+kayceeBurtonFreak Yeah, at least Rumple was justified in the first two seasons since 1) the seer (and later his inherited powers) told him about the future up to Emma breaking the first curse, 2) Rumple needed magic to help him get to Baelfire, and 3) Regina later messed with Rumple by turning Belle into Lacey. At least he returned her memories at the risk of losing Belle. Since his affiliation with the Queens of Darkness, however, I'm not sure about his motives anymore.

Anyone ever notice Belle makes REALLY poor decisions? I mean, she broke it off that other time when he finally became a hero, what she always wanted, and left him alone without any form of comfort so he ended up wishing he at least had his powers back (he knows no one can control Belle). This time, she breaks it off because a BABY, that HASN'T BEEN BORN YET, tells her to. BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY HER BABY WOULD KNOW THE INTER-WORKINGS OF THE BAE-RUMPEL RELATIONSHIP. iIt's not like he's been stuck in a womb or anything. OH WAIT
If you've been listening to anything she has said, Rumpled emotionally HURTS her. ALL OF THE TIME. I love him but he hurts her, he lies, he never tells her the truth. She doesn't want that kind of relationship, she wants a man who will never break her trust. She loves Rumple, but she wants to stop hurting. And to be honest, if you saw your future son and he told you that your husband will tear you apart, you'll probably freak out too... Especially knowing your husband abandoned his first son for magic.
I’m a year late here but they both made terrible fucking decisions. Neither of them could make up their minds Belle at first wanted him to be a man, to use magic for good, she wanted him to be a good man. A hero. Well he tried, he did. He actually gave his life to save the town from Pan. That wasn’t good enough though, because after she brought him back to life she continuously swaps what it is she wants from him. Season 3b wasn’t problematic because he’s locked up under Zelena’s watch at that time...but from 4 to 6 she was just not having anything he had to offer. She wants him to stop using magic and be a man. So yeah, a lot about season 4 was about lack of truth, trust, and that, but like she doesn’t even really look for a solution. She kicks him out of town, and gets upset when he comes back to try and change things for what he thought would be the best, (but honestly wasn’t at all, lmao) but they end up talking about it in the end if I remember right but then He loses his powers and becomes the man he used to be at the end of 4b and then throughout 5a she’s upset that he can’t protect her and their family and friend and be a hero. So he winds up getting his powers back, big whoop. He likes his magic. It makes him stronger. Yeah, he could make some better choices with how he uses it but when she finds out about his powers again their literally in Hell’s waiting room and the fucking devil is after their baby, trying to tear their family apart and Rumple says “I’ll do everything in my power to keep you and the child safe” (or something along those lines) but she isn’t fucking impressed with that and decides he can only use his dark magic when she deems it appropriate and that they shouldn’t use it to try to get rid of the fucking evil god man trying to rip a fetus from her womb. Rumple is really just trying to protect her and the baby the best he can in the best way he knows how to at that point and she’s like ‘nah, you shouldn’t have gotten your dark magic back and should be fighting fucking Hades, god of the underworld with your bare fists right now’ or some shit like really Belle? Then she gets so upset she decides to put herself under this dumbass sleeping curse and he’s not allowed to wake her up from it??? How the fuck else does he get you awake after you dad decides to be an ass? He literally tries his hardest to get enough power to find some means of waking you up only for you to listen to a fetus and decide you want nothing to do with him again. Then when there’s a shit ton of strange potentially dangerous people running around StoryBrooke in 5b he once again tries to protect her and the child only for her to get all pissy like ‘no! I don’t need you to protect me from anything!’ Bitch not even 15 episodes ago you wanted him to fight a fucking 12 foot bear being puppeted by the dark one with nothing but his cane! And he ended up using a magical powder to do so! Make up your mind! Do you want him to be able to protect you and others, or do you want him magicless? Because there’s no way to have both! He’s a 300 year old crippled man with like -5 physical strength... he can’t even fucking walk up right on his own without magic! Then in season 6 she’s so fucking happy that he’s using his magic to protect Gideon from having to use magic and it’s just Make up your mind Can he fucking use magic to protect you and the fam or are you capable of surviving major magical threats completely on your own? Season 6 gladly returned the most of their issues back to his lying and hiding things problems and they manage to work things out in the end and get a happy beginning but holy shit... For a good two seasons it was Belle yelling “I need a hero! Save me! But no magic allowed!” It was fucking hell. And I was honestly kind of disappointed that Belle didn’t really make any moves towards the acceptance of his magic. I understood her want for him to be truthful and honest and open with her, but she could’ve taken a step forwards as well and said ‘well you can use your magic when it’s necessary, like there’s another big threat or something, just please don’t kill or torture any innocents” He made the steps in the end to become closer to what she expected from him. He really did put in the effort to be the best man he could be, but she didn’t really do anything in return except complain and cry a lot because he’s not an ordinary man and likes having magic powers
I understsnd he emotional hirt her but she turned around and emotional hurt him. And when he finally became somewhat of a hero she still didnt care. She took his and her child away from him. The one thing, the worst thing she could do. Calling him a bad father. Thats like stabbing him in the back.
Marti DaVoid ya agreed with you. But i think the writers did that on purpose. There was a very sort time i kind of hated belle. And it hink bc the forst 3/4 season it wad all about " Runple is only slightly human, and humans make mistake" but up untill ya now the end. It was all about " Belle ia human, and she makes mistakes." It showed us thst everyone make mistakes. And in the end she does apotligize and they do have a happy ending. So she made up for it on my opinion.
To me it was Mila who destroyed their family by taking out all her anger and resentment onto rumple for what staying alive for her and their son she was the true beast
To be fair Rumple didn't do ot for his son, because when he saw those dead soldiers he was afraid to die and hurt himself He said it himself in the later seasons, I don't blame Milah, Rumple was really a coward then and still a coward now without his power

