I totally forgot this dude was a fighter at some point and I was just randomly looking up big country videos. This gave me so much goddamn serotonin I might not have to smoke any more weed tonight.
I, to this day, think that it was completely unfair for a ranked Heavyweight in Roy Nelson to go on the the ultimate fighter with guys that have less than 12 fights.
Having a dude with a big gut that people would doubt made for a fun dynamic on the show though. Most people probably thought Roy was just some ordinary fat dude while they watched the season.
At the start of the season Roy was already a former world champion in the IFL. Before his first fight against Kimbo the other fighters are talking about how it should be on a PPV card if not a main event on a fight night event.
Haha I've just finished watching TUF season 10 and thought I'd post the final fight. I'm thinking of posting a few seasons on here so people can watch them, as long as I don't get hit with copyright lol.
In hindsight, Schaub had no business being in there with Nelson, a decorated black belt with 15 fights vs a guy with a few years experience and only 4 professional fights. Brendan showed decent athletic ability, but ultimately his skillset wasn't very polished, very clumsy combinations and defense.
My favourite fight in professional fighting history. Schaub is such a prick, picking on smaller RU-vid channels for mocking him while calling himself a comedian. I love watching him get his ass kicked by a big fat man.

Can we all agree that whenever a fighter hears the words “Your judges are” and then the name “Cecil Peoples” is one of the names they say that all of the fighters are prolly sitting there in their mind saying “Well I definitely need to finish this fight and get it over with and not let it go to the judges so I don’t get robbed.” Cause Cecil has always been shiii on by fighters and everyone in the UFC for having some of the worst cards in the history of UFC judges lol.
not for nothin that was pretty crazy how shaub just lifted nelson right off of him like that. that's not something you see often. most guys gotta like creep over to the cage and just try and nudge their way up. honestly shaub was a good fighter
He did have a good coach… actually two of them. That’s Trevor Wittman and Greg Jackson in his corner at the begging on the video. Trevor coaches Justin Gaethje, Kamaru Usman, and Rose Namajunas. And Greg Jackson coaches Jon Jones.. and use to coach Rashad Evans. So it’s deff not the coach problem lol
I just dont understand how Schaub doesnt see that right hand before Nelson throws it. Hes completely loading up on it, and Brendan does nothing to defend it. Wide open.
Schaub kept his left hand low this whole fight. Nelson threw the double jab, which caused Schaub to turn away (which he was doing to strikes the whole fight to that point for most part) and then threw the right, which Schaub wasn't expecting
This was by far the best season, Best possible coaches they could get for the show, real tension between the two whole season. Some great guys like Kimbo Slice and Marcus "The Darkness". Never expected Roy to win this. Huge ups to Brendan to push that giants off him even during the last fight with The Darkness! quite unfortunate. I know Dana really wished Brendan finished Roy and it sure looked like that when he came out of the takedown.
Is it me or is it super ironic that as soon as Mike Goldberg laughs and says "You should be a comedian" (To joe rogan), Schaub gets knocked out and loses 🤣🤣 Almost foreshadowing Schaubs future Although it turned out he's not a good comedian, well..... neither is Joe Rogan to be fair lmao
