Blanket training is literally breaking your child form being a CHILD. Josh you are right, parents that do this are lazy and horrible.

Bonnie is convinced that SHE is the real victim in all of this, and she is PISSED at any threat to her income stream. She is completely self-absorbed.

Bonnie is so stressed about the perfect façade she’s put on for the world being exposed for what it really is she’s totally trying to cover her tracks while also making sure she can still live her lavish lifestyle. I’m so glad you covered this video. There is no way you can blanket train as a gentle parent like she’s trying to portray here NO WAY

This is the same woman who shut her newborn up all night, didn’t feed him because she wanted to sleep. Didn’t use a baby monitor bc she wanted to sleep, then cried when her doctor diagnosed said newborn as Failure To Thrive (malnutrition.) She’s awful and makes everything about her as you can see. I’m convinced Ellie moved to St George to escape Bonnie.

Debbie and Michale Pearl’s book gives horrific detail on how to blanket time. It’s disgusting!!! I’m with you there is absolutely NO reason to ever hurt a child.

Can you imagine being a young child, going to the doctor, which may already create anxiety for you, and the person who is supposed to be your comfort, is also a person you fear?! Not only do these kids have to deal with being anxious of just going to their doctor appointments, but also have to fear the wrath of their mom if they "disobey" her during that appointment.

Bonnie and Rubys parents need to start answering some questions as to why all of their kids parent this way. Chances are they too abused all of their own kids.

Bonnie is cruel. Joel is weak. He is very afraid of the "wrath of Bonnie." He's just as bad because he goes along with everything she says and does to those kids. Wonder if she used blanket training for Joel?

She says their only on blanket time for an hour but also says they do it throughout the day when she’s cooking dinner, reading, phone calls and bills and at church

I was mentally and physically abused as a child when I had to live in Foster care and then with my grandparents for a while, and the trauma I still have to this day is sad. I’m pregnant with my first and through past experiences and watching Josh’s videos, I’m learning so much on how to raise my child right.

She's only cleaning that window so we cam see the view from that window and I could care less about her view. Does she not realize she's being looked at under a microscope now?

As a SAHM I've been doing everything I can to baby/toddler proof my entire house so my child can move and get their energy out and explore. These people should not be breeding!!

Bonnie, Ruby, and Ellie all have severe mental problems. I followed them all for years, and stopped because the Griffith girls have major issues. Something had to have been very wrong with their parents when these girls were growing up. I don’t buy the goodie two-shoes act of Grandma and Grandpa Griffith. They raised very selfish daughters.

I looked up blanket training when I heard about it on Bonnie's channel and watched her do it to her baby. IT IS CHILD ABUSE, PURE AND SIMPLE! Any parent who engages in it should be in prison - especially Ruby's sisters and parents. Abusive parents create abusive children, and so on ad infinitum I thought I was angry with Ruby and Kevin - but I am equally outraged by her disgusting sisters

I cannot with Bonnie commenting on the doctors and nurses saying her kids were so still. Every time we went somewhere growing up, my parents would get “compliments” on how “good” we were. We sat there quiet and still just like Bonnie’s kids. And now at 39 years old, I still struggle daily with the ways that my parents got us to be so “good”. I was raised by a total narcissist, and appearance was everything…but inside our home was absolutely horrible.

I used to watch Bonnie everyday for years until I realized how abusive she is with her children. Please keep exposing her! She needs to be locked up too!!

It makes me sick that I used to watch these people. Children being abused for entertainment. I grew up Mormon and these people seemed normal to me because I knew people just like them. Bonnie is truly despicable.

I rarely comment on what people SHOULD say, but instead of Bonnie whining, it would be great if she talked about her experience from the viewpoint of what she's learned -- what to look for if you suspect abuse is happening, strategies to help, what she would do differently and how she plans to support Ruby's children going forward. It would be helpful and strong. Bonnie, let the situation be about the children not about you. It's not about you.

It’s sad when children are being expected to manage their feelings and are expected to act like an adult. The influencer mom culture is toxic.

To be honest this attitude towards children is not just Bonnie's idea, it is heavily influenced by the LDS church. When I was growing up in it children acting age appropriate was heavily discouraged and many parents do train their kids to sit for hours quietly. By the time I was 4 years old sitting still for hours while listening to old guys talk at the pulpit was easy for me. Everyone at church would praise me for it but at school my teachers saw it as a sign of abuse. I used to sit with my Dad through church meetings for at minimum 3 hours every Sunday till I made the choice at 18 to leave.

I've been saying this all along. Bonnie is a horrible parent as well. That blanket training crap is terrible. She is not good to her kids either.

My mom got severely depressed after having my fourth sibling and she invited an older woman from church to come and help her. My mom was in bed for hours a day and this older church lady literally tried to blanket train us. I was 9 and my older sisters were 11 at the time. Imagine being that age and not having any liberty to move around your own home. Ugh. I was so glad when she left

This blanket time is like putting her kids in timeout all damn day! Most believe timeout, which is a punishment, is 1 min per yrs of age. She even leaves them there longer ‘if they’re being good’?! WTF with these sisters? Her first video (that she removed) claimed they’ve tried & tried to help her nieces & nephews. Her next vid she said they had no idea it was happening. 🙄 They’re all selfish & greedy at the expensive of innocent kids! I hope CPS looks into all of them! The child submits as a result of blanket training because there is learned helplessness. Learned helplessness has been researched by psychologists for decades and you may have learned about the dog in a cage study in psychology 101 classes. When an animal, humans included, believe that they can’t win in a situation, they stop trying. The child undergoing blanket training submits because they have just given up. If you listen to what Bonnie says in this video, she justifies blanket training because “kids will learn anything if you just teach them and you stay consistent”. This is her justifying the blanket training even though she started the video by saying the more appropriate (my words) methods she was trying weren’t successful. Beat a child down enough mentally and they just give up and that’s why blanket training works. Not because she is a good parent.

