***** Neal almost did the same thing w Roland remember n 3A, he used Roland as bait to get Pan's shadow to Rumple's castle, ofc w Robin's permission. But still, that was stupid on Neal's part. Making the shadow think, Roland was Henry was stupid, all bc he wanted to help Emma&Co save Henry in Neverland. But at least Henry is dating a girl his own age, its young love so noone better mess that up. Violet is the best thing that's ever happened to him, just wish he went back to school and stop getting himself invovled with his family drama in every episode. Why, bc Jared is almost 16-17 now, Henry is still been treated like a 12y/o from S3, he should be 14 by now. Writers have treated his sidelife w Violet as him growing up from been that kid who hated magic, now he has embraced it even more since he became The Author. Sidenote, his family have to stop treating him like a kid, he has a girlfriend now, he gets himself into trouble, when SQ&SW put up these walls and boundaries just ot keep him safe. altho, mirrorHenry is the villain version we're ever gonna get from SBHenry, so until the writers stop making his parents, soon2bstepdad &grandparents treat him like a kid, Henry would b in that hormonal puberty stage by now, since Jared already went through his change in 3B that didn't take long. Now Jared's height is another thing, he's just as tall as Lana&JMo now. The main characs are all over the place, but Jared's the only on who actually gets a stroyline where it involves someone thats not his family, but a distraction for him to have fun and have some normalcy of been a teenager whos dating a camelot's knight's daughter.
Yeah I kinda see rumple in a new light now I'm still angry that he keeps doing the wrong thing and messing up with Belle but it looks like he was destined to mess up his life

Neal survived alone for several centuries in Neverland, then became the only one who left the island without Pan's permission, without owning magic. And he also raised his father.
Neals dead. Hes safe. Think abt Henry's holidays. That boys family tree is blown out of proportion. And he has 4 family sides. Maternal, paternal, adoptive and marriage. Yikes
I love how the writers made the entire story of Once Upon a Time a consequence of Rumple's existence. All that happened was because of him and his family.
Not just Henry´s family. Just walking on the streets on storybrooke must be Akward, seing people who tried to kill you few weeks ago, kidnapped your baby, tried to murder you, put curse on storybrook (Thrice) I honestly think that the whole town of Storybrook needs some serious therapy sessions
In the fairytale a big part of rumplestilkins story was made up of people trying to figure out his name so its fitting that in OUAT his mother never named him
@@littlesongbird1it started out as the mom believing a prophecy that a great evil was destined to kill her son. So she went after every child born in the year it was said to begin. Little by little she became darker cause of the children she targeted. If you haven't seen far enough to learn rumpled original destiny and what happen I wont spoil it.
I especially love the touch of manic in there. Seems like the actress was pulling a little from Rumple's character. Not just in the body language, but particularly her tone.

@Megarainbow Except Pan wasn't always a child. He and Fiona were adults when they were married and had Rumple. He turned into a child later on using magic.
Peter Pan having a son with a fairy. Why does that sound weird to you? To me it seems fitting also fate wants him as an villain throwing whatever they can at him to break, if he didn't become the dark one he'd be dead, and we'd have someone else as the villain, heck maybe Emma would have never become the saviour.
Audrey van der Meij It's a drama in its 6th season did you expected it to be simple, in any way? The better question how did Rumble's father managed to score with a fairy? He didn't rely seemed the best material for anything, but who knows maybe her leaving him turned him into that or was a one time thing, i suspect alchohol and a lot of lies.
"funny that the Dark One should ask such a thing, sometimes you have to choose power over love... "-that is exactly what he did with Baelfire, and exactly what Pan did with him! Turns out his mother too! He did it again too with the second son(kind of, though not intentionally this time.) Talk about coming full circle.
The difference is that Rumple raised & loved Baelfire. In 1 moment he made a mistake which he tried to fix for 300+ years. Even Emma didn't look for Henry.
So, Rumplestiltskin saying that he is a difficult man to love....he's not talking about "yeah, I'm a monster", he honestly believes that no one can ever love him. So, he feels he's twice cursed because love is denied him so, with or without meaning to, he makes sure that he does all he can to make himself unloved in a self fulfilling curse.
I've found Rumple's flip-flopping between good guy and villain to be annoying over the course of the show, but I understand him better now that I know both of his parents didn't care anything about him. At least Rumple cared about Baelfire, despite letting him go in that portal by himself. He had Regina cast the curse so he could try to find him.
@@Anonymous-iz2uq And I posted that before the episode aired where we find out Fiona's past. Now I know she did care and went to any length to save him, but it corrupted her and turned her completely dark.
That's the writers fault for being inconsistent with his character and not settling on whether they want him to be a villain or redeemed so kept hopping back and forth between the two
Well if you think about it it makes sense, Pan and this fairy lady have a lot in common, stealing children and babies, being overly confident and fearless, plus that power over love thing that apperantly runs in the family. Still, what do you know, Peter Pan dated a fairy, wouldn't expect anything less XD
When Rumple s father was still a boy, he visited never land and met a child fairy (her) They left Neverland and got married. She was a normal fairy....at first

