That run against the Rams was one of the best in the history of the NFL. Roger Craig the first 1000 yards rushing & 1000 receiving in the same season, before Marshall Faulk did it. He should be in the Hall Of Fame!!!!
I was at this game. I remember the Rams had the lead at one point 21-17 even into the 4th quarter. I looked at the stats and wondered how they were even in this game at all or why the 49ers didn't have at least a 10-14 pt. lead. The 49ers killed them in yards rushing 40att. for 245yds. to 17att. for 42. Total yards 429 to 236. Plus the Rams had 4 turnovers vs. 49ers 2 Still the Rams could have won this game but Craig gets those knees going...tough to tackle for sure.
I know I'm not crazy but there was a commercial I think promoting Chevy and starting at 0:22, this was one of the clips (I think the clip before was Hank Stram pumping his fist). I loved the commercial and the narrator. I've seen this run before but it looked so awesome in that commercial. Anyone have a that commercial?
49ers running back, Roger Craig makes six Rams defenders fail to tackle him. Craig scores a touchdown on a 46 yard run. Craig's overall effort is 22 carries, 190 yards, and three touchdowns. 24-21 49ers!!!
Future RB's run like this and i bet guys will have to think twice how to tackle you. Roger was probably paranoid of getting tackled at the legs and breaking something which is why he high kicked. I use to do this when i was a kid and im small so even harder to bring me down plus i had great low balance. You could toss me but i was not going down, everyone had that little dude who played with them. Sucks thou taller guys went to play ball in HS and College and i had memories of when we were kids.
