I always loved that organ way in the back of the mix. The song always reminded me of the end of a beautiful sunny afternoon, sitting in a park with my friends with the lowering rays filtering through the trees and just enjoying those last days in the 60s.
25 years ago on a beach in Melbourne Florida I fell in love to this song . One kid later and lots of trials and tribulations and much distance came between us. You are gone now but I still love you.
Yo Chris Matthews from Nygel Miller. You need to remember what Shakespeare said: " It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all" .Personally, I think that we are are winners when we can still have love for anyone, even if we are not actually together. I couldn't be like some people who just want anybody at all, just to have somebody. You might just as well be with an inanimate object!
I know Jimmy is known for using his famous Burst Les Paul & tonight another one as well. but i loved him on his "Dragon Telecaster" he was an animal on that thing, i actually preferred the tone as well..and Jimmy played that thing to perfection, no sloppy performances whatsoever..they were so great those 1st few years..i love the amstermam show where Jimmy has the Dr. Lab coat on ..too cool..
+BundabergPolarbear57 Check out his solo on Thank You in September 71 at Madison Square Garden. Certainly one of his best solos from that time. Brings even more chills than this great one here.
@@chrisramsey3603 This solo was crap and Page is usually crap live. He is an excellent writer in the studio, as an improvisor and as a technical player he's crap
Jimmy & Robert - you have many fans in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. But we are not rich people to pay expensive tickets. if u come here we still can pay u some token. Come before u leave this world
My God I love this! Everything about it gives me chills and butterflies and happiness. Hands down one of my fav zep tunes and definitely my fav version. I want to Thank You!
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me. Kind woman, I give you my all, kind woman, nothing more. Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, tears of loves lost in the days gone by. My love is strong, with you there is no wrong, Together we shall go until we die. My, my, my. An inspiration is what you are to me, inspiration, look to see. And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles, Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one. Happiness, no more be sad, happiness....I'm glad. If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.
I had that experience 4 times. Not Page and Plant but Led Zeppelin. Was 26 when I first saw them back in 1970 I'm 74 now and love them even more than I did back then.
Page -n- Plant tribute tour era was decades experience to perfection. Plant Krause renditions even elite. Truly the best artists ever to take stage.Robert in his 70’s with reduced ability still blow doors off artist.Pride of England…..
I always thought Michael Lee was the best stand-in for John Bonham in any of the LZ/Page-Plant do-overs. He could just capture that Bonzo groove and feel like no one else. Better even than Jason Bonham in my opinion.
So happy I got to see Page and Plant live. I was in 7th grade when the great John Bonham died. I didn't appreciate Zeppelin back then, but my 'stoner' buddy had a ticket to a concert that never happened. So sad (and he got his $25 back - bet he wishes he had that ticket now). Best Rock and Roll band, ever. Love Led Zeppelin!!!!! They to me are the Only One!!!!
This is the last time Page and Plant actually looked like the Page and Plant we knew on stage in the 70's. Same style, moves , hair and sound. Its always intrigued me why JPJ was never even informed that this was going to go down....
yes drums a bit too loud for my tastes (Im mid 50s oh well even w/ hearing loss). Loved this honest real deal performance of a well love favorite LZ tune. "Thanks to you it will be done, because you to me are the only one". Words to live by people, life is short. Love somebody soon.
Rest in peace. He died in 2008 by the epileptic Seizure and was alone at his house. Best replacement for Bonzo.. The bass player Charlie Jones is Robert's son in law..
For me, Page and Plant were not Led Zep. This lacks so much of the soul of Led Zep, it's like a cover. okay I know they're just short of JPJ but he makes the difference.
There are always the few who gotta thumbs down? Who are these people and what planet are they from? Just to think they're out there walking among us is both scary and sad.