Pan never dated a fairy. That was just Fiona. And Fiona dated Malcom, not Pan. They both went bad once they lost each other. Heh. Power over love is right.
Sarah Hinkson I know. I now understand Rumple a bit better. I already felt bad for him knowing Malcolm/Peter Pan didn't love him and saw him as a burden, but to know that Rumple's mother didn't care about him either makes me look at him and see it as an impressive feat that he can genuinely care about anyone (like he did for Baelfire and Belle).
When I first saw this I flipped out so bad then my Brain had to process that Peter Pan and the Black Fairy had a kid then I began to think "Geez, Rumple had daddy issues and mommy issues."

Blanca Rosales Exactly! That's always been my take on the whole Rumbelle drama. Unfortunately, way too many OUaT fans place all the blame on Belle. They both have messed things up in their own ways, but Rumple is the one at fault most of the time, and she really has given him so many chances to turn around with her help. He's just made it harder on himself by refusing, and now he's going to have to do the turning around on his own.
I genuinely liked the black fairy, even though her appearance was brief, she was a pretty interesting character. I hope she's in future episodes because I'm getting a little bored with the show in general atm.
If you look back in episode 3x11 "Coming Home" Tinkerbelle stated that Blue exiled her and took her wand. I believe that Rumple's mom was banished to the Land Of Untold Stories so her villainous plans don't play out. I wonder what her plans were. Just in this episode and the one following this one we're starting to get bits of the Rumple we loved during the first 3 seasons. Look who his parents are. He basically followed in their footsteps. Come on Rumple its not to late to break the pattern!
I just now noticed that the black fairy is supposed to be the wicked fairy who cursed the beast They really took that beauty and the beast thing seriously didn’t they? However, in the original book Belles mother was also a fairy, and belle had to be put under maurice’s custody in order to protect her from the wicked fairy Can you imagine how powerful it would’ve been if they worked with that a little bit? If there was some big reveal that the black fairy orchestrated the ogre war, the war that killed Belles mother and thus caused the very thing that first brought them together in the first place, rumple having to deal with that knowledge and despite Belle’s insistence that their love is real and that they were destined for one another, he’s still left wondering if meeting her was just part of mommy’s master plan somehow Meanwhile both in the interest of protecting her son and in light of new information that the black fairy is responsible for her mother’s death, Belle is on a path of revenge which could lead to a nice role reversal where *rumple* is the one trying to keep *Belle* away from the dark And blue being such a bitch to rumple could’ve been in the interest of keeping a promise made to a fellow fairy . . . to protect her daughter
My prediction time....Killian is also the son of the black fairy, making him and Rumple half brothers (why not make the family tree even more weird LOL)

They are not alike! Rumple dedicated his life to finding Bae and gave his life and sanity trying to save him and put himself in Zelena's power! He loved Bae more than anything, and now he's lost the only person left alive he believes can love him.

yes, he didn't have sex and had Rumple as Peter, he was Malcolm at the time. There was a flashback in season 3 where adult Malcolm and very little Rumple are together and then then Malcolm abandones him.

