Happy thanksgiving to all my American subscribers!🎉I’ve never celebrated thanksgiving before so let me know what you guys are doing today so I can live vicariously through you!!😂🥰
Hawkeye takes place in 2025, 2 years after Endgame,. it is the furthest we've seen in the MCU (Not counting the End of Time or Alabama 2050 in Loki), it takes place after a few things that haven't even come out yet.
They most probably got through their money problems. I mean, they own a really great business/company. With "Bishop Security"? Yeah, those "problems" at the start were definitely temporary, and also, it's not Kate Bishop if she's not rich. Being rich was one of the most defining qualities of her character in the comics. Great reaction by the way!
That’s trueeee but I still think it’s going to be a huge plot point because otherwise what was the point of introducing the story with the money problems? Something sus going on🤔 And thank you!
@@MonicaCatapusan I think mom used the Battle of New York to remove dad from the equation. She then used the insurance money to work her way out of that financial hole. That said we have established that she didn't grow up rich so she may have some other skillsets as well.
13:45 in the comics Jack is known as Swordsman, and in the comics he was the guy who trained young Clint so I wonder if this will be mentioned in this series
The reason he may not have started out deaf is because in the comics Clint was deafened at a later stage. I believe he had temporary deafness as a child as well. He was deafened well into his Superhero career.
Oh I see. I mean if that’s really the reason then okay but I always got the sense that they chose to not include it deliberately. Much like how they didn’t include Peeta’s fake leg from the Hunger Games movie
@@MonicaCatapusan Definitely could be the reason. But to be fair Hawkeye hasn't gotten a lot of attention in the MCU so it would almost feel wrong to have a deaf character in the background.
You got it right. The timeline for Hawkeye is apparently immediately after Shang Chi so it's Christmas 2024 I believe? A year and 3 quarters after Endgame I believe
actually the year is 2025 bc it was confirmed by the producers themselves 2 years have past since Endgame Also I’m not trying to say I’m better or anything.
11:20 LOL I almost choked on my milk tea with rainbow jelly 🤣🤣🤣 (also yes im binge watching your reactions hehe :D Salamat for your amazing and funny videos!!)
Yeah, that guy in the bathroom at the theater definitely violated the bro code a few times there. You always leave a space at the urinal when possible, you don't talk in the bathroom, you don't start a conversation when your junk's out, and you don't try and talk to someone when their junk is out. Also, eyes forward at the urinal.
An explanation of Hawkeye's deafness in comics and why it wasn't used back when they first introduced his character into the MCU: When Hawkeye was created in 1964 the character was not deaf and was in no way was his hearing impaired and he stayed that way for nearly 20 years of comics. In 1983 Hawkeye's first solo limited series was released and in the final issue he sacrificed his own hearing to save the day. It was accepted in canon for over a decade that Clint was hearing impaired, however it was also rarely acknowledged. In 1996 a comic event happend called Heroes Reborn, it's too convoluted to recap, but the universe gets remade and Clint no longer has hearing issues. His deafness is largely forgotten about and remains that way for another nearly 2 decades. In 2011/2012 when he is introduced into the MCU it's just not something people associate with the character. It's not like the omitted something, at that time in comics he wasn't deaf and he wasn't know for being so. His time not being deaf is far more substantial than his time being deaf. 2014 rolls around and we're in the middle of Hawkeye's most successful comic series ever and the writer being a fan of that 80s limited series decides he wants to bring that back to the character and this time do it proper justice. Clint again gets damage to his ears only this time it's inflicted by the villain, but also it retroactively introduces the idea that Clint also experienced damage to his hearing as a kid due to abuse from his father creating the idea that Clint has suffered repeated damage which neatens the on and off nature of his deafness. Then thanks to the incredible art of David Aja we get a whole issue from Clint's deaf perspective with tones of sign language and blank speech bubbles. This run of the comics was a massive inspiration to this show making it the natural place to introduce Clint loosing his hearing.
My first thought is that Kate’s father; Derek Bishop is still alive as we never see his death onscreen nor his dead body. The Bishops were facing severe financial pressure at the start of this Pilot Episode and might have to sell their posh penthouse in order to keep afloat. During the 2012 Chitauri Invasion, Derek faked his own death so that his wife would then claimed his life insurance money. The online rumor is that Eleanor Bishop is the Marvel comics version of Madame Masque. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk @ Kingpin shall appear by the end of this Season 1 as Echo’s adopted father @ Uncle. The watch was recovered amidst the Avengers Compound rubble when Thanos’ Army bombed it in “Avengers: Endgame”. Jack did not seemed surprised at all when the Tracksuit Mafia raided the underground auction. Like he knew it was going to happen. In fact, he took the opportunity to pocket the much coveted Ronin retractable sword during the commotion.
