This was lost footage. Seriously. I lost it. But, I found it! Here is the complete install of my snorkel on OVERCLOCK3D. I did this back in December of 2015. I have changed a lot on the Jeep since then, but one thing remains... and that's this snorkel. I still really like this thing. This video has no commentary. I'd consider it as a supplement to the install guide. You can find the guide at:

The only part I found intimidating was cutting the fender... I took a LOT longer on this install which you made look super simple...

Looking at the vented hood video and this one. In wondering why the manufacturer would make a metal tube to go close to the hottest part of the help engine? Or is it not close?

excellent video! I hope this question still reaches you. So I have a 2018 JKU and just ordered the RR XHD snorkel. My question is will I have to remove the fender flare and skirt to remove the metal fender. I also run bushwhacker flares. Thanks in advance!

Have you considered running the K&N sealed air box with this setup? I saw a few posts about it on the forums and it's on the bucket list. The airbox is obviously the weak link in the setup. Besides the snorkel drain valve that cracks after 3 years (and is not available as a serviceable part LOL).

did you see any difference in temperature of engine whilst running or engine coolant temperature even running a bit cooler with this?

Wow CPO that snorkel looks 100x better. And I wish my engine look like that. Hehe I want to go trails and get dirty. I just need to beef up my axle covers and go from 4.10 to 4.88 with the 37" I'm getting soon. Sorry I'm talking too much now. I still haven't run into you here in MD, but once I do I'm gonna wave and scream CPO!. Lol hahahaha. AGAIN GREAT VIDEO

There are some decent snorkels that run along the hood.... Not sure if that is something you'd like.

I get that question a lot! LOL I'm sad to report that these are Bartact. I'm not sad because they're Bartact, I'm just sad that they decided they're not going to manufacture them. I was one of about three testing sets made, in orange of course specific for my build, and I was planning on doing an install video for them. However, they ran into manufacturing issues and decided to halt the project. So I actually can't tell you where to get them....

I wonder does the JL low mount snorkel fit into the JK? The JL is so easy to install and I think it looks much better

Looks to me like Dremel but you can buy also cheaper brand on Amazon.I got Tacklife for about $30 and it’s great!Works like sharm.You can do all small rottary jobs.

Kevin no a snorkel is a complete waste. If you really need a snorkel you need to to do way more than anybody ever does to water proof you JEEP. And to say it betters airflow to any degree that matters is a complete lie !!

This particular snorkel you are either going to love or hate but that’s just personal preference, unknown to a lot of people, like the post above, snorkels also help draw in cleaner air in dusty conditions and will help the JKs with their ridiculous factory airbox position. Does it mean you are a submarine and can forge 6ft rivers no, but it will help in certain situations
