Am I crazy to think spending 45 minutes with two buckets is a thing of the past? I have gone completely rinseless now and use the waterless for touch ups between weekly washes. I also just did a paint correction and ceramic coating on my brother's Audi SQ5 and went rinseless before the decon and it was flawless. It's SO much quicker and honestly I think the rinseless does a better job than a shampoo. It used to take me nearly two hours to prep a car for paint correction but it took me 45 minutes or so on his and it's a midsize SUV.
Yvan, years ago during your Optimum days you mentioned if people wanted to, for really dirty cars, they could pre-spray the paint with Optimum's waterless wash (called OptiClean I think????), let it dwell and emulsify the dirt, and then wash with ONR. Can we do the same with DIY's waterless wash and DIY Rinsless?
I do both at the same time. I spray the solution on the paint. Then take my microfiber town, dip it into my rinseless solution and clean the paint. Flip it over on the next panel...ect untill i used all 4 sides and dry the 4 panels
As a big fan of the DIYdetail channel, I'd absolutely love to try DIYDetail products, but I don't know how difficult they would be to order to the UK. DIYdetail products are on detailer's radar on the UK forums, and for those who've managed to get hold of them, the consensus is that they are second to none. I've heard that the DIYdetail Rinseless is superior to Absolute, and even ONR.
This off topic but i finally broke down & bought a LC System 4000 pad washer (it was on sale) but I noticed the top ridged drum which you push down to pump water and run the pad over gets stuck and doesn’t pop back up. Is this normal? Would like to know since I’m still within the return period.
Is it safe to put incredible suds and Rinseless wash into my bucket? And if I do a contact wash with those 2 things, you’re saying I don’t have to rinse the car after ?
Hey Yvan, if your car was hit with a bird bomb, would you reach for a spray bottle of DIY Rinseless @ 256:1 or a bottle of Waterless Wash? I'm guessing Waterless Wash, but I wanted to make sure.
So if I’ll dilute rinseless 128:1 or 64:1. Isn’t good waterless? One you said that rinseless is not good detailer. That’s a good small question for the video but I think just because you’ve announced waterless product, we won’t hear the answer. You’re products are awesome but I always suspect everyone. So I guess marketing takes over.
At those high concentrations DIY Detail Rinseless Wash can streak and it’s not great to work with. If a waterless wash was as simple as changing the dilution ratio of DIY Detail Rinseless Wash, we wouldn’t have developed a waterless wash. We don’t believe in having products that are not necessary. Since we don’t white label products, it’s a big investment in R&D to develop products.