This is taking place December 2024, one year from the events of Endgame. It is the latest in time of everything we have scene so far. Spiderman Far From Home was the previous latest in time (Summer of 2024)
Feige is obviously setting up the Young Avengers in the MCU. Cassie Lang from Ant-Man: Stature Billy and Tommy from Wandavision: Wiccan and Speed Eli Bradley from Flacon and the Winter Soldier: Patriot And of course Kate Bishop from this show. Ant-Man is in the musical because in the comics, he was one of the original Avengers.
Yess some marvel content are back!! I love how you always find something relevant to the episode and how you explain things for everyone bout the episode! ❤️💗
I think Mom Bishop is bad, if Jack is the Swordsman he might be bad and turns good. I'm not sure he killed his family member. I also love this version of Kate Bishop b/c with all of her training, she's like a combination of Hawkeye and Black Widow without being an assassin or double agent! I have to admit that the start seems slow, but I love Hailee so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt :-)
(10:27) Hawkeye takes place in December of 2023, just two months after Avengers: Endgame. While WandaVision takes place a few weeks after Endgame, TFATWS takes place in March 2024 and Spider-Man: Far From Home MCU timeline takes place in June 2024
actually, there's people saying Hawkeye takes please 2 years after endgame (so 2025), especially vc of that quote of the journalist saying nobody saw Ronim in years, and he was still active in endgame
The show produces conformed that this show takes place nearly 2 years after endgame.. in the show it's mentioned Ronin hasn't been around for years so it's definitely not after 2 months.. Also it's rumored that spiderman no way home although will Pickup where it left which is 8 months after endgame it will at the end jump and catch up with hawkeye show timeline.. then dr strange multiverse of madness take place which would mean it would be after 2 years of wanda vision ..
I come to see you sing the Marvel intro and stay for your commentary.💗 Can't wait to see your thoughts on the next episode! I believe the year is 2025.
@8:35, Its funny that they have Hawkeye pointing out that Ant Man wasn't there for the Battle of New York. In the comics, the original Avengers who fought Loki were Ant Man, Wasp, Thor, Hulk and Iron Man. Captain America and Hawkeye joined the roster much later
I was confused about the watch as well, and then I rewatched a clip from Civil War where Tony (sans suit) attempted to stop the Winter Soldier from escaping.
2:45 Solar Opposites was actually created by Justin Roiland who made Rick and Morty so you were right! I def recommend checking it out. Love your channel! I found you through your Encanto video and now I'm going through all your vids lol
Jacques in the comic books is a villain who eventually turns good. Echo started out as an assassin for Kingpin until she found out that Kingpin lied to her about her father's death, then she became a hero/vigilante. She even became Ronin for a time. Clint is hard of hearing, but Echo is completely deaf. Echo is a Daredevil character, and Daredevil is blind. The guy who took his mask off is Kazi, the MCU ripoff of Joker.
Clint aside from his amazing skills is just a normal human being. He isn't like Cap, Hulk or Thor so his body won't just almost instantly heal damage. As a gun owner I can definitely say ear protection is a must. I once accidentally experienced a couple of seconds of unfiltered firearms noise on an enclosed range in just one ear. That ear was ringing for about a year. So all of the unmuffled explosions and gunfire Clint has experienced over the years add up. I'm always surprised at how blasé filmmakers are on how much noise firearms make. So in a way this is a nice little PSA for people to be more proactive in protecting their hearing.
@5:20, its a Marvel and Disney property so you know a parental character passing will be a plot point. Its cliche but most coming of age stories always have it.
trivia fun fact : 01 in the musical Thor was played by Cris Evans :)))) 02 her mother is a villan 03 kingpin is set to make a apearance 04 packed with many many other ester eggs
GJ on the reaction. And yes react to the rest of Hawkeye. I thought the mom killed him for threating her. Only time will tell. You know what they say don't make threats you can't deliver on. And in the comics somebody usually dies after a threat. Moves the story along.
When your in a public toilet you are supposed to start on the edges then the middle and you never go the ones between that’s for decoration like this ✅❌✅❌✅
I think the dad dying is a way to get out of debt with life insurance. There was people that got away with insurance Fraud for 9/11 and there was one person (at least) that got away with murder. So my thought is mom killed dad and Armand 3 but her future husband is giving off vibes as well. I liked this episode sets it up nicely for the next one, and doesn't give to much away.
Here is my lovely angel sharing her pretty face with her interesting critique of creative content but how you have not reacted to Arcane. Netflix latest hot show this is now number one across the world with good reason its the best animation since Spiderverse but maybe better because of the very detailed dedication by the creators of this show. I can't wait for your emotional roller-coaster in following these well flushed out characters. I love your reactions to Marvel content but this Arcane world can ravil the Marvel world if these creators keep telling stories like they have this first season. I was thrown off about Clinton's son as well lol
I enjoy your MCU reactions, and while this is the least rewatchable of the MCU shows so far, I came in just to enjoy your reaction to it. So I'm up for more of your reactions to this show. Thanks.
They can but they wouldn’t have our introduction to the story as their money problems if it wasn’t going to be relevant to the rest of the plot. There’s something else going on for sure