That poor little kid in the back in Bonnie's blanket video was heartbreaking. She was sucking the spirit right out of him and turning him into a perfect little humanoid. The whole family is whacked.

I remember this video and it always shocked me. The little baby in the back Boston is now 10ish years old and I’ve seen videos of him being very jumpy/ nervous about extremely small issues. Clearly a fear of how Bonnie will react. I also remember a video of rubys little boy Russell hysterically crying because he broke a plate… no big deal, total accident. But not to that little boy. The fear in him was a huge sign of what consequence was ahead of him when filming stopped. These poor kids 😢

Thank you for bringing this up with Bonnie's blanket training!! If you read about the "method", you know that it is pure and simple child abuse. It breaks children's natural instinct of exploration and teaches them blind obedience, which is dangerous.

Wow, Grandma and Grandpa Griffiths (Ruby’s, Bonnie’s, Ellie’s mom and dad) aren’t posting, and it seems a bunch of their vlogs have been removed.

Ever since the grand parents started sharing old home movies, the grandpa has given me real bad vibes. You could tell the kids were very scared of him. He once pulled Julie's arm so hard I'm surprised he didn't do damage.

I am 36, I have a 3 year old boy and 13 year old daughter. No spankings. My daughter is amazing, kind, honest, takes up for those being bullied. I'm so glad you don't spank. I got more than my fair share in the 90s. It's traumatizing.

The most important bond a child can have is with his mother and father. I don't even want to think about being an innocent child and living in fear and not being able to have your own mother's protection and care and bonus - your whole life on the internet. Ok I can’t get over the blanket time issue. “Don’t play with them….” SHAME ON HER. Don’t be surprised when these children have issues. My friend did hard core “training” on/with her son starting the minute he was born and his emotional IQ was/is stunted at the age of 21… STILL. It was the saddest thing I had ever seen. She was like this female!! And what’s even more sad is there is physical evidence because his head is incredibly flat. She refused helmet out of pride… so sad. So she had 4 more 🙄 all with the signs of “I wasn’t held as a baby”

She’s so much sadder for herself than the victims. That crying speech is weird. Real sadness does not sound like that. Bonnie might learn that prayer rarely helps a situation when severe sa is ongoing in many RU-vid family channels. Blanket training is like crate training, needed with dogs, but not infants.

Do you know she used to have a mother's helper when her kids were younger. This woman would do everything for Bonnie - take care of the kids, clean the house, shop. She fails to mention this though. She should be investigated next.

When I watched it originally years ago, i had been raised going to catholic school and I was too young to know how abusive this actually is. Bonnie also has many videos where she claims her kids went to bed without eating and then her a joel got take out. Wild.

Thank you for what you said about spanking. Our children are 18 and 20. We never once spanked them, threatened them, said derogatory things. My brother and I were abused by my very scary dad and my mother loved every moment of it. PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT SPANK YOUR CHILDREN. It is hitting a child to inflct physical pain and fear. Im so sick 🤢 f hearing about "the cycle of abuse". It is each parent's CHOICE. My kid have never been in trouble, to this day, neither of them have taken a drug or had a drink, both straight A students in university. No, they are not weirdo's. They are both gorgeous, tall, thin, funny, have lots of friends. They have turned out this way because we have not emotionally traumatized them or given them any childhood bagage.

My uncle had a dog who was trained to go to a specific rug when told. The dog would occasionally stretch his legs out to be off just a little & he'd look to see if he was seen. The dog never ever received punishment but was praised for doing what he was told. These people aren't even treating their babies as well as a dog.

This reminds me of the extreme applied behavior analysis I went through as a young adult with autism. They would give us electric shocks if we got out of our seats. I have to go to therapy now and I have nightmares

If children are being abused, and children are everywhere, I believe it is better to catch the perpetrators than it continue behind closed doors. For every one caught there are hundreds still committing child abuse.

32:28 yeah, not cool at all. Now I’m pissed like Josh. I’m a nurse, no longer working as such but I did for many years. Specially, as a pediatric nurse, I worked mostly in the hospital setting but also in a pediatrician office. A parent like her would infuriate me, I would be able to spot her a mile away. When parents instill fear in their children, threaten them, make them afraid of doctor’s offices, doctors, nurses, etc…I just can’t stand it. I’ve had parents say, right in front of me, but also when the door closes (and I can still hear, mom ears are powerful!) “if you don’t behave, that nurse is going to give you a shot!” and then the already fearful child goes from freaking out to next level freaking out and crying and screaming when they see me. 😠 Then there is the “when we get home….” That’s always a winner! We reach new freak out terrified levels with that one, the child is then afraid of me (and everyone in scrubs) AND going home, which SHOULD be their safe place. Strong work parent of the year. 🏆 Rant over, for now
