Thanks Terje, I’ve watched this several times, thanks so much for taking the time to make it. I doubt that I would have tackled the job without your help.
Excellent video! I used this as a guide while replacing rear pads and rotors yesterday. Over the winter I plan to do a full refurb. Thanks for these incredibly detailed videos, Terje!
Thanks Terje, what a great video. I have just got my T16S back on the road and thoroughly enjoying it again. This looks like a job I might be tackling!
Took apart my own callipers yesterday. 10 minutes of work for the first one, 5 minutes for the 2nd one, thanks to these videos :) Any idea when you'll have the brake bleeding video for us to enjoy (and learn from)? :)
I have the raw video, but dont know yet when I got time to edit and upload it. It takes almoust the same time to edit the video as it takes to do the job on the car... I cover all I do by the job on video, so I have video as long as the time of the work...hehe
@@vel0city96 Hi, my friend! Thank you for reminding me. I have realy forgot to put together that video. I have now edited it, and it is on the way out to you in this moment... ;)
Hi Terje, i have older saab, 87, also have 92 ....so i have 2 books, one haynes pre 87, and bentley for 16 valves..... so the bentley 8 valves book i dont have....im working now on the oldstyle saab 87, with the vertical lichts, and my bushings are dried completely and brakes stay hanging back right side....the outer cilinder moves back with vicegrip, my inner dont....my handbrake( emergancy brake) is on frontwheels.....on that model. My question is: is there also a rotating system clockwise, to get the innercylinder back to its place, so i can refit brakepads?....you show in your video a screw behind the inner cilinder, that i never suspected to be there! I guess your saab is very different, cause saab solved the problem, by changing the handbreak to the rear, in your 92 or 93 saab, im guessing? ...Saab has some nice, but original engineering, i like the quality! Thanks for your great support! You are from Norway ? Keep the saabs aliveTerje, im a fan, Bob Belgium
Question, what part number are those core plugs that cover the handbrake lever pin? I'm refurbishing the complete back axle with everything attached to it so I need two for my car as well but I can't seem to find any part numbers or actual parts for those specific plugs. Also, for both the front and rear wheels, is it possible to remove the dust cover without removing the wheel hubs? I mean I guess it is, but I've seen covers that go around the hub completely requiring the hub to be removed from the axles, so I just want to be sure.
I ordered my core plugs here... coreplugs.co.uk/?fbclid=IwAR1s2HiOYQnRKF0VPgTNw8_U20XhP0RXrwTz_iNtWZsb2Wky5V510YWE0sI# Right now I dont remember type/size, but will try to find out. Yes, you need to remove the hubs for to replace the dust covers...
