Hey man what gear ratio are you running? I believe the 44s I have a 3.07 gear just wondering if I need to change the gears out before I put this all together only thinking on running at most 35in tires

To fix your steering wheel you need to pull the shaft out of Column and gear box and flip it 180 degrees

Thanks for checking it out! I could do a couple different things to mess with the wheel, but I have some other project work going on right now. I'll be bringing back the s10 build again pretty soon to the channel! I have a few issues to iron out now that she's been driving for a bit!

Thanks! It's been fun and I use it alot now. I'll make some more videos on it once I get going again. I took a few months off doing youtube. I haven't had the time to put videos together, but there's a lot of different stuff coming

how much would you say this costs?

i like it. i would consider doing a spring over setup if i was building one. nicely done though.

Thank you. It's far from a show truck. I needed a reliable, straightforward truck that was road drivable but can handle most logging trails and woods driving I do regularly. I'm definitely happy and much cheaper than any side x side that wouldn't be able to do half what this does

Great video no Hollywood b.s would that work on a 2wd astro van thks o yes would you have a number for the front steel for springs please
@maskedmechanicz2086
@maskedmechanicz2086 3 года назад
Thank you! I believe an astro would be a very similar build as a s10. Unfortunately I didn't keep the numbers from the springs, but they are lift springs from a wrangler. If I were to do it again I would definitely do wagoneer springs. Mine are just to soft

You should put an eliminator kit for the front axle.

For now having to collar engaged permanently is working well. If I snap it then I can grab another assembly for $150. If I was going to compete with it I would for sure but for what I do it's fine. If I upgrade anything right now it will be the rear with hardened axles and a locker

No it will not 4.3 1 would bolt up but has weaker clutch packs and burns up quickly from the torque

Where did you get the bracket that bolts on man ?!?!?
@maskedmechanicz2086
@maskedmechanicz2086 3 года назад
I'm not sure which brackets you are talking about. I used a lot of parts on here. The skys offroad hanger braket didn't line up with the bolt holes. Plus I ended up spacing it off the frame with a piece of 2x4 tubing. So long story short it ended up being all welded

What front axle did you use?
@ShiftersAndLifters

So both axles are from a Jeep?
@maskedmechanicz2086
@maskedmechanicz2086 3 года назад
Yes I used a matching set from a 95 yj with factory 411 gears. I will probably upgrade the dana 35 in the spring if it holds up that is lol. It should be alright

@@maskedmechanicz2086 Very cool! I have an 85 s10 4x4 myself. I’ll definitely keep up with your build and maybe one day tackle mine in a similar fashion.

For sure man. It worked out great. The jeep axles are so cheap and available. As for wheels these old explorer mountaineer wheels are super cheap and I liked the offset on them too.
