come the fuck on.
I could say the same about everyone else. They are a downgrade from the originals. Especially Krauser, Leon, Salazar, Saddler and of course The Merchant.
0/10 DC Douglas isn't voicing Wesker. Jokes aside though, I love that this Remake not only retained most of the original game's contents but also expanded on some of them to make sure it's not a complete modernized rehash. Love it! I only wish RE2 and RE3 had the same amount of depth and care, but alas. Can't wait to play this soon!
for some reason they got the actress from welcome to raccoon city, no wonder the performance feels so bad. Its really unfortunate I like Ada in this game but that voice augh
They didn't go anywhere brother. You can always play the classic. Played it before the remake but that was a mistake. kind of made me like the remake less. It's disappointing that new fans and old alike don't understand Leon's character and consider him goofy. Some people are coping saying he's still the same and no, no he's not. They pulled back his personality quite a bit not as much as Ashley's. He still makes witty one liners but no where near the classics. It is a remake after changes are to be expected. It's almost like a retelling for a modern audience.
@@abominablesnowman64 remake is always about retelling for modern audiences. but movie remakes tend to be bad because the producer, director tend to missing the whole point of original. but this game is great because they understand why fans love this game
Pros: Love the dialog with Leon and Ashley (who is no longer super annoying...and more friendly due to her finally putting on PANTS!) Luis has more screen time and dies better here (sorry not gonna lie, got upset how he died here but it wasn't as brutal as fucking Saddler killing him.) Ada shows less sultry side and even the cold but also caring side than her playful minx side was in the original Love how they got the ammo to be made and the guns set up Krauser was more bad ass fully mutated and had a fun fight Got rid that childish look and more dwarfish feel on Salazar Some boss fights were harder and others easier. Cons: The jewelry system was ok but not as I remember from the last game The Case....THE CAAAAAAAAASE! (hated it but still it was gonna be expected.) They brought back that head chomping Plaga More annoying than hard boss fights Kinda changed some stuff but still not much when it came to the puzzles and death traps. Took some bosses from Leon and gave them to Ada, making it more troublesome for her DLC Didn't make Wesker that well at the end. coulda made him more sinister than a hollywood lookin pops. All in all, doesn't disappoint and definitely delivered a good remake like the other two. so I give it a 9.5 out of 10
