In this reaction video series, I'm watching my way through the classic late 80s sitcom Just the Ten of Us. This is the 18th episode of the 2nd season, Radio Days.
RU-vids loss. I personally look forward to your videos every week. I was hesitant at first because of the reaction factor and just wanted to watch the episodes. But I now understand why and enjoy your comments. Thank you again for bringing Just the ten of us back into our lives. RU-vid might not appreciate you, but we do.
I agree….a lot of reaction videos I can’t watch because they interrupt the video every few seconds…Jeremy doesn’t do that and he usually waits until the scene is over…I actually enjoy hearing his comments so it doesn’t bother me when he does..
I really love ur dedication to this show and trying to get it rebooted, it reminds me of how I spent majority of the pandemic trying to get vh1 Pop up Video streamed (fingers still crossed)...I also love the opening scene of them glued to the show and screaming when Mom cut tv off b/c thats when u realllllly had to wait to see the cliffhanger of a show until reruns or ran in the paper...newspaper that is...lol
Being someone who has lived in the Eureka , Ca . Are I’m pleased to of heard them mention Arcata Scotia , Ronnerville Road area in Fortuna , and Willow Creek . I enjoyed them Actually recognizing what area they are in and the surrounding towns
I think that's fair. I usually try to say ditzy rather than stupid, and naïve might be a better word. She clearly had intelligence, which we saw in episodes like this.
I just noticed in the radio studio on the wall a poster for the 1989 film Lean on Me. I bet that is there because WB released that film as well as produced this show.
One of my favorites!! Even tho Cindy’s character is ditzy, her intellect is shown through her talent of preforming arts. “I just report the lies, I don’t make them up.” Sherry had some great one liners for her age 🤣🤣 Congratulations on a clear colonoscopy!
Charlie was another one I saw on Growing Pains. He was Fred in a couple episodes. His wife was Wilma. And no, they don't have a daughter named Pebbles. 😁
As to George Bush, this was when we just called him that, rather than George H. W. Bush. He had just started his only term as President. Even though this aired in March 1989, we must remember it might've been taped the previous month so it was very early in his term. That might've been added just before they shot the episode, you never know how the writing goes on a show.
I think this episode wasn't as laugh out loud funny as some of the other ones lately. But it was interesting to see that Cindy did have some talent after all. This could've been the career path she would've chosen in life later on.
While the joke about "family fun night" might not have been received well by ABC (I had the same thought as I was watching it), I also thought it was hilarious! Other sitcoms did that kind of stuff all the time, such as Married w/ children, Seinfeld and Home Improvement. Apparently they got away with it much easier. 😁
Holy crap! I never connected that kid with being Jeremy Astor. This is definitely my favorite Cindy episode. I wish she had continued to do the radio gig though the rest of the series.
I really do enjoy these videos and the show. Unfortunate it only lasted like 40 something episdoes. I liked Growing Pains and found it really fun, Especially the first five seasons. The last 2 seasons were still fun and they did a good job with it cuz they were growing up and stuff so the innocent humor wasn’t as present but this show has lots of it and is very fun. Each character has there own personality but it plays off there personalities in a fun way. Speaking of Growing Pains 30:11 it’s the guy that guy from the Boston college recruiter episode
I didn't remember this episode but loved how sweet cindy is... I like even though they were being I guess jerks about Marie wendy and connie were really just trying to look out for cindy... I would have liked to see their reactions to the radio show
Carmen Filpi appeared on "Growing Pains" as a homeless man posing as a Boston College recruiter to fool Carol's parents. He misnamed the school as Boston University (a real school, which I attended). I just looked it up, and that episode aired in the same month as this one.
I mentioned that too… I wasn’t alive at that time but I keep forgetting that this is going on at the same time as growing pains. Crazy that they can just use the same guy during the same month kinda silly
Hello! On the latest episode #23 it's blocked to comment. The girl with the boxes was also on a terrible 80's movie called Troop Beverly Hills. It was bad but I liked it because of childhood.
I don't even remember this episode for some reason. I remembered all of the other ones you posted, however. Must not have seen it since the syndication run.
I've remembered that scene all these years. If only i could remember which episode that falling-off-the-church-roof scene was from. I remember it was in one, I just don't remember which.
@@kristinazubic9669 Apparently, it was a dream sequence on Growing Pains, as I've been told on FB when I brought up that shot in a discussion about it.
I think Jeremy, you asked this somewhere in this episode, how was Cindy able to do the radio show if she was supposed to sing at Danny's. She did Danny's Saturday and Sunday nights and the radio show was Friday night, if I recall, so no conflicts.
I actually never watched Sister Sam, and I unfortunately don't have it on DVD. I've heard quite a few JtToU fans express appreciation for that show, too.
@@RetroFat it's on RU-vid my sister sam. But love the Halloween one and can't find it. Has Pam Dobber from Mork and Mindy and Rebecca Schaffer who sadly was kill by a crazy fan..not sure if that is why it has been on DVD but was played on USA you should check it out. Great show about two sisters one a photographer and other still in school. Thanks for the response
@@elisaduncan2753 I didn't catch that show myself, but I remember it. She was killed after the show had ended. Pam Dawber has now had 2 costars that died young and in a bad way. And Joann Willette did guest star on MSS.
I believe there is only a few copies of these that only a small group of ppl own. You can order the poor quality ones that I own. They are better than nothing and I don’t mind it...I get to watch the cut out scenes here and discuss it with amazing ppl who feel the same way I do abt a show that was a huge part of my childhood Please don’t bother the OP. He’s doing a great job providing these to the rest of us. And doing it in a way youtube won’t take down. Just enjoy it and join the conversation ☺️
@@albertbaley6455 no. I think it’s mostly ppl who were directly involved w the show. Or possibly just some random person had the original ABC non syndicated VHS copies , and they cleaned them up. You can by some poor quality ones floating around. Im pretty certain there are not allowed to distribute it. (Or they already would) Plus, there isn’t probably that many of these around to give out or sell. They are not allowed to distribute it to the public at this time..... We would ALL love to have it, but due to copyright of the Lubbock Babe’s songs it may be a lot of red tape.