I love the Black Fairy. Maybe it's just the actress' portrayal of her but she's just..... whee!!!! Especially how she pretended to regret leaving him then just goes into 'nah idgaf sorry bruh' Also it's nice to see that terrible parenting runs in the family. And Rumple spent 200 years dwelling on his mommy issues? Damn move on. Get a hobby. And 'no one knows anything about my pain'- the entire main cast and half the guest stars had it a lot harder than he did!
When I saw in season 3, that pan was Rumple’s dad, I kept saying “ya own son!!!” every time pan threatened his son. I said the exact same thing in this reveal.
She became a fairy after his birth but he was meant to be the saviour so he had powers until his mother screwed him over because of her selfish nature and over protectiveness
This legit doesn't matter to me now, The writing has been bad the past few seasons and season 5 was dreadful and had the opportunity to be really, really good but whatever.
Edward West-Summers just felt so random and rushed, I like the snow queen but her plan to make emma and elsa her "sisters", it was just odd lols felt like edward and Adam rushed that arc and tossed in random ideas
Queen of darkness was worse to me. (Ursula's out the door after only four episodes, and other random stuff.) the one good thing to come out of that arc was the casting of cruella. it was like she stepped out of the movie.
Edward West-Summers loooved cruella, the actress was amazing. and would've been neat snow as the evil queen for a few more episodes, her bit as a villain didn't last as long as I was hoping, it was a nice twist
There've been rumors for a while that OUAT will dive further into a "Tangled" storyline (meaning more than just Rapunzel). Those same rumors involve this episode, & they say that Mother Gothel might be the Black Fairy/Rumple's mom.
It is REALLY weird seeing her like this when she was still loving towards her son when she was about to be banished. Makes you wonder if she ever loved her son after becoming a fairy.
I can remember first seeing this, I was lying on the floor watching it on my TV and this scene was on, I can remember saying ‘no’ in between laughs and gasps. The first twist that actually made me freak out
This revelation just makes me wonder, if Rumple's parents are Peter Pan and The Black Fairy, why did he need to become The Dark One again after Emma and Hook banished the darkness from themselves. Surely he has magic through biological means with fairy blood running through his veins.
Emma and Killian did not destroyed the darkness. Merlin told her, if she brought him back it would multiply the darkness, create something even Excalibur could not destroyed. This season we learn, you cannot destroy darkness without destroying the host, leading to the idea, that in order to destroy the darkness fully, Killian, Emma and Rumpel would need to die as well.
I never said they destroyed it. They BANISHED it from themselves using Excalibur, unknowing that Rumple had turned the sword into a conduit for the Dark One powers, so that they could be his again. What I want to know is why Rumple needed to when he has fairy blood and, with that, the potential to wield Fairy Magic.
Owen Whalley i think you need a wand to wield fairy magic. but the man have those already. And i think rumpel's reason for taking the darkness was some bs given to Emma. The man wasn't in the backroom of the shop for the long to do what he did. He also did tell Emma Excalibur chose its miracles. At that time Emma was full of darkness so Excalibur wouldn't have done anything for her. The most likely scenario was he did as backup plan. In case both Hook and Emma kill one another and were unable to banished the darkness. Another thing was Killian was in the Under World. Meaning he did not die a Hero's death like Neal. So he wasn't send to his little island where he could had lived the rest of his life as a hero. Meaning the plan did not work. Although actions heroic in some eyes, its result were fruitless. Meaning had Gold not interfere the darkness would had simply just would had got out
She's lying she didn't choose power over him the only reason she's a fairy in the first place is because she turned herself into one to help protect him turns out he's a savior or he was supposed to be until she altered his fate to protect him and she invented the dark curse and then got vanished before she could cast it the only reason she's evil in the first place and she kidnaps kids because she's trying to find her way back to him she can only leave her Dimension temporarily long enough to bring people back with her so she can find a way out and cast The Curse she wants to erase what he Humanity left in em or at least that's the plan she has now but I'm pretty sure she just wants to cast the dark curse to get an upgrade so she could find MN and make sure she doesn't become a hero but now her plan is changed that was all the kids she kept that she plans to use one of them to free her and cast the dark curse and give him all the power that he wants now that she knows he's The Dark One.
Something tells me Snow White and the Black Fairy may officially have a past I don't think the writers would skip a juicy tale about how Snow crossed paths with Her and what deal she made to get that Black Fairy dust, she intended to use on Regina, but ended up using it on herself.

some people say Black fairy is an imaginary character by writers! maybe it's true, maybe not! but for me, here it is Changeling: I think we all know the myth behind stolen children in medieval old European countries and especially Scotland(where Rumple and his father originally come from) The Enchantress: some say the Enchantress who turned beast, is actually his mother. La Llorona: loosing her baby or babies(maybe killing them, herself, maybe not) and spending the eternity, searching for her baby or babies and instead steeling other people's children but never finding what she's looking for and making other people miserable in the process. well, we all know she did make her child miserable and didn't exactly needed to kill him to do so. Banshee: a creature who's a fairy and also a dead baby in backstory but not exactly a benevolent and pretty kind of fairy

The mom fooled me, because i saw a clip in which her son fairy told the mom that her son had to die in order for others to live and in this scene she laughs at her son pain.,
What I don't understand is why she didn't just tell him the truth. She didn't abandon him the blue fairy sealed her away. Had she told him the truth the entire story of OUAT would be different.

So his father was Peter Pan and his mother was the dark fairy and both of them abandoned him- now you can see why he’s so evil it’s because he didn’t have any father or mother figure since like the age of 8
