I had the rode video go mic, and absolutely hated it! I switched to a movo mic and truly love it. This seems like a nice upgrade to the previous rode options though. Thanks for the breakdown

My hubby just bought me a Rode VideoMic Pro+ to use with the iPhone and record piano to submit to my teacher. I've worked so hard to learn to play with dynamics and expression that it would be nice to be able to capture this in a recording. I do find the VideoMic Pro sounds a bit more Bassie, or muffled, compared to my Shure MOTIVE MV88. There is no instruction manual for the Robe apparently, as advised from tech support. So I am just wondering if this is the best mic for recording an acoustic piano? I did find that it records in mono, not stereo. Don't know if this makes a difference for piano. Thanks :)

I wish you would have included the settings in the description area. I can barely make them out on screen and I've got an HD screen with your video in ultra HD. Also, since I'm a rookie at sound production, it would have been nice to show your settings from scratch and show us how to make a preset. I like your audio.

Kevin Mask I will probably make a separate video on it but if you pause the video and take a screenshot while it’s an HD you could definitely see the settings. If you look at the bottom left-hand corner there are four settings names. listed and those are the ones you want to pop up on your screen like I did and then try adjusting them. @@OmarHamati I was able to barely make them out... interestingly, it didn't sound great with the me and the room I'm in. No sound dampeners on the wall. Wood floors, vaulted ceiling... So, I'm going to experiment with the sound... Do you have a tutorial on your sound settings and why you chose what you chose? Basically I now need a sound tutorial. I do have Adobe Audition, but in the past I only used it for removing pauses in my videos.
