That is a gorgeous plant. I just ordered one because a customer purchased one and put it on the wall and it looks gorgeous. I am thinking of letting mine crawl along my balcony is that something I can do without giving problems to the plant? I do not like moss poles.

@@TylerMossop My balcony is inside. I am hoping I can put it there. Though it has bright light, it's not direct and the lack of humidity might be and issue, so thanks for this informative video.

Love the RD plant! When should a moss pole or wood stake be added to aid with its growth?

I put my first one on a moss pole and it’s just climbed and climbed without putting out much foliage. May have had nothing to do with the moss pole… but opted against one for now - if I use one I’ll make a new video for sure. Check out my other RD videos for back story.

In regards to those fertilizer pellets… As we know they're slow release and usually last 3 to 6 months..... Put it in there by the grower, and by the time they're transported to sails locations in in-depth in your house it's gonna be about 3 to 6 months… Time for fertilizer pellets to be replaced or looked at as past their prime. I mostly feel indifferent about them when I see them; however if you go with organic fertilizers and such it's not good to mix chemical fertilizers with organics.... So then I would remove them.

My dragons tail plant is growing super weird and now I have to use cups to prop up some of its branches. I might have to cut some pieces off maybe try to propagate them because it can’t stand on it’s own anymore

I have a question that I cannot seem to find an answer to. After I cut back my Decursiva , where will the new growth come in? Is it like the tetrasperma, putting out new points at the nodes?

Yes should be. Ensure you have at least a couple nodes on the piece you are cutting back in order to propagate it (if that’s the your plan)

@@TylerMossop I guess I have to buy a cabinet to contain the humidity. The last time I used a humidifier my base boards were covered with mold. I stopped using one. I have 4 juveniles. One pushed out a new leaf.

Welp now I need one of these! Do you have outdoor plants? I’m in northeast Kansas, zone seven I will believe. Would you do or have you done an outdoor plant post? Or elephant ears, cannas, pansies etc.?

I have a green house and have done a video or two on that! I have a couple of acres that need to be landscaped and planted but I’m most likely a few seasons away from really getting my hands on it! It’s a really dynamic space with a pond and a whole bunch - so in the future I do intend to share all of that 😀
