This entire thing sounds like if a whole Minecraft server with a couple hundred players attempted to do a mass role playing event where they're reenacting World War 2, except everyone has only a vague understanding of history. Only 1/3rd of players is genuinely trying, the other 1/3rd is just trolling, and the other 1/3rd doesn't care and they're just doing their own thing.
