As a former employee, 1. Everything comes in fresh and never frozen and gets prepped before every open. 2. They're probably my favorite tasting fast food burger overall. The fries are twice fried and the 2nd fry isn't until they're ordered. But yeah, pretty pricey. I'd always go double with cheese, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, pickles, lots of grilled onions. I would season my personal patties with Cajun seasoning too before throwing them in the griddle

Just ignore the complaining about the price as the price is easily worth it with how good there food is and you dont got to eat there all the time. On another note if you go there with multiple people you wont have to get an order of fries for each person do the the amount they give you being enough for 2 or more people depending on what size you get.

There's multiple five guys around me. 2 I know of. I had it once when I was in middle school and I remembered loving the burger. That was the only time I had it. So that was about 12 years ago. I had it again about a year and a half ago. It was near my work but never on my route home until the road I normally took flooded so I figured I would try it. I went in and they gave a free drink to the guy in front of me I didnt think anything of it. The workers inside seemed very kind and enthusiastic. They asked if I wanted a single or double patty. I told them a single burger. The man at the register told me to take a drink for free, and when I got my burger the chef who cooked it for me told me he gave me a double for no charge. The burger was perfect and I got 2 free things. I don't know if they were just in a really good mood or if they had some special thing going on but it was definitely a good experience

Nah 5 guys just goes hard. They would always give me a handful of fries for free at my local joint. Mainly cuz I went a lot (after work/gym) and would talk to the workers when they were bored. Also never drank soda or anything, always ordered the same thing. So after a while they'd just throw me some fries and even a drink if wanted. They ended up closing down cuz of COVID. 😭😭😭

I usually go for the little bacon cheeseburger with xtra cheese, mayo, catsup, raw onions, and grilled jalas. I'll pair that with a regular fry and occasionally get a vanilla shake with peanut butter, banana, and light whipped cream.

I’ll have to give my local place a try again. For some reason they also went downhill around 2016 and I hadn’t really been back since. I loved the little bacon burger with ketchup, mustard, and sometimes mushrooms and onions. And of course the Cajun fries are a must. Pricey but if they’re back to doing a good job it’s worth it IMO.

Worked at 5 guys for a year. Can confirm, the food is really high quality, so much so that at one point ordering a BLT sandwich caused the company to LOSE money.

"Brah" their burgers are good, yes! Their fries are great and a tremendous deal for the price...However, if you have not tried their BLT, you must! It is yummy and the bacon is broken into small pieces instead of being laid across within the burger-like buns. Tis a good go-to if one is craving a BLT kinda sandwich!

Decided to go ahead and take a chance with 5 Guys, as I was already there to burgerfy myself. I was pleasantly surprised by their BLT! A fluke? Dunno but I have had about 3 in the past year or so & worked for me each time...🤔

Cant do ketchup on burgers. It's basically sugary tomato paste, overpowers the flavor of the beef. I find cheese compliments the beef flavor more nicely kind of how bacon does. Also prefer lettuce tomato for that cold, refreshing crunch to balance the heat and grease of the meat.

The vinegar in the ketchup offsets the fattiness of the burger. If you dont want the sugar, mustard will help. I personally find that lettuce and tomato distract from a good burger while not contributing much flavor.

Every Saturday is a 5 Guys pick up. I change it up every week...but husband likes the bacon cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and extra cheese. A regular fry....but this weekend...it will be the cajun fry. Haven't done that in a while. Never had a bad burger or wrong order in over a year. Glad to se you review them. 5 Guys has been my favorite for quite some time. People complain about the price, and it is expensive enough that I don't eat here all the time. Just a not so frequent treat I guess.. But the couple 5 Guys local to me have been consistently good. I got no complaints.

My go-to order at Five Guys is a bacon double hamburger and fries. Sometimes I put steak sauce on the burger, sometimes barbecue sauce, and sometimes hot sauce. They're some of the best burgers I've ever had anywhere.
