Quick note from me guys, I am trying to work out the best way to record audio and video I think I have nailed the video now but tried my headset for recording and its not great so going to invest in a better mic for my next video as I really have enjoyed doing these few videos! Hope you all enjoy!

What a lot of people don’t know is that if it’s too tight, you can peel the cheek pads and a layer comes off to give you a more comfortable fit

Not in the atlas 4.0 core you can't I think that is the track addition they have recently started. The pads in the helmet I had where all one piece.

Ye would be a great idea for the standard 4.0 core as it would solve alot of the fitment issues but sadly they don't seem to care about that

the pads are in one piece, but you have to unzip them and then you can remove a layer of foam from inside the cheek pad. it's made so you can wash it without ruining the foam.

Indeed but this isn't so you can make it more comfortable it's to wash them, removing them and the using the helmet completely voids the safety rating

I went through almost the same issues with the 3.0. The helmet was very tight so, They sent new pads. The speakers for the shock wave started to short out in about a month, they sent new speakers after a pretty good fight. Then about a year later the second set of pads started to fall apart. I just took the loss and moved on. Sad because in my opinion, it's the best-looking helmet out today. But, The company is not what I would call good.

I'm with you 100% I want a ruroc so much as they look badass and he graphics they do are busy way above everything else. It's just such a shame the actual quality and customers service is so bad. I'm on the market for a new helmet and will be finally doing another video soon had a bunch of life get in the way since the last one but would love to find a new brand that actually do what they say and are not looking to rio you off!

You're not alone! I ordered a Ruroc 4.0 but recieved a 3.0 (in the wrong size I might add) packaged in a 4.0 box! Had exactly the same issues as you did if not worse trying to get it changed. Sent it back via Fed Ex and heard nothing for a month! Sent many emails which usually went without reply. Finally got the right helmet sent out after finding a Ruroc employees email adress on LinkedIn so messaged them direct. Their customer service is appalling. Will never use this company again. They're a shambles. Pleased to know I wasn't the only one having this amount of trouble! PS. Loved the video, keep them coming.

Glad to see this video, just in time. I was interested in ordering a new helmet and was between HJC and this, but I have to tell you, with all the comments below and all you mentioned, I don´t order Ruroc. We have a saying her .... better old acquaintance than new to know, and this my friends, applies to everything. Cheers mate from Costa Rica

I just bought one of their Nebula Helmets as i'm just learning to ride. Hope i don't have the same issues. We do have a great thing in the UK called 'expectation', as its a premium product you would have certain expectations, i've used this a few times with small claims court threats to companies, works a treat usually.

I have the same issue putting the helmet on is extremely tight. I did take the strickers off the visor but have them still to out back on. I wanted the next size up. Im afraid to send it back and not get the exchange and just get charged a restock fee and loss out on the helmet. Cuz the design i have they dont have many of

Best thing you can do is contact them, put the stickers back on and dont mention that you took them off. You could always also check out my other videos the scorpion is a great alternative

@@GhoshyUK I have heard scorpion is good. This helmet was a gift so I really want to keep it. I put the sti kers back on lol but let's just say it doesn't look like when they came off it's so hard to put them back on perfect

I’ve got the atlas 4.0 nebula carbon…. Fits perfect to the measurement of my head, stitching took a few weeks to settle down when putting on but perfect even with the shockwave in….. links everytime too 👌 I reckon you have a funny shape head 😂

Unfortunately not, I recently went to a bike show which had a ruroc stand and got fitted with the M/L which fit great and is way out of the measurement they outline and my head is pretty rounded so fits the design of ruroc. Also never questioned the connection when I used it, just paying £150/180 for average earphones. I use the cardo Packtalk edge now and it's an understatement to say it's miles better.

Their constant new offers are so infuriating. My partner bought me the nebular carbon model which is their most expensive helmet. A week later they were offering the shockwave system free with a new helmet. I reached out to them to see if I could get one or at least one at a discounted price and they just ignored me. Their whole business model is just a bit shady.

Ye for me it's very unusual, I mean the fact they had to close down Engine Hawk clothing due to lack of sales and now they are non stop doing random offers and promotions makes me think they are having sales issues

Wow how frustrating! I would feel the same way about a company if I were treated that way. Again, thanks so much for sharing this! I myself have decided not to go with Ruroc. Because of all the sizing issues and, well, your videos as well. Glad you got your money back! and hope you'll find a good helmet! Am very curious to know which it'll be!

