I had the privilege to meet Roger, I work where he used to live in NYC...the most nicest guy you could ever meet.

Very candid. Always liked Roger. Hope he gets in the Hall sometime.

I was there for his 20 strikeout game vs the Tigers. It was at the old Tiger Stadium. It was a chilly night, maybe 5,000 people were there. I was 15, and a pitcher on my travel baseball team. I'll always regret not getting his autograph that night. Another notable thing about that night was we got to see Nomar Garciaparra playing in that game as a September call up.

One of the Greatest Pitchers of All Time. Should have been in the Hall along time ago.

Roger had me crying from the beginning and I teared up almost all the way through going through half a box of tissues. My childhood idol. My 2 daughters will start softball this year and their numbers will be #21 and #22. Thanks for the memories Joe Buck. I needed this!

Joe Buck is top of the line. He's great and has a totally natural way of speaking to these sports stars without kissing their butts or getting snarky and argumentative. I like him on NFL broadcast cause he and Aikman don't get over analytical like the others which ruin the ambiance of the football game. I think he takes a little que from the great Vin Scully in knowing when to shut up and let the moment of sport speak for itself. His Dad was a world class broadcaster as well so no doubt it runs in his blood.👍💯

Roger, Words don't describe the power pitcher that you are. You are my favorite starting pitcher Of All Time and "the standard" as a way to compare any starter to - as far or however high anyone wants to set the bar = you are at the the top. Your style and pitching form are 2nd to none as you and Andy Pettite are one in the same & at the top of my list. Your style, pitching form & delivery are not the only reasons why you're the greatest; in that your grit, attitude, & will to win all have been over the top since your 1st start on the hill in Bean town. Congratulations on all your historical achievements that you seemed to be on the road to accomplish when you started your career. I kknow that your Father, Mother, Debbie and your sons are all as lifted up for you is I am man. You're the only Hall of Fame baseball player that isn't in the Hall yet. YES, well deserved praise to you on your fantastic career & I will keep my Roger Clemens Bobblehead forever.

Sooner fan here so I didn't like Roger until he got to the majors. Had a friend who was his cousin so that & his dominance helped turn me into a Rocket fan. Put the man in the Hall of Fame!

Rocket is a hero to us BoSox fans. As for the HoF, I think we need to let bygones be bygones and let guys like Clemens in during their lifetimes. 7 Cy Youngs, and at least 3 of them before any hint of PEDs. Let's move on from that era.

Wow, I had no idea the Mets drafted Clemens. Had Clemens signed with the Mets, imagine Gooden and Clemens in the same rotation during the 80s. They would've easily had a dynasty and the best pitching duo in the history of baseball.

Clemens was a fierce competitor. I loved power pitchers too like Nolan Ryan so I’m admittedly biased but there was something about watching him pitch and pump his arm and goat guys. Threw hard inside to keep guys off the plate. Wish he was in the HOF… screw all those hypocrites

I had no idea Roger was pitching at San Jac North on Uvalde Road when I lived in North Share going back and forth almost daily past their baseball field. We even went to at least one game, but that was before any of us knew he was the Rocket.

As a child of the late 80’s Clemens was my fav player..Did he take roids? Maybe..Probably..But think of this..Baseball doesn’t have its all time Hit, HR and arguably its Greatest Pitcher(Clemens,7 CY Young’s) in its Hall Of Fame..It’s embarrassing.There has to be some kind of reconciliation

Hell of a pitcher, tremendous competitor and yet I still don't believe him when he tries to convince people he was clean. When you're that good for that long in Boston and age starts to catchup to you and you realize my best days are likely behind you, you turn to the fountain of youth and I believe that's what he did. Power pitchers in their mid 30's don't improve with age but he did. I can't help but believe he dipped into modern chemistry to get there.

Like everyone else I've found myself having preconceived notions about someone's character and demeanor. With people I've never met or talked to. Especially with actors and athletes. I felt that Roger Clemens was just your normal spoiled arrogant athlete who had little or no regards for fand. Only to find out how wrong I was. We have a single A baseball team affiliated with the Astros where I live. Clemens has a son who played catcher for a year with this team. One time Clemens came with his brother n law came to watch his son play. He wanted to play a round of golf at a course close to the airport. I coincidentally belong to a county club that is maybe five minutes from the airport. Clemens and his brother n law played a round with one of our 50:03 assistant golf pros and another member. Word quickly spread Clemens was playing at our club. Members would go over to the tee or green to get his autograph. Clemens would wait until he greeted or gave an autograph to everyone who came over. After his round was over he stood in front of the pro shop signing autographs and speaking with everyone. This was for a good hour until Clemens brother n law told him they had to leave because their private jet was about ready to be cleared for take off. Everyone he came in to contact with raved what a great guy he was. And in awe how friendly and patient he was. He sincerely showed what a stand up guy he was. If I had a vote l would vote him to enter the HOF in a second

I never liked Roger Clemens as a player. I love him as a person, he's not mumbling when asked tough questions. The love he shows for his relatives is true I can feel it. Help his family financially is the sign of great human being. I wish him the best, love and respect to Roger.

As A Lifetime Astros Fan, I really appreciated Roger Clemens time (although short) pitching for the Houston Astros, he pitched the Astros to their very first World Series, I know fans take that for granted now but at the time, 2005, to me it was a big deal, and he was still a very good pitcher then too

This is a good show by Joe Buck. It's interesting how some of these athletes became successfull. Some were gifted even as a child. But others had to struggle and were lucky to make it in the pro's. All had interesting stories though. He tends to interrupt his guests though.

Roger, in my opinion, was a Hall Of Famer LONG before he ever allegedly took a single shot of juice. Same with Raffy.

The Atlanta Braves recruited heavy in Texas in the early to mid 80s and they missed out on Roger Clemens. They got Ronnie Gant and Kevin Coffman right out of High School. I'm sure they look back and wonder how they missed out on Clemens and Calvin Schiraldi.

I watched Clemens pitch in the College World series at Rosenblat stadium in Omaha Neb when UT won the college world series. I also saw Clemens pitch for the Red Sox a few years later. It really opened my eyes as to how far an elite college grade pitcher has to climb to be an elite MLB pitcher.

Nobody talks about his run he had on the Red Sox where he was clearly his best. He had a few other comparable season in Toronto but I don’t get why people affiliate him with NYY and HOU the most. A shell of himself imo compared to those early years. Should’ve three peated the Cy Young from 90-92. 86 was a crazy good year too

Roger Clemens is arguably the best right handed pitcher to ever play baseball. How David Ortiz is in the hall of fame, but not Roger Clemens is a joke. Clemens has the most Cy Young awards in baseball history (7), he's a all-time great pitcher. He was awesome as a Yankee, and we appreciated him.