Yes after season 3A it all went downhill. Season 3B should’ve been the end of the show, with Neal going after Emma and Henry in NYC instead of Hook, I mean that would make even more sense. Then someone else - perhaps Hook - could die instead to bring Rumple back. Hook was NEVER good enough for Emma and their romance made no sense. She should’ve been with Neal. think of the brilliant irony there since Hook’s life’s mission was to kill the Crocodile and now his death would ensure the salvation of the Crocodile, the opposite of what he wanted. Then Belle & Neal could’ve saved Rumple from Zelena, then Zelena would be beaten permanently, then Emma & Neal could’ve gone back in time (which also would’ve made more sense because then they both could’ve seen past versions of their parents and learn to forgive them in the present) without the Marian nonsense, then they’d come home and everyone would live happily ever after. then Snow and David would name their baby after someone, maybe Graham since he deserved it, or even Killian since he did save David’s life. I found a fanfic where that was exactly what happened and it was a million times better than the actual ending. Neal should NEVER have died; he was too critical to the story and main characters. He was truly the heart of the show if you really think about it because he was the reason Rumple ensured Regina cast the curse, AND he was Henry’s father. The show occurred because of him.

@@12classics39 Yeah I'm definitely one of those who likes to think it ended at 3A instead. Neal should have been with his family. Later seasons had their moments, but 1-3A was definitely the show at its best.
Or twins. One of each. That could tie further into the Greek mythology theme. For instance, think about Apollo & Artemis. They were brought into the world, male & female, to restore order. To fix what's broken, like the enchanted sand that created the more glamorous version of Camelot last season. For Rumple & Belle, having both a son & a daughter would've, undoubtedly, become a new kind of glue between them.
I was talking to Stella Stars. But anyway I like the idea of twins (a boy and a girl if you must). I think it would be cool of the continued and the babies could talk to Belle in the womb. They would be the spawn of a dark most likely Very powerful. Maybe because of that they have an innate hungry for power and try to steal the power of the other. They could use Belle and they have to figure out what to do about it. Just my own personal storyline.
No one seems to realize it will probably cause more trouble in pushing Rumplestiltskin away which always causes him to come back, forcefully TAKING what he wants or that which is his, rather than somewhat peacefully coming to a compromise with the situation and making things easier in the long run (plus if he just stays around it is less likely he will return in a violent, destructive, or dark way with potential for death of those around him).
"Don't let him destroy us like he did his last family." In her obsession, Belle did just that. By cutting Rumple out, she turned him into what she feared. Thereby delivering their child to the Black Fairy. Though his behavior was totally abusive, she was stupid to marry and conceive with him in the first place with an inability to accept that the beast will always be a part of him.
When will Rumple learn? He tried to trick Belle again into loving him again. Lied again. And now he lost his new child. And as per usual he will probably blame somebody else for it.
He blamed Milah for leaving with Hook. Granted, she did leave him, but not once did he admit he was a coward and an awful husband and that she had reason to leave. And then he blamed Hook for taking Milah away from him and Neal.
If it wasn't her son than true love's kiss wouldn't have woken her up. Please you guys I know this hard for you guys, but it is time to accept the fact that Rumbelle is gone. I am truly sorry for your loss it is never easy to accept the fact that your ship is gone, especially if this was your OTP. I understand that you guys are trying to come to terms with it, but speculation isn't a healthy way to grieve. I wish for your future ships to become canon that is something that all of you Rumbellers do deserve.