Ye it's so annoying because I really wanted to love the helmet and it was just a car crash! I will be getting my new helmet on Friday so will try to get a video up next weekend after I have used it a bit but hoping it will be a perfect alternative to Ruroc style! Thanks for watching my friend

I ordered the XS in the Atlas and it was way way to small. I've sent it back at my cost (kinda sucks but it is what it is). Communication from them has been excellent and I will be getting an exchange of a size small from them. I hope to have it this week. So far not much to say other than they have communicated with me well enough.

Ye as I say communication was quick and not bad but crap you can't call them. Good luck with your pal just a shame they are still ripping people off on price and that shockwave system. Such a con.

@@GhoshyUK I get what you're saying but when it comes to people experiences with Ruroc I take it with a grain of salt. You're just one person and there are probably thousands and thousands with good experiences that we will never hear about. I watched so many videos on how bad the Biltwell Gringo S was shit and avoid at all cost. Well, I bought one and it's a fantastic lid, I love it. Hopefully this will be my experience with the Ruroc.

Ye of course it's never going to be all bad but my main issue with Ruroc is the Comms kit which shouldn't be sold as a Comms unit it's a glorified music system which is no better than a £20 Bluetooth headset on Amazon but they charge £120-150 for it plus there customer service when it comes to issues they are very hard to deal with like my situation and so many more I have seen if you have a fault they don't want to take any responsibility.

I have a £14.99 Bluetooth headset in my AGV which is universal fitment it has a mic on it aswell which is just as good as the Ruroc shockwave and as it all fits inside the helmet you have nothing stuck to your helmet at all so basically it's a shockwave kit but it's over £100 cheaper lol that's what I mean when I say Ruroc just rip you off

I've had a good experience with the helmet. With that said, I'm thankful I have not had to deal with their customer service. Based on other people's videos, Ruroc is terrible. It's like they'll take your money but when there's a problem, they dont provide premium service. I just don't understand why they have that mentality? Maybe in their minds, they believe they have the best helmet on the planet so they can skimp on support. The reality is they don't have the best helmet but have the worst customer service. I pray for everyone that you all NEVER have to contact them for support.

Agreed my friend, it's crazy how they market themselves as a huge ground breaking organisation but they don't even have a call centre. Really disappointed in them as a brand!

I had issues with the rpha 11 visor system also.Bevause they drill 2 screws in the glass for their visor lock system it made the visors cracked after not too long imo.Now the new rpha 12 uses a different lock.But HJC wouldn't recognise it either.It sucks when a design flaw is the cause.

All pinlock compatible visors have two drilled holes and screws so not sure why you think that would cracked your visor

@GhoshyUK And it cracks around the visor lock on the HJC where the glass is drilled also.ive made hjc aware of this and I'm sure I'm not the only one.Why do you think they've changed it for the rpha 12?

@MrMurphc13 absolutely any visor which uses pinlock has that same system and pinlock designed. Helmet manufacturer then have the choice to use that system or not but pinlock is the only proven system and it's why every manufacturer uses it. Your visor cracking has nothing to do with the pinlock holes trust me.

I ordered an XXL, which is the largest size they have it arrived today, and it did not fit. The website says the order is still processing. I never got an email stating the helmet had shipped and had to email them inorder to see what was going on. Anyway, I've tried to click on the start a return button, but nothing happens. I've sent them an email today, so I'm just waiting for a response now.

Good to have you in the club pal, my advice would be go and try a few helmets on see what you like and if your looking for Comms kit Cardo packtalk is the best I've ever tried

1 of my mates got one last year, another just got one, I just constantly take the piss out of them for buying this crap brand. I don’t understand buying an unknown brand like this to protect you head. It isn’t a quality helmet! I’ve worn Arai for my last 4 helmets since about 2007.

However the helmet is tested upto current regs so there isn't any issue there but the QA and testing leaves a lot to be desired as i'm seeing people have issues with the lining coming away from the helmet and other notable things.

Looks like Ruroc has outsourced their support team just because its cheaper. Seems very fishy company, but Chase on two wheels and many american youtubers just promote it in every video without telling the truth.

See UK customer service was good but no call centre which is really annoying however ye I imagine it must be hard turning down a paid promotion, if I ever get one I will only accept if they are happy for me to be honest as I'm so sick of greedy RU-vid reviews that just want the money and basically read a script

Their helmets are so cool looking like nothing else. But yes with all the controversy I reached out to Ruroc customer service……. And that sealed the deal for me. Only got a bot responding to my email. I tried again and nothing. Just horrible.
