Wow, perfect. I found mine has a crack in it today. Been a couple of years since I last run it, but I know I prepared it properly for storage. Oh, well, at least it will be more economical if I fix it myself. This will be the 2nd time I've had this replace (1st for hard water deposits). Wish these things were designed to be a little more idiot proof (not accumulate hard water deposits, freeze plug, whatever).

That is the garden hose coupler. Look up your pump using the pressure washers model number. Some manufacturers offer the coupler as a replacement part, others offer very few parts and you will need to replace the pump. -Mark

@bigbomb5904 2:02 you can see a little metal bar sticking out from the bottom of the motor on top. Since he has probably already taken his off once or twice before this video it comes out freely. Yours may not since it's the first time removing your pump more than likely. That little metal bar is probably stuck in there a little.

@paulverrilli4899
@paulverrilli4899 Месяц назад
It's probably due to corrosion. Use a penetrant like PB Blaster on the shaft, give it a while to set in (could be minutes or hours depending how bad) and good old fashioned bludgeoning with a hammer to free it since you're not keeping the pump, presumably. Then, I would strongly recommend cleaning the shaft and key and applying a lubricant to prevent corrosion next time around. Careful not to beat on the thermal relief he's instructing you to transfer to the new pump or you'll be buying that too!

aamador50 manual says nothing. I don’t think they are serviceable. Only thing I’ve seen are people tapping drain plugs into them. Seems like a “lifetime” part, once pump goes its time for new washer or pump assembly
@kennethgilbertdds7249
@kennethgilbertdds7249 4 года назад
There is a spray to use if you plan to store the pump like over winter. This is sprayed backwards up the water hose connection port/fitting. Otherwise no. The motor requires oil of course.

@kaostheory1370

Some pumps that don't have a oil plug to drain, you have to use a transfer pump to pump out the old oil. Harbor freight have those for 4.99$

Just move the spring on the idle down to a small hole under the on/off switch plate. You won’t have idle down it will run at speed all times but won’t matter.

Fellow youtuber lol, I've heard a lot of the time it is an unloader issue. If the pump has the water turned on and it stalls out the engine unless the trigger is pulled on the gun then the unloader may be stuck.