I feel like Rumple deserves a second chance, but I also feel that he shouldn't have the right to be a parent because of how much he proves that he loves power above all, and it's possible that he will continue to make that mistake of choosing power over love(any kind).
Because it doesn't work both ways there. Sure Emma cares about Henry which is why that worked and of course Belle will love and care for her son, but Emma and her parents? They care about her but she will always have a level of, resentment and misunderstanding considering she did not know them until she was an adult. Biologically in this story yes, they are Emma's parents, but in terms of a relationship, to Emma, they are more friends than parents.
I don't like how Belle doesn't want to be with Rumple and that she doesn't want their son to be with him she should know he cares for her and the child and he can actually start making promises he can keep

here's the thing though with this. a baby can't have an opinion. he was under his mother's influence and fear. he hasn't even met his father officially yet, so how can the baby have an opinion on his own father if he doesn't even know him?!
There's this story called "The Blue Bird," and as a subplot, there's a realm called Land of the Unborn. The children live until they're born, learn and have knowledge of things beyond what can be learned in the mortal world. (In one of the movie adaptions, a girl said she'd be born to a throne. In another adaption, a girl made an immortal elixir or something, I forgot); I think they forget at birth. And I think you're underestimating how complex we are. If a baby were turned into an adult by magic, they'd have opinions and feelings, except they'll not have the knowledge to form an opinion about someone. They would see and hear, but probably not understand because language isn't just grasped when you first hear it. But my point is, this is a dream and his body (an unborn child at a few weeks from conception) isn't a matter nor his brain functions, which would be like a baby's outside of the dream. Not sure I'm saying it right, but anyway.
Rumple hurts Belle so much, from what I see the problem is not him be coming Dark One, it's because he always choose something over her , with being the Dark One Belle would loves him if he didn't keep lying to her and keep hurting people for his own benefit
Yet, that's the problem... Belle just can't and won't accept that he's also The Dark One, that he doesn't want to relinquish his power. Rumple has told her more than once. But she didn't want to hear that. And because he didn't want to lose her, he had no choice but to lie to her. Of course he hurt her, but somehow she was partly to blame, wasn't she?

Guys chill this ISN'T Belle's child. Morpheous is Peter Pan in disguise. Before he died he (Pan) put a little bit of his dark magic in that sleeping curse needle that Belle pricked herself with. That dark magic was set to activate soon after Pan died. Since it was just a little bit of dark magic Pan is extremely weak and only be present in the dream world. The only reason he can hold this form is because he is near Belle's child. Pan is drawing strength from Belle's child. Pan plans on stealing the baby's heart right at the moment of birth. A pure new heart. Pan will than achieve physical form and be even more powerful than Rumple. I speculate even further to say Pan is indeed the hooded figure that Emma fights. How am I the only one that sees this?
Hmm its a great little theory, however I would take it at face value and say this 'Morpheus' is a representation of Belle's/Rumple's unborn son - as the adult he will become. This could be said for the vision the Charming's had of good/evil Emma prior to her birth.

This would have been a perfect ending. The love between a mother and her son, not some sick and twisted love between a liar and the victim of all his lies. Everyone rooting for Rumple is a misogynist who wants a woman to stay in an abusive relationship.
