M8 with a 475 is still one of the coolest sounding Harleys at idle. I have an LRS 117 with a CR483 cam and TBR Turnout. Sounds nasty as well. Pulls quite nicely. Cheers to all riders in Malaysia.
Yeah agreed. Sacrificed just a little bit of smoothness for the sweetness on the idle. Haven’t got the chance to hear a CR483 Cam sound yet. But I’m sure it will put a big smile on my face.
My '22 fxlrs with the TBR and 475 cam pulled a 126lb/ft torque and 125hp just on the Harley tuner. The bike now has a Thundermax but I haven't gotten it retuned since.
💯 agreed. Most of the owners were looking for just a little bit of umphhh for their M8. So we found that the S&S475 is the missing link. So if you don’t really care about the numbers that will appear on your dyno result & you just wanna get the feeling of a Twin Cam era Harley while doing your weekend healing ride. This is the answer for it.
My local supplier only has the tbr for softail fitment. Any idea if it can be fitted on a breakout with a minor mod on the bracket? Or the elbow itself is wider for the breakout specific fit? I dont feel like waiting 3mos for breakout specific fit 😅 i have the option to go sawicki but i never heard how it sound in person which one is more rowdy?
Nice setup and bike. Just received same exhaust for my 2018 FLFBS 114 which I have installed the same cam. Currently running V&H shortshots but just too damn loud. Great around town but on a long ride with the wife onboard she hates it. So change is coming 👍
Hi man, I’m loving it. I have same pipes on my Fxlrs and I want have those poppings shen I downshift or upshift I know it’s not good or wrong but I’m loving it, how can I get it? I have now also screeming eagle tourqe cam in mine and wonder to change it to s&s 475 or a star 30/30 what you recommend? Thanks forward
Hey just wondering if you know the part number for the exhaust just got a ST and was looking at this exhaust but can’t find the one with FXLRST listed for fitment also where did you get the bracket for the saddlebag support? Thanks!
Hi There, below is the description & part number for the exhaust if you getting it direct from TBR website : 2018-2020 HD Softail M8 (Sport Glide) 2-1 Stainless Exhaust - Part Number 005-5120199-SG If you already bought the exhaust without the bracket. Vance & Hines have the bracket and the part number is : 21946 Saddlebag Support Bracket
Nice! I have the same cam in my 117 Lowrider S, I have a lot of exhaust crackle on decel at lower rpm, do you experience this? I'm guessing it's because of valve overlap.
@@Route77PJ I'm using D&D Bobcat, dyno tuned using Techno Research Direct Link. My tuner says it's the nature of this cam with a relatively short pipe.
Let me know what you find out about that, I’m looking into buying the turnout, I don’t know too much of a difference between the comp s and turnout but definitely wanna know!
@@gloryedits405looks like the dip is normal for the 475c it comes alive at around 2.5k rpm. The performance from the tbr compared to other 2-1 is negligible
I don't have the exact same exhaust; I have the TBR Gen II megaphone with a 475 cam on my Lowrider S. Took it for a full tune (not just a flash) and got 115hp/125tq. There was a small dip between 3k-3.5k but like stated before, only a couple hp. On the road I don't notice it and it pulls hard. I've had it up to 150mph with some left in it. It definitely is more than enough to have fun with. The short exhausts are going to have that dip, it's just part of not having a longer exhaust with the back pressure. But it isn't noticeable on the road. Sounds amazing too.
